1. Success doesn’t feel good - its hard work. The Character traits feel good. 2. Once you are successful, you will be happy - Happiness is a skill… are you looking for success or happiness 3. Success will solve all your problems… success isn’t going to solve all you problems…. Space and clarity to put it to your success BRILLIANT!!!

Someone, a very long time ago said "it is better to travel than to arrive" I believe, and, in my experience that this is very true. And, I also believe that when you reach a goal there must be a sense of satisfaction or at the very least a sense of relief. Most people know that money doesn't solve everything, but, I would rather be miserable with it than without it. For many people money is a very small part of their happiness. Often it is a combination of different things that can create happiness and joy. You have managed to conquer money. Most people never do. You now have more than you will ever need, so let your self feel good about that, that is a great achievement. In this world, in this life, money opens many doors and helps you to grow. Find what makes you happy and find what will give you the most satisfaction and joy in your life, helping others, creating things, having children, building stuff, whatever it is, do that. Surely that will bring you the peace, happiness and contentment that we are all searching for.

Excellent. I especially needed to hear about solving problems first and then pursuing success. That’s such great clarity as I was just wrestling with my life sequences along these lines. She’s pretty much quoting King Solomon btw. Your video is a wonderful demonstration of the power that’s in the Bible that unfortunately eludes many Christians because they don’t actually read it for themselves.

I’d love a video on how to balance the skills of happiness and success at the same time. If happiness is being content where things are, how do you avoid being complacent in your business while also being content with it?

Very good video thank you. I have 1 question though. You are using the word success but what does that mean to you? How are you measuring it? Number of companies? Portfolio Value? Personal Growth? The reason I ask is because of Lie number 3. I can plug in a few different measurements of success and get different outputs. I buy storage units and sell the contents on eBay and am currently doing 120k in sales a year with myself and 1 Virtual Assistant over seas. I have ambitions to expand so that I can provide jobs for 6-10 US employees working out of a warehouse. That is my goal, and you are correct that success wont solve all my problems, but the money that will come along with it will solve quite a few of them. I know you said "all of your problems" which is obvious that nothing can solve all of your problems but "death". Anyway, I appreciate you and Alex and the content you guys are putting out. I apply as much of your wisdom as I can to my business and business model, I still want to know what success is to you, Thank you.

Jeez… you’re so right. My self worth is so tied to my success. I would love to hear some specifics on how you tackled your problems to regain that attention. Like if you agree! Maybe she will dive deeper into the tactics.

Don't see success as a way to happiness. See happiness as a tool for success. That is what I find valuable, in terms of using positive psychology to work on serious problems. What I don't like about positive psychology is the idea to avoid those serious problems, as I see it as a tool for those serious problems. I say serious problem and not hard problem because rethinking/reframing in the right way can make the solution be shocking and clear.

Can't be going into business with someone you don't trust. It's bad business. If you are in a relationship with someone and they are your business partner, you need to get over what happened at Becky's wedding 8 months ago before signing legal documents. Any little resentment grows and grows and grows when things start to get challenging. You have to also talk out your shared responsibilities. But, before that... It's probably better take an inventory of how you are sharing these responsibilities currently before taking on any more of these very important to you responsibilities. Huge part of their success was not fighting each other. Not sabotaging each other. So what if we just changed millions of people's lives and made all this money... We can't even enjoy it together if we don't like each other at the end of it. Their mentor was helping them to find faith in themselves. He wanted them to love each other first.
