Great watches. I own the JLC and it is a great watch (great design, colom wheel chrono, 69 hours power reserve etc.). I miss it it because it is having service right now. You can see it is a JLC by a mile away, so that shows the design strenght of the watch imho. The same with the Zenith. Great design and I want one! The Brequet watch did not appeal to me (I like elements of the watch) although the story of Brequet is very interesting. Brequet was a genius. It is not fair to judge an 15 year old watch (design) with a macro lens because the standards today are so much higher. Lume applied by men is more difficult than lume applied by a robot. With the naked eye the JLC looks beautiful. Just my 2 cents.

@@locutusdborg126 I'd partially agree with you. Loupes were always a thing but probably most buyers wouldn't even know what one was, let alone bring one to buy a watch. Macro lens have been available for a long time in photography. The Breguet has been my daily watch for a couple of years now. It wears really well despite being rather "fat." I didn't really wear it at first because of its thickness, but took it out of the drawer after too many hipster types started complimenting me on the Rolex GMT Master2 Pepsi that used to be my daily watch. It definitely flies under the radar. I also have the Zenith. It's a great watch. I love the size and the history behind it. But it just doesn't get worn much at all. It's a mystery why the Zenith is so unloved. A business associate who also has the same Zenith agrees. You buy it because you admire what it is...but you just don't wear it.
