Before all the fancy stuff came out to clean your floors and cost you more money than you need to spend, we used to use an old mop that we removed the head and replaced it with just a wooden dowel bar across . Automotive shop towels were about 75 cents a piece back then they made great mops and we could use some for each house that we cleaned. It was very sanitizing not bringing other people's dirt into another home.

Always did and still doing it. Justo simplified according to your needs, isn’t complicated at all. Never get rid off towels they are handy to wash and reuse.

I do something similar. However, I find uphostery samples cut them into two inch strips. Sew one piece down the center of towel. This provides an additional grip. Because of this uphostery, do not dry in a dryer.

I think it would depend on your mop size. It would be nice to be given more information do you could adapt it to your own mop.

Наверное, все же не " швабру шьют«, а насадку на неё? Швабра- это металлическая палка с приспособление для крепления тряпки- сшить её невозможно

Good use of old towels. Or a trip to the 99-cent store or the Goodwill if all your towels are still good. But to be honest, I had to stop watching you sew. Your fingers not staying in the "safe zone" was make me nervous.
