Now that i am a college student myself hailing from a middle class Indian family i can tell you that none of us will. We are taught from a very young age that education in the field of science is the only way to become successful in life. It’s the the mantra of every Indian household. They want their child to be either an engineer or a doctor or anything in the field of science because then they will have a secure future both in terms of job and marriage prospects (we are still huge on arranged marriages here). But getting into a good college is SO HARD here purely because there are so many smart students, for each seat in a college we need to compete with like lakhs of students. So you can imagine how hard it to let go. Nobody wants to lose out on a chance to get a job and their family’s honour. Most parents would never be able to support a change in education financially either. It’s a vicious cycle.

The point is, because of or thanks to RRR, people are now diving into Indian cinema. The first college scene that were seniors who was just bullying new freshers like welcome gift 😂. Secondly they aren't gayeous , at that time there was not even concept of it that much. About silencer he just didn't know HINDI well ,so he will just memorise it without understanding it ,and the speech was written purely in hindi even indian don't speak like that, that's why he didnot understand it and about piya calling her fiancee "ass"that is not mean by it she was calling him" donkey " that was just subtitle .it is wrong not even in there but also in whole movie and in sucide of the student the principal wasnot that much to be blame cause this film is mostly about indian education ways . And lastly you just take many things literally which were just meant to be funny. Iam a big fan of amir watch his following movies 1.dangal 2.pk 3.laggan 4.taree zameen par and there are many more too but these are the best 👌

Hence he has no idea what he is talking about. Okay so the reason why the scene in the beginning where the boys were stripped to their underwear exists is because most colleges in India used to have a outdated culture of the seniors bullying the fresh juniors like an initiation program. You can’t do anything about it as they are your seniors and were supposed to follow through with whatever they say. It’s called ragging and its not such a common occurrence now due to strict anti-ragging rules in most colleges. Even if it happens nowadays its very mild like running errands or dancing or something. We have a very rigid societal structure where we are at all times required to respect our elders and talking back is considered very bad behaviour. The “wise” elders on the other hand use this opportunity to “speak their minds” or in other words run their mouth with no consideration of the feelings of the younger person. Especially in institutions of education, teachers and lecturers know they hold the power to make or break a students life and hence the abuse of this power is very common. I think this is a recurring theme in many Asian cultures tbh
