Loving these little lamps, they are perfect. I'm not sure if 'asbestos hands' has a different meaning in the UK, but I've never thought it was an insult. People tend to use that expression when someone can seemingly handle/eat/drink something very hot without burning themselves. I've worked in kitchens where staff have tried to out-brag one another about their asbestos hands! My hands are rougher than a badgers arse and I've seen better nails on an old coffin, but they are such useful tools, haha! x ❤

Thank you for this tutorial. What I appreciate about you is that you keep everything real, if you make a mistake and you don’t like something you show it, because you know in the real world this mistakes when you do projects so I appreciate you showing the true reality of what goes on when we doing our miniature or any type of craft project, because in some videos, they just show the Perfect site. They don’t show the mistakes and how they correct it, I’m not I’m just saying it’s nice to see when you make a mistake and then how to fix it! So thank you so much for your lovely hands and in the real world when your crafting you get stuff like glue or paint on your hands 🙌🏽 , that’s just true reality and the people who have common sense we know this! Maybe that’s why some people make their very videos and they show it like everything is perfect. They never make a mistake. Everything that you make is gonna come out correct first time. Viewers forget that in the real world our hands get dirty while we are doing our projects , your hands are blessed and you got beautiful hands so I’m just wanting you to know this is not fiction, This is fact.! There’s not a bloody thing wrong with your hands. 🙌🏽 😘👩🏾🦲🥰

The Dirty Down Rust is actually from the movie industry and is an acetone based but water soluble paint. What works best is to put on a coat by dabbing it on where ever you want the rust and let it dry completely. It looks OK with one coat but the magic happens when you take a small brush and put clean water on it then dab over the dried rust. The water reacts with the paint to create a more realistic looking rust texture. I will sometimes add water to the rust paint to dilute it a little and then spatter on as the last layer to really sell it. Oh and ….. I always thought it was better for creators to not worry about their nails. That way you know they are a real crafter because they constantly have ink or paint or whatever from a recent project on their hands. Spend more time doing what you love not worrying about your nails. They are just gonna get messed up anyways.

First! these are soo cool. And give me so many ideas! So thank you. Second- I'm not even sure what that comment would mean? Some people have way too much time on their hands if going on the internet and making rude comments is part of their day. They need a hobby..like you have. Also most crafters have hands that look exactly like yours because we use our hands for creating.. not for being a poo head 😂

Ella & I really enjoyed this. Your nails look very nice, but you are just as talented with them unpainted. What the heck are asbestos hands anyway?? Some people’s children..

"Asbestos hands" 😂 I never paint my nails because *healthcare worker* and they would get messed up with super glue/acetone based stain/tape anyway!

These are amazing!😍 And whomever felt the need to make such a horrible comment (nothing at all wrong with your hands or nails) probably hasn't seen the outside world in a long time as they don't leave their troll hole (and they probably have an asbestos face na na nana na!)🙈🤣

The lamps are fantastic - as always & if I had even half your talent I'd be happy! @jojosmumdorothy2829 I didn't see the original comment so I'm not sure what was said about nails but if it was your comment that inadvertently started the 'how rude' snowball then I'm gathering that you're from the UK. (or maybe are just familiar with the asbestos reference) Coming from the UK, I know exactly how you meant it and can vouch for the fact that this expression is really common and in no way offensive. To anyone who's not aware, asbestos is a material which is heat resistant so can withstand high temperatures without being adversely affected and the 'saying' in question originated about chefs who could seemingly stick their hands in any boiling liquid or heat with little or no effect I've always used "you must have asbestos fingers" but I also say "you must have an asbestos mouth" (particularly to my other half when he eats things straight out of the oven or has an extremely hot & spicy Jalfrezi!) it never occurred to me until reading these comments that it could be taken as derogatory but, obviously it has been. If I come across an expression or word that I'm unfamiliar with, I Google it first, which has proved useful on more than one occasion. I love QCM & this community but feel that the distance across the pond has led to unfair ridicule on this occasion as, honestly, it's not an insult. As I said, I can't comment on the 'nails' part of it (except to say that colour's gorgeous 😍) Ps. I have asbestos fingers and am proud of it cos when I'm dealing with hot glue, it's most definitely an advantage 👍😁

I was literally just saying today that i need to learn to make pendant lights. I need a much smaller scale tho. Like 1:24. Any suggestions? 😊❤

I just Googled it, and there are mini suction cups! That would work for half scale.

Some people need to learn that other humans don't exist to fit into their vision of beauty. Comments about others' appearances always tell more about the person making the comment than the person they are bullying.

"Asbestos hands?" Really? I guess that means anyone who actually uses their hands for anything other than picking their nose has those same hands! Full disclosure: I have noticed your hands many times. I find them entertaining. They have a lived in look that i find appealing, maybe because my own look the same, except more scarred (frightened animals lash out sometimes). Be you, Queen. Be you. ❤

I am ready to FIGHT who ever said anything about your hands!!!! Crafters, artists, etc. use our hands to make stuff!!! I’ve never noticed anything about your hands, but as someone else who crafts and does things my hands have cuts, scuffs, stains and inconsistent nail length due to thin ass nails getting damaged, etc. even super glue spots I get here and there. But you can also paint your nails if it makes you happy❤
