Nice review, thank you! Great budget multi-purpose gimbal both for those who want to have AIO gimbal usable both for their smartphone and action cameras. Probably I would go that way and buy this one if my wife had a need for gimbal that she could use with her smartphone and I could use it too with my action camera, but she doesn't need gimbal for her smartphone and my wallet was happy because of that fact :) Ordered Hohem iSteady Pro 2 from TomTop for just $71.99, only 11 days for delivery and my Firefly 8SE 170°FOV is more than happy, me too. Once again thank you for this review too, your YT review of iSteady Pro 2 was the one (besides that one on Worth it or not channel) that convinced me that iSteady Pro 2 is the right gimbal for me. Ha! I just purchased this gimbal to give my old action cams a second life -- the Contour Roam and Roam 3! LOL! BUT, I also bought it for my DJI Osmo Action because it cannot take advantated of its RockSteady EIS while in HDR model, so this gimbal will reconcile that shortcoming. I imagine I can again use one of my old Canon PowerShot cameras as well. So, this is a great investment. Thank you for this video. Liked and subscribed.

Yeah, it does. You will have to hold it horizontally.

SInce you mostly shoot with action cameras, I think the Mobile Plus makes good sense - it is almost as big as this one; Same motors, same kind of operation. And much easier and quicker to mount. With an actioncam plate it will be great.

Yes, you can use it with both devices. Likely the Hero Max will show part of the gimbal if you are using the 360-degree mode.

Because I've bought crane m2 last Xmas n found it difficult to balance, and also quite big compared to those tiny phone gimbal, so it attracts attention when I'm using it which I just hope to quietly do some filming while walking alone... and BTW is isteady multi the same as isteady X..? I just bought one second from CEX UK. But it just isn't as good as you all say. Well it won't calibrate well. Then when it does its just doesn't respond with the trigger button. Sometimes it just powers off even when fully charged. Think I'll get a Dji osmo 3.

Usually - the calibration is mostly dependant on balancing the gimbal correctly. If it isn't, and if the motors are not well tuned - you will get vibrations; Hybrid gimbals covering many devices usually require a lot more attention, because the differences in terms of payload are more serious as compared to other gimbals. In the end - your idea to get Osmo 3 is quite reasonable. It has limited angles, but much easier to deal with.

It didn't feel right and I remember it did hit something when it moved around, but I think it had the clearance, maybe I did something wrong. I just realized that it's no good for my needs, as I have a soon to be 3 year old and he's to crazy to be dealing with a gimble.

I owned it for 1 day! A lot of motornoise ruïned my video on the sony RX100M3. Maybe I did something wrong....bit I send it back!! I dont know of iets beter with a phone.... Thing with these gimbals is that you need some time to get used to it and get to know how to get the maximum out of it. If there is noise - likely it is either not balanced, or the motor gain is too high or low. You can check the app for adjustments.

PAY ATTENTION!! Not all cameras that are on the list of suitable for the Isteady Multi are suitable. I have the Nikon Coolpix A 900, which stands on their sufferings but does not fit on the Multi. That is deception. Hohem easily gets rid of it with the words “sorry, but we have no solution for you. just try sending it back "That is a bad service !!
