Ekblad is low key playing lights out right now. He’s been our best defenseman by far and is sitting at a ppg if I’m correct. I know he looks like he’s 30 but he’s only 24 playing a position where players don’t typically hit their strides until 26-27 years old. I have a very good feeling that Aaron will be a top 10 (maybe even top 5) defenseman very soon. Edit: Saw I posted a comment earlier regarding Ekblad on this video. Hey, Rob. Love the channel, but you’re missing what might be the biggest incident to get a player traded in NHL history. Dany Heatley totalled his car after driving irresponsibility and speeding killing teammate, Dan Snyder, who was a passenger and hospitalizing himself. Heatley was charged with vehicular man slaughter and Atlanta needed him gone as the few fans they had now hated him for being such a dingus. Ottawa picked him for Hossa and De Vries and put him on their top line with Spezza and Alfredsson where he had back-to-back 50-goal seasons. This always bothered me because Heatley was a prick and Ottawa was just as bad for trading for him.
