@ozma69183 жыл бұрын
As a habs fan, didn't think Subban would make that list. I mean, a few years prior to his trade, he at least had his heart towards winning, even more so than almost the rest of the team, and that despite his sometimes selfish and risky plays on ice (he had the reputation of a defenseman who could score 2 goals in a game but contribute to allowing 3 against his team). That and it was told he didn't quite take it when Pacioretty was chosen as captain over him. That said... There's one other player that comes to mind, although I forgot his name. A few years back, just before the training camp in september, there was a trade in which Montreal got a pretty big and talented forward from Vancouver. Just before his first game he got caught in a car accident, and it was shown he was driving drunk. Never saw the guy ever again. A shame, really, he was looking to be a pretty good player.
@petermills-c1h11 ай бұрын
There was not a tear shed in the Montreal dressing room when Subban left. He never cared for winning, just self promotion on and off the ice. When the contract he signed with the Habs finally ran out, no one wanted to offer him a job on the ice.

As an Avs fan, Matt duchene single handedly worked his way out of Colorado, although I believe the rift began when Patrick Roy called him out for celebrating too hard when the team was down 4-1. Dutchy didn’t like patty calling him out and despite the fact patty walked out before duchene could leave he still wanted out of Denver. Luckily for us, it turned into Sammy Girard AND Cale makar so we made out pretty well, however I was in the seats the night he was traded, I was PISSED. The blowout loss to the isles was secondary that night, I had everyone I knew texting me telling me about the trade after I posted on Snapchat wondering why he got off the ice in the 1st. Roy cost us a decent player in dutchy and a lost season when he walked out and left bednar to clean up his mess 2 days before the start of the regular season (that historically bad year we had? Yea that was the year patty walked out 2 days before the season started) but to burnaby joes credit he turned this ship around. I used to hate joe as our gm, now I can’t say enough good things about him.
@brianjohnson74842 жыл бұрын
Duchene was a total cancer on the Avs. Heard that exact phrase from multiple players over the time period that I did offseason skates with those guys. They all wanted him gone or to get out themselves. Personally, I find it interesting that you didn’t like Joe as the GM. Curious as to why you thought that? Initial thought is comparing to Elway but Elway doesn’t know how to build a winning team. Elway got lucky and was able to bring in top notch talent because of who he is. Joe carries the same notoriety but hockey requires the right mix to be a winner. User man is another prime example. He made Tampa Bay a powerhouse team. Now that he’s back with Detroit…they’ll be back in contention before 2030.

I forgot all about that Hoffman trade, man we could have really used that scorning depth. Congrats on the subs man!

Karlsson got also traded to San Jose but on September 13th 2018 and for Francis Perron and him, the Sens received Chris Tierney, Dylan DeMelo, Josh Norris, Rūdolfs Balcers, the Sharks' first-round pick in 2020, second-round pick in 2019 and a conditional second-round pick in 2021. Guess what? That 2020 1st-round pick will enable the Sens to draft twice in the first 8 picks (3rd was the Sharks' pick and 5th, the Sens') due to the Sharks and Sens not playing the qualifying round

Look up Mike Danton. Pretty effective bottom 6 player with the Blues when his issues surfaced.

Tyler Seguin trade is still ridiculous yea he partied so what he was 21 he still showed up and played and now hes been consistently playing well for the Stars. I think some people need to re-evaluate how they judge young players.

I think I would be a 98 overall. I’m just too good to be allowed in the NHL, that’s why you haven’t seen me!
