3 Ingredient Sausage Cheese Balls are perfect for Breakfast Christmas morning, and all of your holiday get-to-gathers or parties, morning, night or middle of the day folks grab them and gobble them up! They are crunchy outside and soft inside. They are loaded with flavor and really satisfy your hunger. Make some and keep them in the fridge for all your unexpected holiday guests. Don’t let company leave your home hungry! These sausage balls can be kept in the refrigerator for about 5 days or frozen for months.
You can cook these in a skillet with a lid on it and in an air fryer. They are delicious all by themselves or dipped in jam, apple butter, maple syrup or gravy. My favorite is gravy.
Put God First! 😊
Ingredients:
1 pound Sausage
1 pound (4 cups) Shredded Cheddar Cheese
2 cups Baking or Pancake Mix (or Self-Rising Flour - 2 c AP Flour, 1 tbsp Baking Powder, ¼ tsp salt)

We have been making sausage balls for +30 years. I have discovered that it is easier to mix the sausage in to the bisquick and cheese if you let it get to room temperature first. I have also discovered that it works well to put the ingredients in to a 2.5 gallon ziploc bag and knead the bag until everything is well blended. Sometimes I add garlic and herb seasoning. They are best when just coming out of the oven but they do also heat up well in the microwave. My daughter says that the smell of sausage balls baking on Christmas morning is a favorite childhood holiday memory.

I make them so different. Cook the sausage, drain fat if it’s too greasy. Melt the cheese in a double boiler. Add both to 3 cups Bisquick (1 lb cheese). Roll into balls (walnut size), bake at 350° till golden brown. Everyone makes it different.

Super easy & delicious! A new favorite of his! BTW- I did use my KitchenAid to mix with the dough hook. SUPER fast and uber easy! Thanks so much! Merry Christmas!

Becky, you and your family are in my prayers this Christmas. Thank you for the recipe as well as the scripture and encouragement. This month grief has been a heavy blanket for me and I'm trying to shuck it off enough to let that light shine. I appreciate you showing the sausage balls recipe, it has been years since I've made it. Wanted to let you know this recipe works equally well with gluten free Bisquick. It is nice to make it so that those with Celiac can have delicious holiday treats too.

I'm choked up Kathy by the beautiful Insight you have into our Christian faith... I can't even talk right now. Yes Becky is going through a tough time but is still able to encourage others. Truly she is Christ-like. I went through the loss she's going through and I learned that it is possible to have joy amidst despair if you know that Jesus is with you now feeling your pain, and on the other side waiting for you with open arms.

Had to give a shout out (from Valley Center Kansas) on this wonderful Christmas Eve. I’m headed to the store to grab some hot and mild sausage and make a couple batches! God bless

My friend used to make sausage balls! They were so good. I have to eat gluten and dairy free. My partner wants to do a pancake breakfast for Christmas breakfast, and I think these would go great with that. I am going to try to do them my way - dairy free cheddar cheese shreds, and gluten free pancake mix and then get some good pork sausage to go with it. I'll let you know if they turn out ok! A lot of times, the dairy free cheese affects baking. We shall see.

Sister in Christ Jesus, this show on the sausage balls brings back the memory of how my family celebrated Christmas. I just can't have a Christmas without my Lord Jesus at the center of it. Thanks for sharing your memories with us. From Texas, with the love of our God, thanks.

I just want to thank you for the gift of joy and love you give with your show. I too lost my husband right around holidays some years back. I must say you dealt with it more bravely than I did back then. When it gets hard, please remember you are folded in the embrace of our family. ❤️

I do so enjoy watching you cook and you’re being a Christian and talking about the Lord makes it that much more special. This Thanksgiving’s going to be harder for a lot of people, in the last four months we’ve had so many people, family and friends pass away. We know four people that passed away in the last week, 1 long term cancer, the other 3 fell, hit their heads & died. So sad. Thank you for being here for good easy recipes & a joy to watch!

YES! The stand mixer with the dough paddle works very well. I just tried the method and it works to completion in 10 minutes on low.

Becky, you are so precious. You inspire me to slow down, take time in my kitchen, stir plenty, and let Jesus bless me with food and serving others. For example, my daughter and I make a full batch of sausage balls for son Mark. It is our gift to him each year. We'll be using your recipe and video this year. And thinking of you, as we go.

I saw a video that said the secret to lighter sausage balls is to sift the dry mix first and then measure to the two cups. Then when you start to roll the balls, roll them lightly between your hands not pressing down and compacting them. Blessings upon you and your family in 2022 and I will be praying for you all.
