May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me." according to your interpretation, that means all of the believers are God
@francidewall5 ай бұрын
@@Trep3 According to YOUR interpretation. Don't twist the words. "20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me." The concept of "being one" is not synonym of being God. Jesus prayed that the disciples may be one as he and the Father are one, and that they could be this way IN them. This is conceptualizing the Church that is literally the mean by which God is rappresented on earth after the new covenant just like Israelites were in ancient times. The Church is formed by the believers from all nations (since Jesus unified the whole world with the Father redeeming them and making them the Children of God) that are like one single body methaphorically because they are united IN THE NAME OF GOD, in the name of Jesus that allowed us to be with the Father again. Jesus himself says in Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them".

I think this is the first time in their lives they have encountered someone who forced them to think critically about the things that were assumed to be true. They were constantly looking at each other for support when their arguments failed to produce any truth. He never found the reference of the "Father" praying to the "Son" yet he returned to parrot the same false statements.

Ex-Christian, television personality, Amber Rose, speaking about the death of Jesus Christ, she said: “I just don’t believe that Jesus died and came back to life for my sins. I just believe that’s crazy. That’s ludicrous. I believe it’s manipulative."

I believe this is the only way God can be merciful and just at the same time, you reject the Cross? There's no salvation outside of it, are you condemning yourself? John 5:23: "That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. …" John 10:30: "I and my Father are one." John 8:24: "I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I AM, ye shall die in your sins."

@@alexandreperusio1303 1) “I believe this is the only way God can be merciful and just”…so you’re saying God simply can’t say “I forgive you” if someone repents? You’ve limited Gods mercy. Why? You’re now alluding a HUMANS mercy is above Gods…if I steal from you and then when you catch me I say ‘I’m sorry. I was wrong. Please forgive me’ and you forgive me…are you believing that God can’t do the same? 2) You’re saying salvation can be found only through blood sacrifice of Jesus? Well in Leviticus 5:11, a piece of flour was enough “If, however, they cannot afford two doves or two young pigeons, they are to bring as an offering for their sin a tenth of an ephah of the finest flour for a sin offering…”. This contradicts Paul who said in Hebrews 9:22 “…without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness”. So previously God in the Old Testament was able to forgive without a blood sacrifice but suddenly in the New Testament he was blood thirsty? That carries no rationality. 3) Even your belief of “original sin” & everyone is born a sinner is wrong, according to your own scripture. Ezekiel 18:1-32 openly states that everyone is accountable for their own sins. If a father commits a sin, the son is not responsible and vice versa. But Christian’s have the belief that we are all born in sin. How is that fair? Well Ezekiel clarifies this wrong belief that Christian’s have. So the God of the Old Testament can forgive without sacrifice, just sincere repentance but the God of the New Testament can’t? One is coinciding with the belief that God is all merciful. The other one isn’t as the other states there must be a shedding of blood. It also rebukes the idea of inheriting sin, as said passage explains no one is responsible for the sin of their mother/father or of anyone else, so this idea of being born into sin and therefore needing a human sacrifice in the form of Jesus is void. The fact Christian’s believe a 2 day old baby is a sinner just because of it being born is absurd to me and completely unjust. 4) You quoted John 10:30, where the father is one with the son. Two issues with that. A) if they are one (the father & son) then that means the father also died on the cross. Remember, you believe they are one, so that means he (the father) also was crucified. B) Jesus also said the disciples were one with him…John 17:21 “Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” So are the disciples now part of the trinity? 5) How can God have a God? It contradicts the sheer definition of God. You believe Jesus is God…yet Jesus himself says he has a God: John 20:17 “Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’ How can God have a God? If you believe God can have a God then you’ve committed blasphemy as you’ve associated partners with God & become a polytheist believing in multiple Gods. If you believe God can’t have a God, then Jesus can’t be God.

"When Moses came at the appointed time and his Lord spoke to him, he asked, “My Lord! Reveal Yourself to me so I may see You.” Allah answered, “You cannot see Me! But look at the mountain. If it remains firm in its place, only then will you see Me.” When his Lord appeared to the mountain, He levelled it to dust and Moses collapsed unconscious. When he recovered, he cried, “Glory be to You! I turn to You in repentance and I am the first of the believers.” -[7:143]
