I always found it slightly annoying, but also funny how there's Pure Blue Japan, Japan Blue, and Blue Blue Japan. I have a Japan Blue Flannel.

Okay funny story time: I got to know one piece of rock when I applied for my MD. The professor is japanese and wore this sick pair of denim. So denimhead i am on my way out i asked him about the denim....it ended in a one hour show of his denim, all the detail and shops he likes to go to. Including one piece of rock and another good one called Boncura. Needless to say i got the position.

I was living in EU when I started into the denim world but went back CN last year. Denim heads here are heavily into Japanese denim brands and to be fair it’s easier to get a touch. So OPOR has been quite a hit topics among the community. Famous as well as pricy. I knew Cottle last year since my favorite select shop (which started off as a hardcore denim style) introduced some of Cottle products, but those are not denim but something combining a very bohemian style and the full-of-heritage and textured fabrics. The fabrics are amazing tho. I feel like their taste fits me well (Thank you for that indeed!) I did feel MSP has a bit SDA when watching the video cause they always have some fun and fresh ideas in the history-choked heritage world, and I personally love SDA the most out of the Osaka5. But I am quite a fan of another of their side brands(that’s why I was thinking, nah, it could not be SDA) Orgueil, which is styled more into 1900s european heritage. All that said, as I finally realized my build and taste doesn’t 100% fit in a “typical denim head look”( not sure what that really is, but you know what I meant ), I also look a lot at indigo brands like 45R. They got pretty decent (also pricier) jeans too. I’d like to introduce a Chinese one, but it’s more a heritage style design brand than a denim brand, motiv mfg. I like their original denim jeans tho. Their boss is also the owner of the select shop I mentioned. What else? I thought of Kuro for a while….

I can't say I'm much of a fan of the patchwork look, maybe I haven't graduated to that level yet. However, I have (due to watching your videos and recommendations) purchased my first denim jacket since about 1989. I wen't with the Nudie Jeans Conny Dry. I really like the front placket and slanted breast pockets, but I'm not 100% sold on the arcuate signature across the whole back shoulder though. Kind of an impulse buy I suppose, but it's still summer, so I haven't had a chance to break it in. Would you consider it more of a Type 2?
@CeeAreDee2 жыл бұрын
I’d say the Conny is more of a type 3. You could always unpick the stitching if it really bugs you. You’ll see a little damage but not a lot of imagine if you’re careful.

Not feeling the big baggy look, I don't feel that's gonna last that long.
@hellboy74242 жыл бұрын
In the history of jeans and denim, baggy garments outperform skinny ones by much longer. The normal thing in jeans is that they are comfortable and wide. Look at photographs from the early 1900s to the late 1990s. Typically, it's a baggy garment.
@TheTarkvemada2 жыл бұрын
@@hellboy7424 the men’s pants have to be comfortable, especially in the crotch area... I’d advice the skinny fit guys to try the men’s jeans , if they want to have healthy kids one day though..😂

@@TheTarkvemada It's not just because it's healthier or more comfortable...it's that indigo 50% elastane yoga pants aren't jeans.🤣
@hellboy74242 жыл бұрын
@@TheTarkvemada I believe that today everything you like is worth it...if feels good and is pleasant to wear. Whoever wants to wear it tight, fine. If you want to take it baggy, fine too. But historically, denim has been worn more loose and comfortable. I love the aesthetics of the workshop and the Japanese, for example. Like the one mentioned in today's video. Biker and "rebels without a cause" fashion isn't the only one associated with denim. Neither is 80s rock. It's much more than that. It still seems silly, but I like the wide denim even the sound it makes when it moves. Taking into account even the sound is something very Japanese, by the way.
