major kudos to you sir, this is really how it's done. having a looper provide dynamic consistency and playing some actual music instead of endless solos puts everything right into context, all without the need for any talking. thank you thank you thank you!

So I hope you know I loved this video so much I bought the Germ and Retro pedals and shared with tons of folks. I love your concept with the looper and certainly appreciate the consistency it offers. When I shared with folks everyone loved your video in the Keeley Sound Check on fb- there were a few that said they wanted only one pedal at a time in case buffers make the germanium act differently lol. Again love your video and I shot mine as an add on pack to yours 😎 🙏 Looking forward to hearing more of your demos!

Hey Jamie - thank you for the kind words! I know many people like to see specifically how pedals react to live play, when they’re getting their signal straight from the pickups, and so many pedals have impedance issues with loopers and so on (although sometimes I don’t think my ears are good enough to notice the difference) - so your video serves a purpose all of its own that none of mine do. And the more demos of these brilliant pedals the better! One of the reasons I use a looper is I don’t have the skill and confidence to play live consistently (plus I don’t have enough hands to twiddle the knobs and still play!) and I’m always impressed when I see someone who does it well. I’m just some guy who couldn’t find the type of video he wanted anywhere so made one of his own and, honestly, the pandemic has given me a bit of a much-needed break from feeling guilty that I’m not putting enough videos out regularly 🙂 Best of luck with your channel, take it easy, don’t pressure yourself to put stuff out just for the sake of it, make the videos you want and you like. Glad to be your latest subscriber and looking forward to whatever you put out next. 🙏

I have the geSPM. I find it really bright. I basically have the tone at 9 or less (strat or tele into drri). I’m considering getting the regular spm. Maybe they are more similar than they are different. Great video. I’d love to try them side by side with my set up.

These comparisions are as thorough as the ones Gear Gods used to do back when KZbin had clickable overlays ... very good. Regular Phat Mod has good tones, don't like the Germanium one, the Retro could have some niche applications.
@robinho1978.4 жыл бұрын
Hey man, I just bought the germanium one and trust me this does not do it justice! It sounds amazing into my vox! I only use it on the phat setting tbh but I love it. Moral of the story, videos are good but trying things in person is the only way to be sure!

crazy! :o the retro super its a reedition of the germaniu path mod or whats the difference. great demo.cheers!
@GazCal4 жыл бұрын
Great Video. I have the GeSPM and often wondered if it was supposed to be so bright on the Flat mode. This shows the GeSPM in the video has the same qualities and tone as mine, able to be used as a great Treble boost and drive to cut through the mix in a band situation, and as a great pedal to use at home or out of band in the Phat mode. I’m sure I’d read somewhere that it isn’t suppose to cut bass in the Flat mode though, which to me it seems to. Or is it just such a treble boost that it over powers the bass in the signal ? Thanks.
@Dam-oH4 жыл бұрын
I picked one up recently (gespm). I find it really bright overall in both modes . I wonder is that part of the pedal design across the different models here. I’m considering trying out the regular super phat mod
