So basically it's subtle self-awareness by picking up on one's mannerisms? Reading the room? I found this concept similar from studying work culture in Japan, they kinda make you say a bunch of indirects, kinda like beating around the bush instead of being direct. Exercising reading the room often to gauge a situation with people you are not familiar with?

As a Korean-American, it still blows my mind when I hear other Korean-English speakers (UK, Australia, American) accents.

I actually don’t see much Korean people that speak English with a English/British accent a lot

I kinda understand this concept ...even Indian children understand what parents would expect under certain situations even if they don't say a word. It's like picking up the vibes

It's probably closest to having high situational/interpersonal/social intelligence.. Or the ability to read subtexts or subcontexts of situations and peoples and acting in ways that will bring about more harmony or 'goodness' for the situation/people at hand.

In my view, noonchi involves heightened self-awareness and the ability to behave in a way that is acceptable and favorable given the social nuances of a particular environment. It means understanding and adapting to the subtle emotional and social cues present in interactions.

00:16 오늘은 제가 단어 '눈치'를 설명하겠습니다. 00:52 누군가의 신체언어로만 상황을 읽는 거예요. 01:19 백분율로 치자면 01:56 눈치로 예를 들 수 있나요? 02:12 그리고 타이치를 생각하면 돼요.
