This is great resource! Thanks Jermaine and Justin for sharing this! I wouldn't figure out how to get such a crazy lick from a simple D min7 pentatonic scale. (2nd lick). Playing the 5th of each degree : 1st 3rd 5th and 7th degree of that chord is definitely something I will add to my arsenal. Jumping from the 3rd/5 to the 5th/5 is definitely the dexterity challenge without even mentioning rythm. Got to work on this.

I have a question for Mr Jermaine Morgan. How did you come up with those licks? Was that spontaneous while you were recording, or did you worked it out?
@onzkicg5 жыл бұрын
Love the 2nd & 3rd one! I think can fit in many songs, even over major keys- in that speed hardly noticeable it’s a minor.
@altronics738 жыл бұрын
I really liked all the licks but that first one grabbed my attention. What time is first one being played in? It sounds like a 3/4.
@Jraines1127 жыл бұрын
It's actually in 4/4. The accents make it feel like its in 3.

This lesson would be better if the bass was louder -- you cannot hear the bass when he's playing along with recording nor can you hear the bass very well in the recording itself.
