So most of this video was 1.5" front and 3" rear, some was 2.5" front and 4" rear.
Very very early next year it'll be at 4.5" rear and 3" front on 30s or 31s, so I figured let's commemorate a pretty shit year with my highlights from the year.
The year was filled with a few ups and a lot of downs. Kicked off the year with my factory clutch finally burning out, which led to me wanting to upgrade to a heavy duty. Due to where it left me stranded, I went to a shop who installed the wrong clutch, charged me out the ass for it and refused to correct their issue because I didn't notice until the inappropriate clutch they installed was toast.
Following that finally getting replaced, I had to do my trailing arm bushings, and again, new ones failed. Lesson learnt, always OEM, never Polyurethane. With those installed, I got my 2" trailing arm spacers which pushed me from 3" rear lift to 4". This meant I was now maxing out my camber arm however, so I've been dealing with some swaying since.
Once I had those finally fixed, I thought my swaying would be over, but I also needed new tie rods and front upper camber arms. So in they went, a few snapped bolts in my rear LCA and front UCA and it's finally "driveable" again... except this was when my first major struggle finally came and bit me be back in the ass.
When installing my rear lift (the first installation I did completely without a shop's aid), I didn't rotate the top hat on my shock, and as a result I had to twist my shock to have it line up. Obviously, this was wrong, and a year and a half later my shock snapped at the top hat, taking out my spring, shock and tyre in the process.
With replacement springs on the way, rear camber arm drop bracket and Hardrace adjustable camber arm, an engine drop, a set of 2" spacers to swap to the rear, putting my 1.5" spacers up front I'll be running a much fresher and more complete setup very early next year.
I'll be effectively going up enough 1-1.5" all around when complete with tyres, eliminating my CV boot tearing up front, fixing my camber in the rear which has been causing me all sorts of hell over bumps.
With the majority of my lift being complete by the time I've installed the above, I can finally move on to the next important step, securing and LSD for the front and doing a VC along the tailshaft and pinning the rear diff. This will essentially allow me to run full time 4WD for instant response to the rear, while still allowing slip between the front and rear through the VC to avoid any breakages. The endgame for this mod is to allow for much more control through ruts, meaning I can practice more care offroad and take things slower without risking getting stuck.
