I could be wrong but I feel like regular swings gives a lot more total damage than using the heavy attack but still looks like it was better to do the heavy swing for more DPS here just curious though the total might come in handy one day if it does do more

Lament is better, but is inconsistent. In a team as optimized as ehroars, the slight bonus damage from lament doesn’t change the way the phases would go with guillotine, but FG allows for conditional finality to be used, which is arguably the best gun in the game.

Can you do a video on optimal sword damage rotations in terms of heavy and light attacks? Since they made the change to being able to do full damage heavy attacks with any amount of sword energy I’ve been curious. Also think it would be nice since we now have a raid boss where swords seem to be the preferred damage method. Also, comparing The Lament and Falling Guillotine in that video would be great. I know you’ve done these vids in the past but since then swords have changed a lot.

In his previous video, he said you can get a 1 phase with just light attacks, you need the perk whirlwind blade for it to work, that's all.

@@yashugoyal1772 Yeah. Given how long I spent on contest mode and didn’t get to beat Crota I didn’t think it would be THIS easy once it was over. Also, yeah. I run three surges for my heavy weapon pretty much all the time. One of the reasons I’m not a huge fan of the new buildcrafting system… just feels like missing out on 21-22% bonus damage for pretty much free is too good to pass on even when the activity isn’t DPS based. Sometimes I’ll run something else but not very often. The leg mods definitely could use some love. There’s only the orb pickup mods, the surges, scavs, then holsters. In PvP it’s really kind of bad too considering surges aren’t really very meaningful in PvP and scav mods don’t work meaning the only thing left is the orb pickup mods, but in PvP there aren’t orbs flowing everywhere like in PvE so even the orb mods don’t really make much of an impact.

Lament deals more damage, Guillotine has better tracking. If you can keep Crota in front of you 100% of the time Lament is better, if Crota jumps over you and bumps a lot after his slams Guillotine is better

It’s so sad to see how easy he got. Me and my team got up to Crota on contest within 3 hours. Then worked on Crota for another 20 or so. We were getting to final stand every run by the last few hours of contest, never could kill him. (Got necro tho cus we one phased on r first try after contest ended and the bug was working) Regardless of how difficult it was it was really fun and special to see how they upgraded the whole raid. Makes me sad to see he’s back to a strike boss

Hes nowhere near strike boss or d1 levels. Hes pretty easy sure like every boss once you know the mechanics well. But ehroar and hos peeps are high level players. Just cus they low manned it doesnt mean crota is a joke or anything

Crota didn't age that bad, this is just something that happens all the time. Particularly hard raid bosses on contest become the standard. Remember Atheon? Caretaker? Warpriest? All were walls that are now pretty regular dudes. Crota's the same, I feel. I guess what lets him down is that his mechanics aren't that strict, but it results in a lot of freedom. The mechanic really just is take chalice at pool of light, make swords, hit him with swords, have enlighten guy shoot oversoul. What made him so menacing what his damage and the enemy composition compared to previous fights, which is always gonna age way worse post-contest.
