Ya one of the most unnecessary nerfs they have done. They took a gun that was ok on its own and great when paired witha warlock to something that's almost completely unused now.

I feel like Bad Juju should be mentioned, as with the recent change it received to frequently spawn thrall explosions it tears through adds and builds both transcendence and super engery at a terrific rate

I like your list! Only one I haven’t used extensively is verglas curve. I’ll have to try it out while we still have the stasis artifact perks. Also finally some vex love. Gun is so good. Just need some solar burns.

Revision zero at the top is crazy. Makes sense for a GM player, but I'd never throw this at the top for the way I play. Suppose that's the best part about Destiny, guns have their places.

Another thing is Rev0 is pinpoint in 2burst even in hipfire. It's a good run n gun option so you can seamlessly fly through your abilities with it. IDK if it was patched, but I saw Alethonym and booster lets titans fly...backwards.

Great ranking list, Tizzle. My favorite thing about this is that a lot of the weapons are accessible to everyone. Especially Graviton Lance, Sunshot and Outbreak Perfected. I do miss anti-barrier pulse rifles from last season, Outbreak shined through and through for endgame content there.

All I use in pve and PvP is revision zero, one with moving target with elemental capacitor and a pve/super in PvP killer with vorpal and 4th times the charm. I love this weapon. Hope Mercules never nerfs it since it’s a weapon he designed

Nice video, Tiz. I can appreciate your reasoning for each placement. If I were to do the ranking myself, I would have my top two as #1 Outbreak and #2 alethonym. I am biased towards dungeons and GMs. Outbreak is great for supplemental damage and is just generally fantastic for preserving ammo. While I use alethonym between damage phases to build up ammo in dungeons. I rarely ever use primaries for ad clear these days - I used abilities and special weapons (shout out to ex diris, chior of one, and abberant action) for that.

What 3 weapons would you run for non build dependent generic content. Mine is kinetic tremors chroma rush, attrition orbs velocity baton and an eager edge/cold steel slammer. Feels like i can take on the world with those!

Guessed 7 out of the 10. I had Bad Juju, Trinity Ghoul and Riskrunner instead of Vex, Verg Curve and Alethonym. Need to look into Alethonym more apparently. Wrote it off very early for seeming gimmicky.

Love revision zero. Only issue i have with it is i wish its sniper mode did a little more dmg cause it feels like it barely does more then the pulse mode and also its sniper mode should have anti barrier properties as well.

@itztizzle every time I've ever used it the sniper mode wouldn't peirce bariar champ sheilds. Maybe they have fixed it since i last used it. Also it's sniper mode doesn't feel like it hits hard to me. It feels like it barely does more then just fire a few more pulse shots. I'm sure the numbers say otherwise its just how it feels to me.

I mostly agree with the list. About exotic bows, someone at Bungie 100% favors them, because some have gone through several buffs (looking at you, Leviathan's Breath despite being a heavy bow) or Trinity's "from meh to add clear monster" with a single catalyst. Most of them range from "unique" to "it can solo bosses with patience and cook you some fries." As for the nerfs of honorable mentions, I hate how guns like Quicksilver were hit with the "1-2 nerf", as in 2 nerfs at once (nerfing the rate at which you create grenades AND the damage of said grenades was diabolical) or Osteo's unreasonable 4sec cooldown. Or "stupid buffs" like 1 in every 8th shot from SB is an explosive shot because it is a "fun" weapon when I'd rather have subsistence or target lock instead...

agree with everything you said. Especially quicksilver. Should have been one or the other. Ideally just keep the "takes more shots to get grenades" nerf. Leave the grenade being powerful but decrease the uptime and ease of getting them

@@itztizzle That's still a very Bungie problem with overnerfing some stuff (not as bad as skme D1 nerfs but they could do better). The nerf made it so you had to hit all your shots to get all 3 grenades in a single mag IIRC. That is way too punishing, but I agree its the lesser of two evils if we had the opportunity to choose. Also Osteo was nerfed or "fixed" before the 4 second cooldown nerf, meaning it had been hit previously. Gotta say, seeing Revision Zero as #1 surprised me, but I dearly love that weapon (1st Häkke (Fabian Strategy from D1 doesn't count) exotic weapon, finally) due to its versatility, power and looks. I am still very partial to guns like Sweet Business, but given how it has no subclass synergy I have barely used it since 3.0 subclass changes... Its very fun with AWR, but its "PvP" orientation (see catalyst perk) kills it in PvE for me. Also I need to add that Wish Ender was used very briefly when its arrows pierced enemies like 5+ times, doing a lot of damage but it was a bug that was fixed quickly after and didn't see use again until its rework.

Vex Mythoclast is strong on its own. But in terms of artifacts, it will never ever be as strong as it was with "particle deconstruction". And it's sad that Bungie doesn't intend to bring that mod back anytime soon to likely never. Of course, I'm not saying it *needs* the mod to be good. It's a great weapon on its own, I like using it. Simply, it was just very... very much more fun to use when it was literally a one gun army. The damage numbers went up so high so quickly that it was practically a heavy weapon with the infinite ammo.

If the artifact is anti barrier pulse rifes then outbreak becomes the best gun but if its not able to be used like that kinda like wicked implement then its be meh i really like when we get weapons that have the intrinsic ability to deal with champs and not being able to use wicked implement this season really sucks no i dont want to do this to get this proc’d just to have 10ish seconds to use anti barrier on a gun thats supposed to be anti barrier this season based on the artifact

I can't use sunshit. Recoil is too much for firerate. Can't see anything and it hits nothing. Id say skill issue if there was a single other gun I had this issue with. Legendarys in slot come with incandescent healclip chaos-reshaped

Not letting wicked implement get anti barrier was a L. Anti barrier should have been hand Cannon. Not having a auto or hand Cannon in the artifact is always a L.

I don't think these smaller aspects or even the loot system's structure are the issue with destiny. People are fed up with the vibe of it being a cash and time extraction scheme that doesn't care about how fun it is or how it treats its employees. They need to make real structural changes and acts of contrition. Look at Warframe. Their community is happy as a clam but their game is functionally just as old. It's not the core of the game. It's all vibes.

I remember always using sunshot and graviton as a new player and my friends and basically everyone in lfg telling me how bad it was. I felt ripped of when everyone glazed it in riven season. Tbf all the content I would play were relatively easy where the ads actually died that easily.
