Hello, this is Jin Hye-seong, a Korean golf master. I studied a lot of swings and instructors for 45 years, but now the easy swing is the most comfortable and easiest swing. I'm 65 and still comfortably fly 165 meters in my 7 iron. It is the best shot with no injuries and both direction and distance. Beginners and seniors in golf are recommended to do the easy swing. thank you

Hi Jin Hye-seong, we are so pleased that you have found Easiest Swing and have found it to be the most comfortable and enjoyable way to play. At 65 your stats with your 7 iron sound superb! Keep up the great work. Easiest Swing is suitable for every golfer, however we do see huge success with beginners and seniors! We also find that golfers who are struggling or thinking of giving up that discover ES find a new lease of life in their golf.

Greetings from Tucson, AZ, USA, Sean and Phillip. Brian's book reinvigorated my golf game, and in his book, he makes clear how much he valued Phillip's input. It's great to finally see Phillip live. And Sean, it's been too long since I've seen you on YT. I'll be looking for more.

Hi Sean great to hear your comments and as sad as it is to have lost Brian last year he would be so delighted to know coaches are still coaching this and golfers like yourself are still benefiting it was what his life’s work was all for. It is also an honour for me to keep it going and I am working now on completing his second book. Hoping to get it published later this year.

Can we see the actual swings in stop action to see how much the head can move. There are players who turn the head while addressing the ball for better completion of back swing. Lifting the left heel in the back swing is very very useful.

Excellent video. I’ve read the Positive Impact Golf eBook and watched the Easiest Swing videos on KZbin for years. I’m glad to see this new content. I have an unrelated swing question. I see you both wear glasses and are “of a certain age”. Do you play golf in glasses that have progressive or bi-focal lenses? I’ve read that they are difficult to play in.
@philipsparks8315 Жыл бұрын
Hi Dennis - great point, first to answer your question, Séan wears single lens glasses but I wear varifocal. This then raises the question what is the impact of bi-focal and varifocal lenses? The problem these lenses cause is that your brain automatically chooses the best part of the lens to use to look at things that are either, close (bottom of the lens) or, far away (the top of the lens) this means that when you look at the ball your head automatically drops to an unnaturally low position, this then causes a block to shoulder rotation in the backswing and through swing. I have trained myself to look at the ball through what is effectively the wrong part of the lens which makes it go out of focus I think this would be terribly unsettling for most golfers so I wouldn’t normally recommend this option. For most golfers this is not a great option and it is easy to forget to make this adjustment- your instincts counteract this for you. A better option is either to not wear glasses at all or get a pair of single lens distance glasses so your head can be set in a higher position which encourages body rotation and leaves room for your shoulders to move around under your chin. I have never worn contact lenses but I believe there are varifocal ones too, so the same problem would apply despite not wearing glasses. I did once have a pair of glasses made with slightly larger lenses and just a small reading lens (so I could see a scorecard!) but this allowed me to set my head in a good position. I think we maybe need to make a new video just on this subject. I think most golfers who wear glasses are unaware of just how damaging the wrong eyewear can be for your golf!!

Comparing the "la dance" movement to the golf swing makes sense for the straight left arm and the planted left heel. Eliminate those. What I'm having difficulty with is the still head. Are you suggesting the head should rotate to the right as in la dance?
@nicko2428 Жыл бұрын
I also wanted to say that I really enjoy your videos. I'm new to your lessons and am confident that the concepts you teach will improve my consistency and reduce pain and discomfort. Thanks guys.
@Easiestswing Жыл бұрын
Hi NickO. Great question and observation, La Danse du Golf is a template or blueprint for Easiest Swing, it's used to train the body to make the movement an automatic one. We are saying you can move your head in the golf swing, if you watch this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/aauumXeEn7qhbLs Philip explains why. Turning your head away in the golf swing like in La Danse du Golf isn't necessary and most don't do this, but you can if it works for you. Hope this helps and thank you for the kind words of support. Happy dansing.

We are delighted that you have discovered our channel and you are enjoying our videos. Practicing La Danse du Golf kzbin.info/www/bejne/aIWmfGl9fLiWoM0 on a daily basis and making a full turn without resistance, allowing the left heel to respond will help. It can take time to break old habits, don't force it, just allow it to happen.

Break some rules and enjoy and play the game better and pain free. "Break some rules"? Where did these rules actually come from to begin with? What is crazy is the fact that so many are still trying to play by these so called "rules" and have been unsuccessful for years. Break free of the rules and get so much more pleasure from playing. Easiest Swing for me!

How to grip club. I am trying the baseball grip today unless it doesn't work for me. You say there is no wrong grip or what are you saying?
@51004jaime Жыл бұрын
I don't know what grip to have. I interlock most of time and but don't find it the most comfortable. I don't know which grip to use, just one that is comfortable, I guess. Using neutral grip because it helps me keep in the fairway. Would like to use baseball grip because my hands are not really big, concerns about this grip is how straight the shot would be and hands aren't going to twist in my grip.
@Easiestswing Жыл бұрын
We suggest you “hold” the club in a way that is the most comfortable. Note the word “hold” instead of grip. Golf is a feel game, you want to increase awareness in your hands and this is best achieved with a hold that is comfortable for you. We recommend you have a “hold pressure” of 2 to 3 out of 10 - in other words loose but not so loose that the club falls out of your hands. Hope this helps.

sometimes I send the balls too far to the left on the follow through, am I overswinging or are my hands closing at impact. This is a mystery, Im only 81 and still got a lot of golf in front of me.
Жыл бұрын
Do the balls go straight left or spin left or both? It's hard to say what the issue might be Jerry without seeing your swing. I don't think it will be because of overswinging which would tend to send the balls right as the club head gets left too far behind. My suggestion to you is to hit shots to the right. Right, left, right, left, in the middle. Learn to create lots of different shots. This way you will become more familiar with the tool in your hands and how to use it. Another suggestion is to make much slower swings even as slow as 25% - this way you will increase your awareness of what you are doing with the club. Let me know how you get on. And, if you are interested, I can do a swing review for you at a reasonable cost to determine the cause of your balls going left.

Seems to me you need to generally keep your eye on the ball, just don't freeze up and insist on watching the ball while keeping you head stock still.
@Easiestswing Жыл бұрын
By simply not fixating on the ball you will encourage more freedom in your swing. Practicing making shots with the eyes closed is a great exercise at freeing yourself from being a prisoner to the ball and increasing awareness of the club and your swing. Most golfers are shocked at how well they strike the ball after a few attempts when they try this.

The beauty of Easiest Swing is that it challenges you the golfer to check if your swing beliefs are right. Only you can decide if you will accept the challenge. The process doesn't require us to fix your swing, you will accomplish that all on your own.
