Simple brothers, 1) check ingredients 2) Make sure first (ideally ONLY) ingredient is WHEY PROTEIN ISOLATE for best quality nutrition as there’s no lactose, NO SUGAR and maximum protein. Remember, you’re avoiding sugar in your protein shake because instead of having it in there, wouldn’t you much rather have a little donut, piece of cake or portion of ice cream? TRY HALO TOP ICE CREAM for a win win win. Extra high protein, low low sugar and fat and surprisingly minimal calories to the point where you can literally eat the entire tub and not hate yourself because it’s only 270 calories!?! I’m not saying y’all should be eating donuts and cake every day for every meal, not at all. What I am saying though, is that sugar is sugar no matter where it is found so I’m assuming you’re like me and would much rather eat your “sugar calories” instead of just downing them from a nutritionally interior shake. Just get the best priced WHEY ISOLATE available to you and forget about branding! Whey is literally POWDERED FOOD, that’s all bros.

Mistake number 1: buying protein at walmart

Another big one... They can use amino acids to artificially boost the listed protein grams for basically bs technicalities I wont get into. So while its fine to see an amino acid profile listed separately in its own boxed off area of the label (thats common and fine as amino acids are the building blocks of protein) you dont want to see actual amino acids like l-arginine, l-luecine or basically any l- in the actual ingredients list. Thats a sure sign that the grams of protein the powder says it has has been artificially boosted after the fact with amino acids and some of the listed protein isnt actually protein at all. Also just look for sugar and carbs in general. Some of that stuff is just too sweet and some are actually purposely made protein AND carb bulking powders. So unless you are skinny as hell and trying to bulk anything that has like 300, 400, 500, even 700 or 800 calories per serving is a heavy bulking powder as well as a protein powder.

Boss, you know if you single scoop that muscle milk, you get 8.5 carbs with 25g of protein that miscle milk is 50g per 2 scoops dose. It would be a solid morning shake and post workout since 20-50g protein is an optimal post workout dose, and carbs would help you with hunger. I get your logic, but powdered muscle milk is pretty solid (how many protein shakes you know that give you vitamin C? You can drink this twice a day, which is 70% of your daily needs of said vitamin (per 2000 cal daily needs as stated on the label, at a full dose - 2 scoops))

The GNC brand protein doesn’t have needless carbs, the mix-ability and flavor is mid, and will get you from point A to point B so you are getting what you paid for and it’s better than muscle milk.
