I just spent like a whole hour on hi-hats and came up with a unique and sophisticated pattern that am really proud of, only to erase it and start from scratch because I can tell that the pattern is really cluttering the beat specially with the busy/melodic 808's I have, i remember you once said we get attached to our idea because of how much time we've put into it while it's clearly harming the beat, I couldn't agree more, thanks navie for giving us these gems 🖤

The most important thing I’ve learned from you is that less is more. I realised that a beat I composed yesterday was sounding too cluttered so I chucked the atmosphere and reverb for a simple beat.
