Regal T-type I believe is what it was called. 3.8 turbocharged v6 like grand national. I agree about the sport truck segment. They are making a comeback
@greenmachine5487Ай бұрын
I had an 84 Regal T-type. It was basically a Grand National, except it had rear drum brakes rather than disc brakes. I loved the white with black trim color scheme it had.
@BLUPRINT1LEАй бұрын
That’s what it was called, I wasn’t sure if it was. T-Type or not! It would be nice to see them venture off into the sport truck realm
@BLUPRINT1LEАй бұрын
I bet that machine was sexy af! I haven’t seen on in that color scheme in person before!

Long time ago I worked for a Nascar machine shop. We built the 454 nascar engines. So if any of those 454's had more power than they should have had, you can blame me for that one. I might have allegedly honed out a couple of hundred thousandths of an inch on a few. But, at the time the owner had a Grand National with a 455 Big Block in it. Thing had the sweetest purr I've ever heard. Loved that car.

I agree with this list 100%. Bring an Impala back and base it in the alpha chassis. I want the SS

We have the CT5 and no one buys it
@QueTheChaoticАй бұрын
@@eptdy because it’s $100,000 to start. The Chevy SS was $46k in 2017. They would sell a lot more of those at $55-65k. Look how many Chargers are sold. This would be a direct competitor
@BLUPRINT1LEАй бұрын
The Impala SS would be nice but what it will look like i have no clue, we couldn’t base it off the 90s. Version because they was to big
@tonyharmsen5081Ай бұрын
Original Grand National was not twin turbo, but a new version with twins would be cool. They did try to bring the name back a few years ago and called it the Regal GN.
@BLUPRINT1LEАй бұрын
I knew it was turbo of something but it was better than none! Yeah but that Regal GN was all wrong! Something they thru together and then after that the late 2000 regals never really stood a chance it much of an afterthought
@gregoryfolsom7882Ай бұрын
Really wish they'd bring back the Cadillac XLR. That thing was so striking and (sadly) saddled with a slushbox of a transmission that severely hampered its appeal. Just look at how much love there is for the CTS-V, and extend that into a well-styled roadster.
@BLUPRINT1LEАй бұрын
I remember the XLR, it was definitely one of its kind! GM seems to always do crazy things like that where they build a good product but put a crappy transmission or vice versa. Or if it’s good they kill the platform. One of my favorite was the ELR but the downfall of that was they didn’t put a real motor into it and copy the internal off the Chevy Bolt

@@BLUPRINT1LE The pinnacle of this phenomenon was the Plymouth Prowler: the perfect reimagined production retro rod with a dogshit power train.

The Regal Grand National and the GMC Syclone did not share the same engine. The Buick had a 3.8 liter turbo V6. The Syclone had a 4.3 liter turbo V6.
@BLUPRINT1LEАй бұрын
Thanks that’s what I figured! I knew it was a 3.8 liter turbo V6 in the GNX but i couldn’t remember was it the 3.8 in the Syclone or not at the time of recording but thanks for confirming that.

For the cyclone/Typhoon they can us3 the chasi of the Colorado in my opinion

Yeah that could work! That’s the only thing I could think of based on what they have
@quentins5692Ай бұрын
Blazers 100% should’ve been shorter Suburbans. Should’ve been trucks. With truck motors and truck running gear and truck suspension. They built old K5s with the same 350, TH400 trans, same 10 bolt rear end, same leaf springs and shocks, etc that you’d find on a Tahoe or a pickup, list goes on.
@BLUPRINT1LEАй бұрын
Totally agree! They dropped the ball on that one trying to appease the mass market. They don’t seem to know the market well like they think they do.

S10 or syclone - chevelle or nova - grand national - elcomino
@BLUPRINT1LEАй бұрын
S10 or Cyclone would be nice but the others you listed besides the GN is all Chevys. It would be nice if they brought those back but with the other segments they have those may have better chance vs adding another Chevy muscle car they used to have but with the engines they have a available today I don’t see those models coming back but it would be nice tho

That’s true! They probably went tinfoil to just build a car faster and get you in to one quick than fixing the older one. Definitely a business model they implemented recently

Like the grand national idea . With the new lv3 's they have more modern performance potential. Need a good sounding exhaust tho. K5 blazer is damn good choice with a push-button hard top convertible 🤔. Iconic trans am with modern thick cut ✂️ t-top would be my choice . With a sick new once bird embalm. It would pick up the camaro being dropped off group
@BLUPRINT1LEАй бұрын
The Grand National would be a serious money maker for them in today’s age. You see exactly my vision with the K5 Blazer, it would be sick! Now the trans am, I don’t see that coming back because of the Pontiac name attached to it but I would be surprised and curious to see how it would look in modern times
