As on the skateboard, you are using your back leg to create power / thrust. Try using your back foot / leg when turning around from your re-entry , after you've completed your bottom turn and are starting to come down from the top of the wave. Don't put all your weight on / over your front foot or you'll lean forward and fall off. push down with your back leg as you turn back to the wave. Remember your body will follow your EYES.

Nice vid. Stance is so important. A strict squat stance gives you no room for shoulders and hips to rotate, whereas a stance closer to a lunge allows for shoulders to be almost square to nose of board during compression and for more natural rotation of shoulders and upper body through turns. Took me years to work out proper functional stance. In fact, still working on it!

Great video! I have a "technical" question: could she benefit for using a foam board? If not, why? I'm pretty much at the same stage shown in the very first minutes (I can position, paddle in and take off most of the times) and I'm trying to understand if it's time for me to say goodbye to my 8'0 foamie or it still viable for me without slowing me down during the process.
