I have noticed through the years if you leave these sticks in your car the tend to break sooner. I started bringing in the sticks between games and the hotel ever night made a big difference in longevity.

Yah extreme temperature swings for sure affect material of the stick. Hot or cold. -30/-50 here in the winter so I never leave my sticks in the garage 😂

Was just at the store trying to decide if I would reup my ft6 pro with another, or try the ghost. Couldn't decide but when I got home to do a little more research, I find this very timely video. Great stuff guys!

Bauer always had the best blade feel. The Boron venture has created a stick that plays stiffer than flex rating and that is more brittle. Bauer has abandoned retail value with their “special releases”both the Agent & the Proto R sticks are incredible performance sticks but when you factor in durability they are inadequate.

My kid had 2 protos. He said the one he didn’t use much felt like it had more pop so he wanted to use it.. the 2nd game in, it broke. So he had to go back to his main one that has a soft blade. He’s only had the stick/s for a month in a half.

I tried Bauer, Warrior and CCM. I came back into hockey in 2018 after a 3 year break, grabbed CCM super tacks first then moved in ft2 and trigger3. Went to Bauer and then Warrior. Meh. Back into ft5 and tacks 4 pro. CCM makes the best today.

Where do you guys go to skate and play ice hockey in UK? Does anyone know where it's possible in West Midlands? I know about Planet Ice rinks but they don't have Stick & Puck sessions too often...

I'm still working with both my ghosts, and as a 6'1" 240lb power forward, these twigs don't even bat an eye when I lean into shots, it's a beautiful thing. I do wanna try the rekker legend pro though.....

I had the trigger 8 pro then I had the ghost the trigger 8 pro felt like it had a much better shot and release than the ghost and after a couple of games the ghosts blade broke from face offs now I’m back with the trigger 8 pro I think the trigger 8 pro is the best stick I’ve ever had and would choose it 100% over the ghost such an effortless release

Tried proto R and went back to trigger 8 pro too. The puck receiving is so easy even though I use an intermediate 55 flex

I have a Proto and I will say it lost it’s original pop . Every stick does . You can still shoot with them its just the feels different

Great video. My son's FT Ghost heel started falling apart after 33 days. Now we're unable to buy it in Canada anymore so he's back to the FT6 Pro. He says the FT Ghost is the best stick he's ever used.

I’ve noticed this issue with the heel on every CCM stick my kid used. Partly just assumed it was from banging the stick against the boards or ice.

Have a look at this sticks. After 3 month of use - how do your own sticks look like? Not like nearly brand new. Ccm all have issues with loosing paint and get some chips. So dont try to fool us... Nice sponsored influencer video.

Dude no kidding, and he plays in a pro league - there is no way that stick should be looking brand new, shine and all after 3 months of hard use. It's like they picked if off the shelf after that last video and said oh we should make a follow-up.

I’ve broken 2 Ghosts in 3 months. Both in the same spot, 6-7 inches below the top of the shaft. Very disappointed so ordered the Proto to see if it’s any better

I'm really impressed with this generation of CCM sticks. $370 for a stick was insane to me and still is, but they're durable so you don't need to buy multiples like before.

Bauer looks so much better. For average person the Bauer is a better stick. But for a competitive player the smart buy is CCM

People just can’t seem to grasp the concept of these sticks are built for PERFORMANCE and made for high level. Not beer league. Everyone says “oh a 400 dollar stick should be durable” where is that written? These sticks aren’t really built for normal dudes.

That's why, as much as I love the feel of both the Proto R and the FT Ghost, I don't feel like dropping 300+ on a stick that's prolly gonna easily break or that I won't be able to maximize since I ain't Ovi or Drai haha.
