Gentlemen, I awoke this morning with a tee time awaiting me. My play has suffered much recently and I had nothing to lose, so I clicked on the first short video I could find for something, anything to help me beat the s.o.b. I've been playing with for 30 years. AMAZING what a little instruction can do for your game. Thank you, thank you,......................THANK YOU!

Weight transfer helped me more than any other drill.I walk through the shot when I practice and it helps sooo much.I had a massive slice and tried just about everything, but this was the only fix. Anyone that has a slice problem do this!!!
@Budsport_TV6 жыл бұрын
Jon Doe when using any of my irons or wedges, I try to really focus on transferring my weight from front to back, front to back foot, etc. etc. when doing my practice swings. It really helps me to be mentally cognizant of transferring my weight during the actual swing
@erbLLLL6 жыл бұрын
I also have a slice problem. Tried alot of stuff that mostly worked, but the slice always comes back when I least wan't it to. Played a round with my mom today and she filmed a couple of swings, and I'm clearly not weight shifting. Gonna try the walk through drill tomorrow for sure!
@jondoe66186 жыл бұрын

The follow through and weight shift have helped more than anything! This, after re-learning how to grip correctly with the wrist movement have been a huge improvement in my game. I am now well under 90.

Good video. Have you thought about a follow up video about the point you made towards the end? I used to tee up 3 woods and even irons way too high for tee shots, and its something I see a lot of beginner and even decent players do too often. The tee is to help you get good ball first contact, but with 3 woods or even iron tee shots you don't need the ball to be off the ground very much as the club face is smaller than a driver. This also helps as you don't have to change your swing from tee shot to fairway.

Totally agree guys. My handicap is down from 12.2 to 5.9 this season and it's all about the irons. Oh, and hitting fairways with my driver. My chipping/pitching and putting was always good but I just couldn't hit fairways and greens. Now I am and my handicap is down and my confidence is up. #break70

Would you guys ever consider doing a few lefty videos or a swing analysis video for a lefty? I absolutely love your guys’ videos since I discovered your channel on the first week of this years golf season. Believe it or not, I have successfully shaved off a consistent 5, moving closer to 10 stokes off my average score in that time period! I’m 27 and have been golfing consistently for 4 seasons now. At the end of last season I would be happy to break 100. I am not consistently shooting in the low-mid 90’s and even broke 90 twice this year since I found your channel! Love your personalities and the way you guys play off each other. The content is the best on KZbin for golf instructions. Keep up the great work! - Ian G.

Hi Andy and Piers. I get the concept of getting onto the left leg for right handed golfer, but how do you prevent moving the pressure too much which results in body moving over the vertical leg position and an open face at impact?

I already have this drill implicated into my practice and warm up. Absolutely fantastic drill and I believe there is a third aspect to it. I like to feel like the club head never passes my body and it helps my rotation miles.

Thanks for all of the great videos. I don't know why I haven't seen this one before. The set to point drill really helped me. Even without great contact the ball still went straight. My question is which clubs do we consider irons? Are we talking long irons like 3-6 or all of them from 3-PW. I see the guys on tour with a much different finish on the short irons.

Four men went golfing together one day; three headed to the first tee and one went into the club house to take care of the bill. The three men started talking, bragging about their sons. The first man told the others, "My son is a home builder and he's so successful that he gave a friend a new home - for free." The second man said, "My son was a car salesman and now he owns a multi-line dealership. He's so successful that he gave a friend two Cadillacs." The third man, not wanting to be outdone bragged, "My son is a stock broker and he's doing so well that he gave his friend an entire stock portfolio." The fourth man joined them on the tee after a few minutes of taking care of business. The first man mentioned, "We were just talking about our sons. How is yours doing?" The fourth man replied, "Well, my son is gay. I'm not totally thrilled about it, but he must be good. His last three boyfriends gave him a house, two cars, and a stock portfolio."

can you make a comment about keeping from moving towards the ball while rotating through to the left leg-- my issue in the swing (especially with tee shots with a driver) is a tendency to not keep my back side settled away from the ball; do you consider that to be an iron key?
