I like the pastrami at Tops. When I worked in Pasadena it was a favorite place to go and their zucchini fries are a great side. The bread is really soft at The Hat and their chili dogs and chili fries are so delicious!

Been to Tops many times. Oinksters in Eagle Rock has really good pastrami sandwiches probably my favorite. Pete's Blue Chip in Eagle Rock has great burgers too and a little bit of everything and they been there for many years.

The sandwiches were stacked extra thick because they knew they were going to be featured in a video. As a regular customer walking in, they don’t stuff the sandwiches with that much pastrami. I’ve been to Tops and the Hat before and my sandwiches never looked that thick.

If you ever get down to the O.C., you must visit Tommy Pastrami Delicatessen in Santa Ana by the 405. It's a New York style delicatessen and all their food is great but they serve the best pastrami sandwich that I've ever had.

Yo Rockstar, regarding pastrami burgers... this summer I drove cross country from Milwaukee to LA and back, and I must say that, without a doubt, hands down the overall best burger I had was a Crown Burger from Salt Lake City. I tried all the burger chains I could. Crown Burger is unbelievably and indescribably delicious, just ask George Motz!

Not to far away from Johnnie's in Culver City is Sorrento's Italian Deli. It's on Sepulveda near Jefferson. My favorite is their half/half, pastrami and peppers & beef. Excellent sandwich IMO.

Arry's pastrami sandwich used to be great and the couple of times that I went the pastrami meat was salty. So my guess is between Johnny's in Culver City or the Golden Ox

Langers imo has the best pastrami. Now every time I try someone else’s pastrami, it’s like going from filet mignon to ground beef. But if you happen to try The Hat, I recommend ordering their pastrami chilli cheese fries. That’s a meal by itself!

When pastrami is sliced thin like that, it means the pastrami is low quality. It’s a trick used to make the pastrami more tender. That’s why at places like Langer or Katz’s in NY their pastrami is thick. If that pastrami was cut like Langers, it would be like chewing rubber.

Not a fan of The Hat. And I live ~ 3 miles away. I used to like Langer's, but the area is now totally ghetto! 😮 And the owner threatened to close down three months ago. Because he claimed that LAPD Rampart Division wasn't giving him enough protection. B.S.! Mayor Karen Bass met with him. No reports on what happened. But she probably got a freebie sandwich. Lol! His daughter opened up "Daughter's Deli" in West Hollywood". Safer and less expensive.. You have to try Johnnie's Pastrami on Sepulveda in Culver City. My favorite. YMMV.
