Never decide what to choose for the AL according to your OL results. As an example I got 10As , I was the 1st in my class ranking always but I didn't choose bio or maths. Same with my sister. My sister choosed Art stream and became a lawyer. Now she works as a professor in law faculty colombo. Economically well established. Maybe if she choose bio she may not go to medicine.

Value your words ma’am. If you can explain opportunities you got and share experiences in a video it would be a gem. Most parents, children decide to do bio maths if they got a good OL results which is not correct. Sometimes they giveup their dreams. I loved drawing but I was not confident to do it for AL s as I didn’t see any opportunities in the country as an artist and it’s a matter of luck to get a good job.It doesn’t matter for me as I never regret becoming a doctor. But many children are forced to do bio maths instead of doing what they like. Please ma’am if possible do a vdeo in your channel explaining opportunities available for ART students. It would be a great help.

@@ShanikaMadurapperuma I wish to motivate srilankan students specifically with the experiences I have in Europe. But I don't like to show my face in the videos. I'm a person staying away from fb even. But maybe I will do something in the future only with audio at least. But no much time for now. But I always give advice to all my srilankan friends regarding their kids future. I understand you well. My best friend ( doctor) a talented dancer and an artist. She can play traditional music instruments. But she became a doctor because that's what society needs in srilanka. I think the biggest problem in srilanka is students or parents have no enough ideas about future paths. In italy children has to decide their future job when they are 14 years old. According to their future plan they have to decide their high school in that age. Not only bio,art,maths,commerce like in srilanka here there are much more streams to choose. Everyone who finishes school obtain a diploma ( not AL) so direct access to jobs.

If you couldn't get enough marks on AL remember you have enough chances to continue. I live in Europe and I would like to share those with you here. You can apply foreign medical faculty scholarships. Remember to do IELTS .There are many scholarships in websites . Second chance is choose nursing. Don't think down about it at all. If you finish your nursing education well you can earn very well in a foreign country including Europe. But if you're a doctor to became a doctor in a foreign country you have to do at least a master degree or their medical exams. Rather than that nursing is easier. Choose science faculty. Specially food science field has many opportunities to migrate and have a better life. Don't think the position. Think a way to establish economically stronger.
