Absolutely the best college basketball team in history...they set so many records as a unit, like being the most dominating, unstoppable, National Championship Team ever in the history of the Tournament...then they had a defense that was so stifling & stingy that they made teams work 4 every single possession & you were gonna earn every single point & they didn't give up many, while having only a few turnovers total & causing double digit turnovers...it's just amazing to see great players like these commit on both ends of the court!

I’ll tell you it’s going to give our basketball rival a run for it’s money it’s going to be in Chapel Hill that is going to be incredible! It’s Duke wins, and North Carolina keeps winning in football. If you thought the other night was big against Miami, the rival will be even bigger. It will be in Electric at Kenan! 2009 was not better really we had our problems back then we just didn’t have social media like we have now so it wasn’t easy to get mad at the president for example Obama like it is for Biden. Not getting into politics. I’m just telling you that things were different. It wasn’t much better. It is not much worse now than it was back then it might seem worse. We definitely had protests like the campus had against the war in Israel. We had our problems in 2009 we really did it was just as bad as what we are going through now, my point is, we just did not have social media. But no trust me on this that Duke football game at Kenan it’s going to be quite a spectacle! Yes, I guarantee Franklin Street will be rushed that night. It will be a mess if Carolina can beat Mike Elko’s squad with Drake Maye or Tez Walker winning the game!!

I love UNC & will always be a die hard TarHeel Fan...The thing people don't understand about Carolina is the family style approach that Coach Smith started & instilled & brought into college basketball! To him, it was all about the players & the kids & the families & never about his legacy, his wins, or his rings...He cared more for the futures of every single student & student athlete than any personal records or achievements! That man showed everyone what it meant to put the kids ahead of your agenda & truly care for every student & student athlete at Chapel Hill & his teams went to war for him just cause they loved him so much! His ideals about college life for the kids meant it was always to be just like family & they truly believe that once a TarHeel, you're always a part of the TarHeel Family & they will always be there if they're needed! These other schools just don't get it like that & they don't realize that one ideal of putting the kids ahead of everything else & creating a family style atmosphere & approach to your kids creates a whole different level of learning & creates a positive belief in your own potential & so it has an atmosphere unlike any other school anywhere! That's why Carolina is The Standard!

If that 1 and done era never happened (post 2009), Roy Williams probably would have brought in a few more banners. Of course he did get one more in 2017 with veteran guys who were not 5 star recruits. Roy was smart enough to know you can't win championships with mostly freshmen.

I was actually scrolling on YT trying 2 find the full game with the dirty flagrant shot ordered on PsychoT by Duke's sorry coach that might also have the aftergame confrontation at the handshake when Coach Roy Williams went ballistic on Dookies Coach & got right up in his face, getting nose to nose & explaining that he was gonna whoop his tail if he ever came at any of his players again with that dirty tactic playing telling him his team's gloves would come off but that he was gonna answer to him face to face & Coach Williams' Staff literally had 2 physically restrain Coach Williams cause he wanted him some of that dirty coach!

PsychoT owned the Dookies, especially at Cameron...It was like he would take his game 2 a whole different level when it was the Dookies & could annihilate them offensively with so many points & be so unstoppable that they had no answer! He really took pride in dismantling the Dookies & if at all possible to embarrass them because of their attitudes & arrogance & did it on their home floor from Freshmen year on their Senior Night & never stopped! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

This '09 UNC Team would eat them '92 crybabies 4 breakfast! We had PsychoT which would've eat sissy Christian alive cause PsychoT liked it wide open & didn't care if it got rough while Christian would cry if a fingernail touched his little skin! & not Christian but PsychoT is the greatest college basketball player in the history of the NCAA, owning every record possible 4 his position in regular game play & Tournament play, while winning '08 Player of the Year (& was slighted in '09 without a repeat POY awarding giving it to Griffin who did squat but dunk on other teams but he wasn't any highlight reel time UNC & PsychoT got finished with him & destroyed his team, exposing holes in his game), & being a consensus 4-Time 1st Team All-American, that's Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, & Senior year! Then when all the x-factors are factored in, like UNC having the fastest, quickest, most explosive, point guard & the Bob Cousy Award winner 4 nation's best PG, dishing it to wide open teammates or throwing frisbees for Ed Davis, Deon Thompson, PsychoT, Danny Green, or out to Ellington for a barrage of 3's...Ty Lawson was just a freak of nature & there's no way crybaby Hurley ever keeps step with him....& even though Grant Hill was gonna get some points no matter who he played against, this team's defense was too good & he wouldn't have sliced & diced his way for layups without paying a hefty physical price any time he tried....but this team's defense was so great that it alone could've won games, being as stifling & stingy as it was & you having to face it every single possession, but when you add the offensive juggernaut ability of this UNC team to run, run, run, run down to the offensive end & just pour on tons of points during those multiple game bursts running an opponent into the court while being able to score at or above 100 each game, there ain't no comparison to any team touching these guys....Crazy thing is that I'll always believe that Coach K & his ordered dirty hit on PsychoT helped make this team even closer as brothers on the court when Coach K's ordered hit left him busted & bleeding & immediately PsychoT was right back up nose to nose smiling in the guys face! That pissed his teammates off so much that at that moment that game was fixing to turn real ugly & Coach Williams had to physically restrain his players from kicking teeth in...then postgame handshake this team watched as Coach Roy Williams shook hands with Coach K & then commenced to yank him back when he turned to walk away & was nose to nose & in his face screaming that if he ever came at any of his players again with that sorry dirty tactic junk, Coach Roy said minus a lot of his bursts of different flavored words, he flat out told Coach K while the cameras were still rolling that he would kick his stinking butt right then & right there, he wouldn't wait til after the game & Coach got so livid thinking about it & yelling about it he had to be physically restrained by his assistant coaches pulling on his suit jacket trying to hold on to Coach Williams & keep him from putting his fist through Coach K's mouth & finally had to get a couple players just to get him to go on to the locker room....when the guys saw that display of genuine love & care & concern for his players, so much so that he cared less that the cameras were still rolling & he didn't try to do it dignified, he went plum PsychoRoy on that man defending his kids & from that point on this team went to war for Coach Williams every single possession & not just sometimes or when they weren't tired but every single opponent's trip down the floor & it was full court defensive stifling unlike anything I have ever seen....I've never seen a Coach get every single player to buy in & commit to every single possession & making each one a full-blown war of attrition & they gave no room & gave not even an inch that you weren't gonna have to earn & then there was no way to stop this team because they could score 100+ every game if they wanted & could run any team into submission too....you cannot come up with a gameplan to try & beat that cause either you're gonna get blown out the building early or you were gonna be in single digit points by halftime because of their defense....unbelievably great team, best ever in my opinion

@@DukeBlueDevilFan08 To most diehard true sports fans there are a few big rivalries but there's no other rivalry in this sport or any other sport that even compares to the Tobacco Road Basketball Rivalry, & I know how deep it runs & how much the Ohio State/Michigan Football Rivalry may be to some but this is a whole different kind of thing....LOL....& I can't see why people would think any different or can't agree that the ACC Conference is by far the best collection of championship caliber college basketball teams & coaches, which makes winning the ACC conference the hardest thing to do in the country!
