Those Ohio State WRs are ridiculous this year. And Will Howard trusts them all enough to throw some absolutely insane passes. His placement on a lot of those red zone balls was absolutely perfect. That being said, basically every part of the Ohio State football team is clicking right now. Multiple NFL caliber WR's, Multiple NFL caliber RBs, Multiple NFL Caliber Offensive Linemen....etc...etc. Will Howard may be an NFL caliber QB, but I still want to see a bit more. Hard to determine how much is him, versus the elite talent he's surrounded by. I want to see how he responds with a little more adversity.

Idaho was only a 10 point game, and they're terrible. Boise is in the top 25 at 21, but that was only a 3 point game. The Buckeyes closest game was this Iowa game, and it was a 28 point spread. One handed catch with the OPI NO-CALL ...brilliant
@zlatkojerkovic94563 ай бұрын
It's a close play IMO, right before the pass the defender and offensive player are both lined up with hands on each other, there is no push off that is visible, perhaps some defensive interference holding that right arm, then Smith is able to get loose reach up and catch it while then exposing his left hand holding the jersey. It's too close and fast to say that definitely was OPI, because it also looked like his left hand was caught under the defenders before it then gets exposed to being a jersey hold. Especially with the defensive player having initially tied Smiths hand. If he doesn't get free it's a DFI. I'd like to hear what a ref thought of the play and why they would call it either way...

In ANY other conference, that would be a flag and a 15 yards penalty. Talk about your all time preferential treatment. I've even seen stiff arms be called OPI this year. But this kid can grab a handful of Jersey and use it to catch a ball and everyone just yells "WHAT A CATCH". 9:25 Defensive holding on the arm caused the runner to fall, but i think that ball still would have been picked, so i guess that one really doesn't matter too much. Just a really bad throw right to the defender. Iowa turned the ball over 3 times. Twice on their own side of the field, and one pick that ended up on their side of the field. 21 Points for OSU was practically gifted to them because Iowa sucks that bad on offense.

I don’t know what BS Buckeye Scoop keeps spitting out, I’ve not heard a bad thing said about Treyvon Henderson. He’s been absolutely spectacular this year. I think most (rational) fans recognize that. These WR’s are putting on an absolute CLINIC this year. As incredible as it is to watch Smith make one-handed catches, Egbuka play and a stunning game, today, and is having the year of his life. I’d like to see Howard start making better throws. Going down the stretch against ranked teams (not that being ranked means anything after the historic upsets weekend) those bad/missed throws are going to cost Ohio State a win (or two). Short of the sloppy QB play in the 1st half, this team looks DAMN good this year.

@@eric50gobucks That figures.. That shows you that shows you BS’s estrogen-level of sensitivity. One outlet gave unjustified criticism, so Kirk has a meltdown about it every show for a year or two after the fact? This past show Kirk acted like people across college football have been criticizing Henderson from Day 1 this particular year, and not once has he mention anything about Buckeye Beat. It could be he doesn’t want to call them out by name. But, Buckeye Scoop is who they are, and they flirt with over-dramatization, and full-blown hypocrisy, every show. But, the worst part is that they do it with an estrogen-level of sensitivity towards ALL criticism of this team, every show they put on. I look past it, because they do tend to give good info about the team itself. According to those guys, the criticism this team deserves is 100% off limits (to the point to where BS’s goon squad will literally block you), unless Kirk or “Nevada” is doing the criticizing, at which point it’s the only criticism warranted in sports. No matter, it’s their sandbox, their rules. But, that makes us all look bad. *Kirk and Nevada need to come to terms with the fact that NIL, took away those kid’s (and shows like Buckeye Scoop) rights to say “we’re just kids still developing/learning the sport, not machines”. Kirk wants kids waiting for their 2nd nut to drop, to get wealthy paying college football, then doesn’t want the people writing those checks to criticize these players when they don’t rise to their level of pay?? Nothing in life works like that, and those players were warned about the expectations when NIL was on the table.* But, I digress…. Then HE will sit there and dwell on criticism from 1-2yrs ago. Nevada just flat out denies ANY-one is playing bad, and thinks the water boy should be up for the Heisman. It’s actually somewhat humorous at times. Then, if/when OSU DOES lose, due to all the issues they were in denial about, it’s everyone’s fault but OSU’s. So, I take a lot of that aspect of their show with a grain of salt, to say the very least. If people can make it past that part of the show, it’s actually pretty good. But, as far as Henderson goes, Kirk’s made it a point to dwell on it several times (very generally), so I finally tried to find “said” criticism to no avail. Now I know why. I agree with what I think you’re saying…. Henderson’s played exceptionally well the past two years (even with the injuries), with this year being spectacular. I’m praying both RB’s (and the rest of the team) stay healthy. I’m biased, as a 2nd gen alumni, but If they can clean up the slop (especially in the 1st half), they’re the best team in college football (IMHO).

7:43 receivers can now grab the jersey of the defender and throw them away from the ball, with no penalty?

At 7:50 the Ohio State receiver with a, I was going to say push off but it was much more than that, a stiff arm with a hand full of jersey and those two biased announcers ignore it even in slow motion.
