I know you're comment is a bit of a joke but there really is a lot of truth to it if you think about it. If you avid at something then that means you go out and do stuff, you're active. So even though they are better than you at something, you're not putting yourself in a position of danger. It's a little sad but safe.

I had an experience somewhat similar to #3. I was an exchange student in Germany for a year ('03-'04) & there was some festival at a nearby village that a big group of us rode our bikes to (anyone who has lived there knows this is a common thing). I stayed the night with some friends, & left the next morning fairly early, I would guess around 8 AM. The ride should have been about a hour, basically entirely on a bike path through monotonous fields & a few villages. I was maybe halfway back when I saw a man ahead of me just standing with his bike, sort of enjoying the scenery. Everything about this man screamed another time. He was in full lederhosen & his bike was ancient. That's totally normal there, though. I was going at a super leisurely pace, & he waved me down. I stopped & we started talking. That's basically when things got weird. I don't remember a single thing we spoke about, and the scenery itself seemed to take on this hazy, dreamlike quality. I remember walking with this man through what seemed to be ancient forests, meadows full of wild mountain flowers, along streams... just really like a full tour of beauty. I kind of came to, to him saying "well, Les, your host family is probably wondering where you are! Better get going!" I hopped on my bike & did just that. I turned around not 20 feet on just to wave, & there was nobody there, with pretty much just empty fields to look at. It was nearing sunset, & I was towards the end of the trek. While I was with the man I had no real sense of time, & did not feel hunger or thirst at any point of the ~12 hours I was apparently wandering a landscape quite disparate from the one all rationale would put me in. It was a very strange experience, & it felt very... orchestrated? I'm not sure what the proper term would be. I didn't just stumble upon some "echo" or "rift" or something, but rather was purposefully shown/brought to/whatever this experience was .

While Lederhosen makes me think of southern Germany, may I ask in what part of Germany this happened in? Germany actually has a lot of explainable things happening, but people here are far more afraid to speak out about it than in other places. At least that's what it feels like to me. The reason I am asking is because eastern Germany is full of places with strange activities. I myself had one of those happen to me when I was 17, not related to dimensional shifts (I think), but still very creepy. Me and a friend were camping in a privately owned forest in north eastern Germany. My friend's grandfather owned most of that forest (This wasn't uncommon back then, land in eastern Germany was extremely cheap.) he had told us to try to stay on the paths, but being dumb teenagers we just went off into the deeper parts of the woods and decided to camp there. Just before midnight, we start hearing music from a bit further away, deeper into the woods. And not modern music, it was march music. It didn't sound like it was coming from speakers, it straight up sounded like there was a march band playing. We starting shining lights around, grabbed our knives and were already in fight or flight mode. The music stopped for a minute or so and then started back up a lot closer, if I had to guess, maybe like 30m or so away from us. We still couldn't see anyone or anything, but at that point, we were so scared, we just looked at each other and without saying a single word we decided we need to get the hell out of there. We only took our flashlights and the knives with us and made a run for it. Theses woods aren't very big, so we only had to run about 2 km until we found the path and another 4km to get out of the forest, when we got back to my friend's grandfather's house, we explained the situation to the grandparents, who we had just woken up, so they just told us it was fine and we should go to bed, not taking us seriously. However, the next day, the grandfather approached us and told us he was thinking about what we had said to him. He told us that at the end of WW2, Russian soldiers took a group of wehrmacht soldiers into these woods, made them dig their own graves, shot them and buried them there. This has always been a rumor around the villages in the area, but no one ever confirmed it. Whenever I am in eastern Germany among people who trust me, I like to talk to them about strange occurrences like that, and almost everyone has at least one such story, but no one wants to talk about them publicly. A real shame, but also understandable. I think in America there is a lot more room to tell these stories without being labeled crazy (still not much, but way more than here in Germany.)

My great uncle was a native Alaskan. He and two younger men were seal hunting when the ice they were on started to break. The two younger men were able to jump back to shore as the ice was separating. My great uncle being older was not able to and had to stay on the ice. The two men could only watch as he drifted away on the ice. As tradition, inupiaq hunters keep their spare mukluks hanging by the door. If the mukluks continue to swing the hunter is alive because it means they are still walking. For seven years he was gone but his mukluks continued to swing until he finally returned. He had drifted to Russia and was stuck there until he put together enough money to pay for passage back to Alaska on a ship. His family knew he was still alive since his mukluks never stopped swinging over the seven years.

@@philbreach7177 Depending on the era. It would cost a lot of money. So unless the government felt responsible(e.g.: trafficking or diplomacy problems), you were on your own. It's the same as getting stranded in a foreign country without a wallet. And him not being able to communicate, wouldn't be surprising if it happened before cell phones. Because there was a struggle to get mail between all parts of Alaska and rest of the U.S. even until the 1980s. Add to that, trying to make contact in a foreign country that you know nothing about and has bad relations with your homeland. Although, I guess it is ironic because Alaska was once a Russian colony. But he likely had to contact the U.S. embassy to get a passport, and that would also take a long time before the internet. And even before that, he would need to handle the language barrier and earn enough to even reach the embassy. Even today that would be hard, because there aren't any military bases in Russia, so the only option is the embassy. At least today there are translation apps. Also, you'd be surprised how many stories of people being stranded in another country there are. Although most end up there by boat, not floating chunks of ice.

I've heard the Irish (or Scottish or Welsh) story before, so it was interesting to hear in this context. What I mean is that my primary focus in academia is mythology and folklore, so the Irish story naturally sounds quite a bit like a tale of someone disappearing with the sídh (the folk of the other world) for a time. This story was a bit different from the others because the kid ate their food and seemingly suffered no ill effects. Doing so would typically result in being unable to return to the human realm or something similar. Hearing the Irish story next to these more contemporary stories made it seem like, perhaps, the people of the other side (sídh, alfar, wights, or whatever you call them) are still up to their old tricks. Only these days, you might walk away with a haircut and a new phone. 😉

@@2Bad4YOUuu The head injury is plausible. I was in a snowboarding accident and sustained a bad head injury back in 2008. I was snowboarding one minute, and the next minute I was in the hospital, with zero recollection in between. To this day over 13 years later, I have no I idea what the hell even happened. Apparently, the accident did not knock me out, but the whole experience was one giant blackout. During the blackout, I somehow managed to return all my snowboarding gear back to the rental shop all in one piece and without issue, and then I found my way to a ski patrol station at the main lodge, where I was screaming for help. They noticed I was exhibiting very unusual, disoriented, and even deranged behaviour consistent with someone who just sustained a TBI, and I did not know who or where I was, so they called an ambulance and got me to a hospital, where I eventually came out of my blackout and returned back to reality. I basically suffered a period of retrograde and anterograde amnesia as a result of the blow to my head. Neither me or anyone involved were able to determine what caused my accident, how much time passed between the accident and seeking help, how I managed to return my snowboarding gear, etc. Even crazier, based on some further injuries to the top of my back, the doctor that examined me didn't even think I was in a snowboarding accident, but rather was hit by a car! I still refer to this event as a snowboarding accident because, well, that was what I was doing that day, but everything is still a mystery, and at this point I don't think I will ever know. It was as if basic instincts somehow carried me through the blackout, although the instincts were temporarily altered as a result of the TBI, hence my unusual behaviour. I did once have a blurred vision of myself wandering around the ski hill aimlessly, so this could possibly be a small blip of memory that came back. And yup, I went alone that day, so there were no witnesses. And I went through all this despite the fact I wore a helmet (it still very much saved my life that day, as the doctor said I would have died without it). Now what I went through was nowhere as extreme as the skier in this video, but the fact that head injuries can make you do unusual things on autopilot during the initial blackout just brings plausibility to his case.

So there was this guy, an ornithologist, went down to Africa somewhere to study local birds and he had a guide who was taking him down a river on a small boat. They start out and almost immediately they hear rhythmic drumming start up from deep in the forest ahead of them. The dude asked his guide, who looked really nervous, what that was and the guide said, "drumming is okay, but when drumming stops, very bad." So they keep going, camping at night, it takes a few days on the river, and the whole time the drumming never stops. The guide looks constantly nervous about it but keeps reassuring the bird watcher that as long as the drumming continues it's alright and they only need to worry when the drumming stops. Then, after like idk 3 days, suddenly...the drumming stops! The dude gets really scared b/c his guide's been warning him all along, this is the moment to fear. He looks at his guide who's now crouched down with his hands over his ears, prepared for the worst. Dude asks him, "OMG the drums stopped!!! What happens next, what's going on???" The guide gives a low moan, looks up at him with terror in his eyes, and says, "now comes bass solo."

Please bring these stories back. Please. There were plenty of true crime reporters prior to your arrival and the difference between your talents and theirs is why we all fell so in love with you. I know you have to know that. If it’s not possible for you to bring these back, I do hope that how you do it now is just as fulfilling and that it makes you feel like you’re still doing exactly what you set out to do in the first place bc no one deserves that more than you. You’ve more than earned your right to do things however you wish. But we really miss this.

Oh my God! This thing (???) is somewhat so similar to something which we called "khawmu chawi" in our culture, where someone suddenly just vanished and never seen again. First of all, we are living in the N.E part of India...Mizoram, in the hilly region and our terrains and ways of life might be very different but this case and the case we use to have here is so similar that i have to share some of them. For one example two boys went out to the outskirt of the village to hunt bird with a type of sling we called "sairawkherh". On their way home one of the boy forget his little satchel and went back to get it. They have not gone far and the place he left it was literally just a corner of the road away. So he went back to get them...they were just a shout away when he suddenly went silent and dissapear untill now. But among many cases like this, there is a somewhat recent case where an old man is believed to be taken like this khawmu chawi, but he was luckily found again and lived to tell what and how he was, the past days he went missing. According to him, on his way home from his farm which we called "LO" (jhum cultivating) in our hilly area. He was really close to his village when two young man and one woman approached him. According to him, "even from their look, i could tell that they are not one of us. Their facial structure, skin colour and everything about them is different. But when they talked to me, even though they werent using our language, i could understand them. So they asked me or i think its much like they told me to go with them. And before I know..... or when i could recount what was going on, i was walking with them. How i remember things was very strange, It was like a dream or like i was really drunk and couldnt control my body. Even though im an old man and my body is frail. I dont feel any fatigue when we pass through the jungle or when we follow up a small stream. Sometimes i can remember where we were going and sometimes i am completely lost. They walked in front of me and i kept following them. I can recall sometimes that i dont want to go with them but i kept following them as if a spell is binding me to them. So we kept going and going and even one time we climb a small very rugged and steep hill. What amaze me was that i can also climb those hill very easily. When i said i was hungry. They gave me a little piece of something which look somewhat like a candy and when i ate it. I felt very full and energetic. After a long walk, climbing and stopping occassionally. One very strange thing i could recall is...we even walked during the night and strangely at the dark, a light just seems to illuminate our way or the light came out of them. I cannot tell how....but there was always a light around them and the light even cover all my path...once they decided to stop again and i could recall the three of them arguing. After a while the woman came to me and speaks to me but at this point i cannot understand what she was saying. Then the next thing i remember was many people calling my name and i responded to them. At that point i was very tired and cannot even move. The three people were gone and i realise they left me in a cliff. The place where they found me is very strange, it cannot be access in any way. Because i was left in a somewhat small cave under the edge of the cliff where no human can possibly reach by walking. When they hear my voice they reach me by climbing down using a rope and i was finally rescued. According to me, they approached me in the evening and we were walking the whole night only. But they told me that i was gone for three days. And they said that they have visited this place (where they found me) many times by different people while they were searching for me. This is the briefest way i can retell it, since im not mr ballen😀😀 plus its going to be very long so i put it in the shortest but most detailed as i could. Story telling is sooooo hard and i lobotomied the like button😀😀😀

I got really sick once from the flu, after coming home from a 16 hour shift. I was delirious, didn't take my insulin, and wound up in a diabetic coma. A friend came looking for me a few days later and found me in what the doctors said was hours away from death. Anyways, I was having crazy lucid dreams in my feverish, comatose delirium. I would be in the hospital, then I'd be back in my apartment knowing I was dieing, or back at work, in an ambulance. It was all in my head, I couldn't tell what was real, and I didn't really care anymore. I can totally understand how these strange things happen to people. We are so used to thinking our perception of reality is rock solid, but it's so easy for our brains to fill in the gaps, delete random things, or just switch into imagination autopilot.

I think these must be my favourite stories on your channel. Lost, found, reunited, but with these mysterious tales to tell that make my belly squirm and my hairs stand on end. Reminds me of the feeling watching Flight Of The Navigator, when he runs up to his house and his parents are visibly much older and astonished to see their son and they're reflexively reaching out to embrace him but he's horrified and runs away while his older-version parents begin a whole new wave of shock and despair and confusion. And his own fright when the scientists have him on the examination table and his brain starts uploading all this cryptic information. Something about the tone of that feeling - losing track of time and finding evidence of having been active or useful in some way, then coming to and having no memory of your own whereabouts - just strikes a chord with me and gives me such a strange feeling.

I've experienced something similar when I was younger, around 5 years old. I was living with my parents in Melbourne with our little family dog Fruita in a very suburban area. The house was located on a hill with both sides of the hill dropping on both sides of the house, pretty steep but there were houses built all around on the hill. One day when our dog was acting strange, barking at the front gate I guess I got a bit curious and ended up walking up the driveway until Myself and Fruita were just outside the entrance to the drive way. The next thing I knew, it felt like I just blinked and all of a sudden, myself and Fruita, still in the same positions and distance from one another, are in completely unknown territory, but still in Suburbia. I had no idea how we both ended up there and was getting quite scared so I looked for what I learnt which was safety house signs and luckily I found one and they kindly drove us around until i found our house. Turns out I was a few blocks over from home and to this day I still have no idea how we got there. It honestly felt like I had blinked and when I opened my eyes in that split second, we were both in a different location. I'm very interested in these 4-1-1 cases, I might do some more research myself. Thanks for sharing these stories!

It's so weird to hear what happened in the third story because I had a very similar situation happen to me. When I was 15, a few family members and myself decided to go to a haunted hay ride at a local berry farm. There were rumors this farm was going out of business and wouldn't be doing the haunted hay rides anymore so we went to try to support them since it had always been a family tradition. The haunted hay ride was rather unremarkable that year. The actors in costume were cheesy and the walk through areas were just greenhouses with a few cheap decorations strewn about. As my group approached and entered the last greenhouse I was shocked. The interior of the greenhouse had seamlessly and almost magically transformed into a 17th century ballroom with about a hundred "actors" all dancing in unison with period clothes on. I remember I immediately thought to myself that it was odd the farm had blown their entire budget that year on this one area we were walking through..especially since it wasn't very "scary". I abandoned that thought as I noticed the dancers closest to the door we entered were staring directly at me with almost annoyed/confused expressions on their faces. Feeling uneasy and with the ballroom floor being so crowded, I stuck close to the walls of the room just to avoid being trampled by the mass of people. I noticed a side door that was opened and quickly hurried out only to look back and notice nothing was there. I was standing in the middle of an empty field about 50' away from were my group had actually exited the greenhouse. Oddly enough, I emerged first from the greenhouse when I had been the second to last person that entered. The person behind me said as soon as I entered the greenhouse, I had "vanished" around the corner and they didn't see me until they noticed me in the adjacent field. I even questioned the group about the ballroom and they said the last greenhouse was just more cheesy decorations, fake spider webs and blacklights. For years, I thought maybe the strobe lights at the farm had made me hallucinate the entire event but still to this day we cannot explain the whole "teleportation" conundrum.

While true, it ignores impossible data. For example, a person with no money cannot move 2900 miles. His clothes were not in disarray when he regained his senses, and he clearly had some means to pay for everything. The only way I could theorize that would happen is that he hit his head, got amnesia, and went on a trip. However, why did he evade search efforts, as he must have, for his pack to reappear? He was obviously in the area at the Time of the search, so he had to evade rescue deliberately, while moving in such a way as to leave no traces. That requires calm thought and rationality to accomplish, which a confused and disoriented man would not be. So after that, he must have hitchhiked to cover the distance, and somehow gained at least small amounts of money. Whatever he was doing, however, must have been fairly unobtrusive, else he would have been found long before. He also was not stealing to live, because he was never arrested. That we know because he would have been found out sooner. So how does a mental break explain the travel aspect?

3d story: In norse mythology its called Älvtagen. Its when the elves takes/invites stragglers to their hidden kingdom for food, dance, and festivities, making the guests forget the outside world. Sometimes the folks inside the elven kingdom feels like they've been away for an evening and then re-emerges into the regular world years/decades later. If you're rude in the elven kingdom though, they will make you dance with them in an eternal morning mist until you drop dead (Älvdans)

My cousin and I once went missing near Burney Ca. when we were in our early teens back in the early 80s. He and I had went fishing for trout in Burney creek just outside of town. After what we thought was just a couple of hours of fishing we were starving and decided to head home. When we got back to his house nobody was there and we couldnt figure out where they might have been . We made some sandwiches , ate and fell asleep . Some time later that evening my aunt, uncle , older cousins and my grandparents who lived in San Francisco at the time had all showed up and we were woke up by all the noise and activity. We went into the living room and seen everyone stressed and uptight and it was then that we found out he and I had been missing for 2 days and everyone had been combing the area the last day and a half looking for us. They had been up and down Burney creek for miles and all over the woods around Burney and had found no trace of us . Its been a big mystery in our lives since because He and I are both in our late 40s now and we still have no recollection of what happened to us during our lost time on Burney Creek. True story

my ex husband had this happen to him. he was on a motorcycle trip with a friend of his but where I can't remember at the moment. he said he and his friend took this exit while driving. as they rode along they realized it was a wrong turn so they headed back in the opposite direction to get back to where they need to be. at some point they stopped in the same town to have a bite to eat. they struck up a conversation with one of the owners of the restaurant and told him they had made a wrong turn just a mile or so back. the man looked at them rather puzzled at their story. he told them that this exit was still in the towns planning stage and wasn't scheduled to begin work on it until the next spring. they looked at him with utter amazement and told the owner what the had experienced. after finishing their meal they went back to the place they had taken the wrong exit but found there was nothing there but a bunch of trees. they were utterly amazed and freaked out at what they had experienced. call it time travel or whatever you want but it did happen. they talk about it to this day...

The third story has so many parallels with Celtic Fey mythology of the fairy world that exists alongside our own. Almost all the stories have to do with children being lured away from their families and eating food and then falling asleep and being discovered days or weeks later, as well as the drumming. I'm not saying I believe in it, but having a pretty extensive knowledge of Celtic mythology, the parallels are unmistakable. Very interesting stuff

I’ll never forget this story of this man who let his daughter go hiking with his close friends. She was only 2 or 3. Well the baby disappears very much like these people. After the search, her clothes are found gently folded on some far off rock that was already searched days ago. I don’t think she’s ever been recovered and the dad was so distraught. It’s sad but after seeing this, I’m think she may be okay but just taken somewhere else and given new clothes and new items etc. hope she pops up somewhere! Wow what a mystery this world is! Her story could be on unsolved mysteries.

Something similar happened to me during my childhood. Our elementary school has a small forest behind it. One day during recess, I decided to explore the forest. I found a big open field with a big house in the middle and a big pond/lake to the far right. I just stood there observing the place and never actually step foot on the property. Apparently I was gone for 4 hours and the police with their dogs couldn't find me. It should only take 10 min to walk from corner to corner in this forest. When they saw me walking out the forest they took me in and ask me where I went. I told them what I did and what I witnessed. They didn't believe me because there's no big open field with a house and a pond near that forest. My adult self wouldn't believe my kid self either. I must've had a vivid imagination as a kid.

First, I have to apologize for my bad English. It happens many times here, in Indonesia, My high school teacher experienced it himself, he went to a mountain that day, Merbabu mountain near Jogja, He was with his 5 other friends on the way to the summit. They walked together until this thick fog surrounded them all of sudden. My teacher was the last person in the line, he told that he couldn’t even see a thing in the radius of 2 meters. He waited and after some times the fog started to vanish. The visibility became clear again and he thought that it was safe to proceed the summit again. He looked around and couldn’t find any of his friends, and suddenly a female hiker passed him by, he talked to her and she just passed him by regardless of what he was said. He chose to follow her, because he thought the female hiker was also heading to the summit. And there was a time that he realized that the trail was so unfamiliar for him and he felt that he was so exhausted. So he took a rest and fell asleep. After some MINUTES he wokes up and heard some noises, he followed the noise and he found a village (he climbed this mountain many times and he knew that there was no village near the summit) He wandered around and found a big gazebo-like building covered with gold on its poles. He met a elderly man and a princess-like lady. They told him to stay, he refused, because he knew that something was not right. The elderly man and the lady kept persuade him to stay and he still refused, after some hours he told by the elderly man to take a nap, he agreed, and all of sudden he woke up and realized that he was laying on the bushes near the trail. He grabbed his gears without knowing what was happening back there. He followed the trail to the summit, and he made it, but he couldn’t find any of his friends. He asked every person on the summit about his friends and they told that they never met his friend by the description given by my teacher. He decide to descend and report back to the ranger. The ranger was shocked, because my teacher was presumed lost and dead. He asked the about ranger how long he has been missing. He has been missing for 3 months, in spite of that he only spent hours in the village. He brought back to his family after that. It happened so many times here, especially on those “sacred” mountains. Local believed that we should keep our manner and speech when we are on the mountain.

A friend of my brother's had an experience you reminded me of. Happened at about 1980. That person was a boy then, a teenager. In the summer holidays he and his family drove by car from Germany to Italy, crossing the Alps. They were going to visit friends there, like they had done for some years. They knew the route, they knew how long it took and their friends knew at what time to expect their arrival. When they finally arrived, they were about 2 hours early. Their Italian friends were surprised to see them so soon. The family only then recognised they were so early. They sat together and thought about their journey, trying to figure out why they were at their friends faster than everybody expected. And while recalling the ride, they found the part of the distance that was missing, there were landmarks they knew they should have gone past, but they had not seen on this ride. And they found out that every one of them recognised a blinding light right at the beginning of that missing part of their way. They remebered it because the driver/ father had mentioned it; the "sun" was blinding him, so he had folded down the sun visor. And exactly from that point on a distance was missing in their ride, that would have taken them 2 hours to cover. None of them had any memories of what happened or how they covered the distance missing. So, some people do the opposite of going missing for months. Some even save time by a mysterious phenomenon.

I've never shared this before but here it goes. Mid 1990's I had to drive from Montgomery County MD to some place in Virginia. The first time, we were in my colleague's fancy sports car. We had to visit a participant of a 10 year long clinical study. Back then, we relied on a Rand McNally map combined with the study participant directions. We were on Rt. 66, took the right exit and my colleague said "look, an old fashioned gas station. She pulled over, walked inside to pay and ask for directions. It wasn't self-serve so, another man pumped the gas and we got on our way. Our directions didn't mention a fork on the road but there was one. We get there, the parents asked if we found the house easily, we replied "yes, the gas station attendant was very nice". They stopped smiling and said "there's no gas station nearby. The appointment was rescheduled and we left the same way we arrived... I still get chills remembering how we looked at each other when we saw that there was no gas station but somehow the gas in her car's tank was real?..... I think of it as being in the twilight zone.

WAIT, I LIVE in Montgomery County and I've seen some things that I've never seen before and they're gone the next time I'm in the area I saw it in, like there was a time where me and my Grandpa were going to Pennsylvania for a day and we saw a what seemed small house that was selling food like cinnamon donut holes, eggs, vegetables and other basic things you'd need or want to buy for a snack on the road. Then on the way back -We were coming back the same way- and didn't see it was there and we were both so confused cause although it wasn't there we still had items and a receipt to prove we've been there.

I was lost in the Appalachian mountains for what I was told was a month. All I remember heading up to blood mountain was walking the path and stopping off to the side “on the ascent up, base of the mountain” and resting for what seemed like an hour. It got dark really fast and I felt like time went by so quickly I had to make it to the summit because during that time I went it was very cold at night and I wanted to stay in the shelter. I started hiking up and I got really sick, like couldn’t control my vomit sick. So I pulled off again and I guess fell asleep. Woke up and it was still dark. Pitch black, I couldn’t see anything but I was not in the same place I fell asleep. I got up and turned on my flashlight and I was in snow, a lot of it. All around was thick forest which if you know the bottom of blood mountain you know it’s just very rocky and the path up is thin so me ending up in a forested clearing in snow was odd. I walked around and was very unfamiliar with my surroundings except in the back of my head something kept screaming at me that this looked familiar. I eventually pulled out my phone and looked. I somehow ended up back at the start of the Appalachian trail in GA!! Hundreds of miles away! I quickly called my family who was waiting for me at the town past blood mountain to pick me up. They were shocked since they already called the police. I looked down at my phone and it was a month since I got too bloodmountain. They said they found no sign of me and had dogs and even asked every hiker they could and had 4 trail wardens going constantly back and forth on the trail looking for me. I checked in at the station and when I did they asked me a bunch of questions. I had no answers I explained everything and they were speechless. My family drove and picked me up and I’ve never gone back since.

There are a lot of comments on this video and it was posted more than 2 years ago. Your comment was made only 6 months ago. Most engagement on videos happen within the first few days of it being posted. So your chance for visibility dramatically decreases. You also have to be mindful that only 10-20 % of people or less even comment or like a video anyway. Also, even if they scroll down and actually read your comment they may not be compelled to respond or like it. Most people that are watching these older Mr Ballen videos are binge watching and not commenting AT ALL. It's only super curious cats like me that are searching for comments and looking for stories like yours because I was so intrigued. (Your comment isn't at the top of the feed either, I had to scroll a bit) Soooo... I said all that to say this, I don't think you're shadowbanned, it's more likely you're a victim of timing and circumstance. Don't take it personal. Fascinating story btw... ❤️

My father was in his pick up truck driving early in the morning with his buddy back in the day when Miami was full of woods around 1975 . So they were both alone and they were about 18 years old .And all he remembers is waking up looking at his gas peddle and brake pedal so he’s head down under his dash board and feeling as if he was falling. So he freaked out and pushed up and looked out his windshield and seen that he’s high up in the air looking out as if he’s on top of a mountain. He could see the roads and small cars driving around and it’s nighttime now so he sees houses and lights to. His buddy starts to scream and he’s yelling as well because they feel they are falling off a clif but in Florida there aren’t any. So they float down and it’s a soft landing and they both start screaming about what just happened to us what is going on!! They don’t understand what just happened. They both end up going to his buddies house because his parents were expecting them to arrive hours ago they pull up and try to explain what happened and the parents are dumb founded they don’t know what to believe. Because they are about 8 hours late. And this story they are telling them sounds insane. So After a few days my dad goes back to his buddies house to talk about what happened and his friends parents wouldn’t let him speak to him because his friend wasn’t mentally stable he isn’t taking what happened to them well. So they told my dad idk what happened with you two but you better stay away from our boy he’s going through a lot now because of what happened. Ever since that day my dad says he really thinks he was abducted by aliens and that his friend suffered a lot from it never got to speak to him ever again. His parents tried to protect him from the town thinking he’s crazy. All I can say is as a kid I use to hear my dad have nightmares and he would say don’t touch me leave me alone and it would scare me so bad to where I started to believe he really seen something and just doesn’t remember it. I hope I wrote it detail enough for y’all just wanted to share my dads story hope you enjoyed it.

thanks for sharing!! in my opinion men in black to me seemed kind of like what really goes on, different people get abducted and like your pop's they dont have any memory of what happen, so i truly think i mean you would have more knowledge than myself, but there is a door under water and because of the water pressure they can not open it, we all spend our time looking up to hopefully catch a UFO and be able to sell your story thru the media and books. I truly believe aliens are living under water or under ground there are places under ground where people hear a lot of commotion. This one guy told a story about how he had got it in with a beautiful alien he said she was gorgeous and had a really nice figure, that when they had got it in it was the closest thing to heaven on earth, but he didnt remember what happen til a few weeks later, he said he was abducted and these aliens come in peace and they showed him around their UFO and he said it was beautiful like an underwater palace, and every person who claims to be abducted they can not remember what happen it will take a couple to recall what happen, and just like men in black they have those flashing things to erase their memory for a day week month and year, so he asked why wont you aliens come to earth to live among the human civilization and the alien who was in charge i guess, told him that humans are unpredictable, if if a human was to murder an alien the alien are so advanced they can wipe out an entire state within minuets, so to prevent something like that to happen they keep us separated

Once my dad came home and couldn’t recall any of our names, our phone number and didn’t know what happened or many details of his life. He just woke up on the hood of his car and drove until he pulled into our driveway because it felt right . A few weeks later he came across a buddy who asked if he was doing ok after how hard he’d hit his head during a game of basketball. It was scary but he eventually regained his general memory but never remembered actually hitting his head. I have to wonder if any of the people in these stories suffered similar head injuries.

Very likely. I had something similar, but not as extreme, happen a day after a concussion. I had an appointment, when I got out of it, I called my daughter to ask if she wanted anything from the store, bc I was stopping there before coming home. She started laughing and said: "Seriously, mom? You realize you just called and asked me this same thing a minute ago?

Can't say I've taken a blow to the head hard enough to cause any memory loss, but when I first started out driving, I was on my way to school one morning. We lived on a gravel road about 15 miles away from the town I grew up in and they had just laid fresh gravel a day or 2 prior. I was running late, as I usually left the house around 7, but that day I didn't leave until around 7:15ish and had to be at the football field for band practice by 7:30 (I was running late cuz I got into a fight with my grandfather that morning.). Ended up speeding down this gravel road at 80mph and lost control of my car due to a loose patch of gravel. Ran headfirst into a tree in the ditch at about 70-75 mph and had a pair of jumper cables smack into the back of my head. There was no serious injury, but for the next 8-10 yrs, I believed I had become possessed or had woken something that had already been in me since I was around 6 or 7 (my mom, when I was living with her at the time, was dating a guy who was deep into the occult. Like this guy used to sprinkle dragon's blood incense around the house to ward off bad dreams and the like. And one night, they busted out an Ouija board and I used it with them, not knowing the dangers that can come from this.). This belief was solidified in the fact that after my wreck, I would hear voices that were not coming from the outside world, my dreams became more lucid until I eventually stopped dreaming in general, and I would suffer from occasional blackouts that would happen out of the blue. I was still me, but I felt like I wasn't the only being in my own body.

Holy SHIT. What a story! How are you all doing now? Did he ever regain any sense of memory of the basketball game itself or the moments leading up to it? It's crazy how we can completely lose memory of something so traumatic. I've always wondered if that's a physical thing or a psychological thing. Kind of reminds me of Jessica Boynton, who was shot by her cop husband, in the head. He staged it to be a suicide. How she didn't die is just a miracle. The body cam footage of her twitching is something I wish I never saw. She has absolutely no memory of that night but she knows she wouldn't have tried to kill herself. I have many times imagined what it would be like to suffer from a catastrophic injury and to wake up in the hospital with absolutely no idea what happened. It's one of my greatest fears. I pray he is doing better these days ❤
@blainegreiner6454
@blainegreiner6454 2 жыл бұрын
@@Ena48145 I theorize it's a mix of both. If enough physical injury is caused to the portion of our brain that houses our memories, it can cause memory loss. However, there are times where the physical trauma isn't enough to cause any form of memory loss, but the psychological trauma that our minds were forced to endure during said time could cause memory loss of said event, this is usually done to help prevent our minds from completely degrading to the point to where we completely lose ourselves.

In the Philippines, we have a belief of "engkatos", they're kind of like spirits who lives in trees. There's a lot of stories about people being taken by them. Personally, I know a friend whose aunt was courted for several days by what she described was a very dashing young man. every night her aunt claimed that the young man would come in a car and she would talk to him from her balcony window. My friend's grandmother would check and there would be no one there, but every single time there would be a strong sent of Ylang ylang in the Aunt's room. One night, her aunt said that the young man's parent would be coming to their house for a formal courtship visit and she basically entertained invisible guest, but during this time, the whole house was absolutely filled with the Ylang Ylang scent. The Aunt was also gone for a few days, and she claimed that she went to his house and it was the most gorgeous house she's ever seen and she was offered a grand feast. Absolutely horrified, my friend's grandmother went to a local healer who said that a young engkato who lived in an Ylang ylang tree had fallen in love with the aunt and he was really close to taking her. Apparently, the nightly visit was akin to a ritual to take her. You can say that aunt may just be imagining things, if you don't take into account the gifts that the engkato was giving her. They were very precious and rare gifts that people could physically see. I forgot what they were, but I think they were gold ores, rare flowers, and precious crystals I think.

Story 3 made me suspect the fair folk, and then I clicked on that the story took place in either Scotland, Wales or Ireland and it confirmed my suspicions. In the Celtic lands, the fairies are fully believed in, even to this day, and theres hundreds of stories of people having weird encounters with them- and theres a few common themes that i found in this story that are found in other stories. The mysterious drumming, the different beautiful scenery in a place where he knew so well and the the fact the man was very charming and seemed normal and he kept comfortable enough or 'compelled'. They also have a different timeframe from us, so the one day in their time is actually three days for us. The fair folk aren't always small with wings, they can look just like us but they're said to be beautiful, handsome people with an enchanting presence and they dont always mean harm. They have taken young pretty girls away before just for a dance and then take her back, or if they want, they keep her.

Nothing is proven in the story other than a documentation of a child missing for three days. The documentation is dubious at best since the location is not even known. Use critical thinking skill and don't gobble this type of thing up as fact when there is nothing to corroborate it as anything more than a vivid dream, if it even happened at all.

@@jamiebraswell5520 I mean, I’m just saying that this story sounds like what I above mentioned, I never said oh yes this is 100% pure facts, just something fun to think about IF this were a true case which it just could well be.
