Literally haven't spoken to one of my sisters in 10 years. Last I heard she had a kid and last she heard about me I was in the hospital with sepsis getting emergency surgery... She never gave a shit or tried getting in touch with me, I wasn't surprised and was relieved she didn't start her shit while I was sick actually. Fast-forward 4 years and after the sepsis I learned I have a progressive systematic autoimmune disease and have pretty severe system failures of other bodily systems and organs and have a feeding tube now thanks to gastric failure and know she will not know or care knew my time comes. Can't really say I'd care too much about her either though after the shit she has done to our family but yeah, makes me really appreciate people like Bob and his amazing love and spirit. The world needs more people like him and less hate and anger. I wish we all could just find more peace.

Before the 2004 tsunami struck Thailand, beach goers remembered seeing the birds leaving the trees and not returning. The chirping stopped. In the aftermath of the tsunami, rescuers didn’t find deceased wild animals. Upon further investigation, they did find them atop the mountains surrounding the beach. They theorized that the birds and other creatures somehow sensed the impending disaster and moved further inland and up into higher trees on the sides of the mountains. They survived. The people below did not. That’s when I first learned it’s very important to be aware of the wildlife around you. If they’re hunkering down and not going about their normal activities and aren’t making noise, then something is wrong. Also, learn to read the sky and the clouds. They can predict bad weather before it strikes. Also, your dog can sense a LOT more than you, trust your dog. And trust your gut. Trust your goosebumps and trust that "feeling" you get when you know something/someone is wrong/watching you. Listen to nature and listen to your dog.

I always listen to my dog. When we go anywhere, or do anything; and my dog wants to turn back, gets scared; or warns me about anything, I never question him. I do as he says. Always. Dogs sense things I cannot understand, but I do understand his warnings, and I never force him to press on, go if he doesn’t want to go. Or go without him. Your dog will tell you what you need to know, without words.

Great theory! In fact, I don't think it's "just a theory." It's FACT and many of us treat our furry friends with disrespect. Besides not paying attention to their animal instinct, we breed them in all different ways, like cats & dogs for instance! I can't wait when "purebred" isn't a 'thing.' We as humans aren't purebred. Who cares? In fact, mutts are healthier and live longer lives.

@@aegontargaryen9322 He’s an absolute angel. He’s my first dog as an adult, and we do everything together! He’s a golden retriever, and he’s very smart and intuitive. We do a lot of walking/hiking. And I learned very quick to follow his lead, and how to read his body language.. and many times, seemingly out of nowhere; on a walk or hike. He has turned me around, or gotten to anxious to move on. One time, I remember it was perfect out, the weather was beautiful during our walk. And my dog; just sat down and refused to go any further. I couldn’t coax him on for anything. And I could tell, he wanted to go back. Back was the only way he would go. So, we went back. I didn’t question it. I try not to dwell on what would have happened if we went on, these stories make me wonder. I will always follow his lead. I know he’s keeping me safe. ❤️

True - dont go hiking alone period, regardless of how safe it seems. Also for anyone new to hiking - never go off trail and never go on a trail that you have not researched prior to your hike, especially close to dawn when you are tired and have limited time until darkness. And concerning food and water - always bring more than you need, especially in regions without many springs and lakes.

What people don't understand is when you're in the woods, you hear birds singing....some small animals making sounds, but as soon as all that stops like a deadstop, all you hear is the wind hitting through trees, that's a sign of a predator nearby lurking around somewhere.

I grew up in a rural area. When out in the woods and it goes quiet. Your danger sense goes off. Your senses are heightened and you watch and listen for anything. It is typically either another human, predator, or some animal that is not normally in the area. One time it turned out to be some stray cattle. I was actually relieved when it wasn't a bear or something. Other times it has been wild pigs. The boars are particularly dangerous even to humans.

Not going to lie. Sounds like ghost stories more than missing peoples. Ghosts especially bad ones have the power to teleport you or take you to their “upside down” world. That’s why for example people immediately go missing as soon as they’re walking in groups. No one hears them walking away because they quite literally vanish.

After reading, listening to, and watching many of these stories I am of the opinion that where these weird things occur and people go missing there must be a certain type of energy residue once the weird thing happens...like people disappearing. Otherwise, things would be normal and animals would be eating the leftover food and stuff. But they avoid that area like the plague. SO that's what I'm thinking. Maybe a portal opened up and the dog sensed it? Our eyes don't see into the entire light or darkness spectrum, and most of us can't sense when something bad is about to happen. But some people do have that extra ability. They're the ones to listen to along with your dog.

I remember almost 40 years ago myself and a friend went camping over night at a place down on a weir..it's like a creek with a spillway..at this weir there is an old convict road and an old cobb & co over night stay, this had long burnt down leaving only foundations..we camped below a built-up section of road below the foundations of the rest stop next to the water..my freind was an avid camper who 4×4 everywhere with his dog, an Australian blue heeler..his dog was about 5 years old and feared nothing..honestly you couldn't have had a more loyal or fearless companion..well that night, he started getting really spooked..he swam across the creek about 9.00 o'clock that night..got to the other side and started howling and barking at us..as if warning us about something..i mean he was freaked out..my mate Billy kept calling him and he would stop, only to start again 5 minutes later..we were in the middle of nowhere..eventually we had to pack upour gear and head back to our car, at 3/4 of a kilometre away..only after we'd got our gear to the car did he swim back across..a ran like a bloody train straight to the car..he satin the back and whimpered, until we got onto a tarred road..then he spun around and for the next hour just stared out the rear window, occasionally growling..never went back there.

Some nights those woods are so animated it seems to be a roaring sound. Night birds, coyotes, foxes, insects all add to the cacophony. Then every so often there ISS a night when you can hear a single drop of water. No animal noise whatsoever. It is really weird. My livestock guardian dogs even are quiet. Those nights, I lock my doors and windows which is unusual and light up the house, close the blinds, pull the drapes and hope I don't get called in for an emergency (X-Ray tech at the county hospital) as there is no way I am going out the door.

I believe there are portals that people stumble into - especially at night. I, along with a friend, saw one on a trail we had hiked hundreds of times before. That portal looked like shimmering water but it did not reach the ground, it was literally a foot above the ground. So, what’s there in daylight is there in the dark. We approached it slowly - first slipping our hands inside the shimmering. Nothing happened and we decided to enter to see what it was. We strode through arm in arm and when fully through it, nothing appeared familiar to us. It was as if we had walked into a totally different trail. We were spooked and tried to turn around and walk back through but it was useless. We could not make it through until we tried it arm in arm as we did when we went through initially. Suddenly we were back on the familiar trail. Turning around to look at the shimmering wall - it was totally gone. We reported what we had experienced to a cousin of mine who was Park Superintendent. We took him and another ranger to the area where we first encountered it. Still gone. They closed the trail to conduct an investigation. The year was 1971. After a number of years went by, and I asked this cousin of mine why he seemed to believe us, and his reply, “your report was but one out of 20 or more reports from other hikers repotting the very same thing.” We never hiked that trail again.

Dogs, especially smart mature dogs, have an incredible sense of what's around them. I grew up in the sticks, and my dog could hear my dad's car from miles away because he would always know when he was coming home about 3 minutes prior to his arrival. There were plenty of other cars driving in the area so not only did he hear the car from miles away, he could distinguish the engine tones. A good dog is a sentinel, and when I'm feeling creeped out from listening to mr. ballen and I'm alone in the woods, I know that im safe cos I know my little sentinel is with me.

We got to our truck and higher ground just in time after i insisted we turn back. 3. We never knew why I had the feeling but it felt like something hated us being being there and we were in danger. Every man i know who has spent a significant amount of time in the woods can say the same. I’ve never seen anything. But I know what a bear sounds like, I know what all manner of dying animals in Alaska sounds like, and this ain’t that. It’s unnatural, and always followed by a feeling of dread and fear. All animals respond to its presence the same. These things are no joke man.

It is completely unique in its decibel level (as loud or louder than a rifle being fired) but prolonged for a length of time that seems illogical. That dog would have a hard time running down the driveway :-O Some of the 411 disappearances are truly baffling, but some underestimate people's ability to cover huge distances when desperate. One kid that went missing in the scenario of "he was right here and I turned around and he was gone" was a 4 years old little boy dressed in a light jacket. People searched and searched for the kid over a wide area, wider than what anyone thought it would be possible for a 4 year old to cover. The weather was in the freezing temps overnight. He was "accidentally" found 2 days later by a farmer when he came across the barely conscious little boy in one of his fields many miles away. That episode had a happy ending. The kid said that he got lost and was trying to get home.

But, the last guy was an experienced hiker, who hiked thousands of miles. He knew that. He knew not to wander off of a trail. He would have known to stay on the trail. And, that’s what he said he was going to do. Head up the trail a ways, and come back. Hell, maybe he just needed to relieve himself for all we know. But someone, who is such an avid hiker, with thousands of miles under his belt, isn’t just going to wander off of a trail, get lost and not know what to do. He was no longer on that mountain, and that’s not really explainable by getting lost in the woods, right off trail. It doesn’t add up.

I'm 61 now but back when I was maybe 12 or 13 my older brother and brother-in-law and I walked down behind the trailer park where they lived and went camping in the middle of a cold wintery night. Call us bold or call us stupid but we always had a lot of fun back in those days. My older brother had given me a small knife that he used to trim rubber parts at his work and I carried that thing in my coat pocket that night. In the dark we could still see the dirt bike trails under the light of the moon so it wasn't all that bad. One of them had the only flashlight between us and I was always in the rear as my legs were shorter and they walked pretty fast. I had a hard time keeping up. Well, we got to the top of a ridge that the kids on dirt bikes liked to ride up and made our campsite there. It consisted of just a lean-to made out of old branches and leaves that lay on the ground. I had gotten the roll of duct tape form one of them and tied my little knife onto a long stick so I'd have a spear to fight with in the event of a bear or some other predator coming upon us. About the time I finished taping that knife to the stick my brothers told me they were going back to the trailer to get some food, and they wanted me to stay there. I had brought along a thin blue blanket and that was all I had to wrap up in for the night. I think it belonged to my sister. Although I was scared and I fully expected them to pull pranks on me like they always did I stayed under that lean-to by myself for several hours. During that time I heard something bipedally walking around behind the lean-to. It was loud. WHomever or whatever was walking around back there was tramping through the dead leaves and making quite a bit of noise. That lasted a good while. I was really scared so I honestly don't know how long I heard the walking around behind me. Then, it got quiet again. Wrapped up in that single blanket clutching that spear for dear life I lay there needing to relieve myself but I didn't dare leave the confines of my little home until they got back! After a while I could hear other animals walking around so I figured all was safe. SO I got up and relieved myself. A short while later my brother and brother-in-law could be heard coming down the trail and I felt safe once again. But during that time alone up there on that ridge I recall hearing what sounded like someone chopping wood, and I thought it was really odd since it was only 3ish AM. But I brushed it off. Then, about 2 years ago I read a story from another guy who lived in my home town who had a similar experience. He had been hiking through the woods alone as a youngster and he went a bit too far and got lost. Back then this area was all woods. There weren't houses everywhere like there are now. SOmehow, the young man got turned around again and found a road that he was familiar with and walked home. As he walked he heard what sounded like someone chopping wood. But there weren't any houses around! He also said that he heard what sounded like heavy foot steps walking along with his stride justy beyond his vision along the woodline and he thought that was what "guided" him home. While both of our stories may not hold any significance to this 411 stuff, it is worth noting because Sasquatches are said to make those wood knocking noises and to follow people (especially youngsters) through the woods. All I know is that I was thoroughly creeped out at hearing someone or something walking bipedally around my campsite that night!

I’m glad I stayed in my tent one night while backpacking alone in western central Maine. I awoke to what sounded like an excavator clearing the forest. I could hear small trees snapping all at once, until whatever it was came to a stop around 20 feet from my tent. I was petrified and didn’t move or make a sound. As I listened more, I could finely hear a sound I understood. It sounded like leaves being ripped from branches, as a moose would do. I didn’t leave my tent to confirm, but I’m fairly certain a huge bull moose ran through the woods by my tent spot and had a midnight snack within ear shot. I was still afraid he would step on my tent, accidentally or not, but I eventually fell back asleep. The next morning, I investigated the area, and sure enough, something huge had cleared its own path through the young trees. Must have been a huge beast. I’m I didn’t walk up on him on trail, and I’m glad he left me alone. I’ve tented alone a hundred times since then, and that scary night always comes to mind. The woods are scary at night, even in a benign way.

I was camping with my late husband in Chobe, Botswana. It was in the height of a drought and we were in a rooftop tent ⛺️ on our vehicle. A loan elephant bull wandered up to our vehicle, brushed against it and then proceeded to rip the bark from a tree very close to our vehicle. It was midnight. I peered out the small window and looked straight into the eye of the bull. Luckily he was not grumpy from being hungry....

I mean there are a lot of people living on the margins in cities and suburbs (homeless, itinerant, etc). MORE than a decade ago I was looking at MOVEMENT patterns across our nation connected to 1. road closures, bridge closures, and similar that were ALWAYS connected to being very near the following 1. National forests, 2 Closed or abandoned or active air landing spaces, ports, rail road paths. The closures were very vague and excluding of details that normal causes of such would give. I used google earth search to follow the path of those closures, and would always find one of the above. THEN there was closures of national parks. AS a war veteran and military it made me think of the covert ways military uses to convoy, move, or transfer when they don't want to be detected. SO I just thought well maybe the military is setting up secret bases in the forests or places they just don't want public to know about for whatever reason. Strangely when I did video about it on my channel, showing the google earth search showing a road closure and then followed the path, my account was hacked and the video deleted. I never made one again. AREA 51 shows the efforts our military will go to have secret locations. If they want to build more places like that they will do so in way to never let the public know. NOT saying that is connected to this case, but feds monitoring could be looking for terrorists cells, or monitoring what people find. Whatever it is I pray they find who is taking these people or causing such disappearances. I think claiming it is some bigfoot is a red herring.

The alarming part is that in the first two stories the animals wouldn't go scavage either camp sights and in the third story, the dog was so afraid that it acted out of character. It's usually indicative that a rather large predator is around. Something that the dog sensed and was afraid of. Something was out there that they couldn't see and it took all three of those campers. It left its scent on the first two campsites and that alone scared the animals so much they refused to go near it.

Obviously, we can't see in the night time and we don't have control and it means we are in danger and in the wild uncontrollable to us environment. Usually, in the summer I spend day-time alone in the forest and I have these feelings as if I'm not alone, I look around and see nothing. I think our mind plays with us and it tries to save and to scare us before something really bad happens. Im sure for 100%, the only danger for a human in the forest 1. Another human 2. Animals. I listened to the sounds of something that resembled tearing cloth and crunching sounds for over an hour I woke up late the next morning and expected to find my campsite demolished But not a single item was moved from how I left it Even a half pot of soup was sitting there on the table untouched Oddly - I had been camping there for over a week and never saw any wildlife not even a bluejay or a crow or a skunk I think it was a good choice to stay in my tent

Bob searched the entire mountain for a year, but whatever got Steve didn't get Bob. He searched every inch of the mountain and yet, nothing befell him. Curious. Even hikers and campers who go into these areas armed to the teeth frequently go missing. So taking a .44 Magnum revolver, while highly advisable, isn't enough to guarantee one's safety. Whatever gets these people, gets them even though they're armed.

Bob out on that mountain day after day, intentionally covering the entire surface, just incredible, really. Such love and devotion, and dedication. It must've been heartbreaking for him to have come across someone else's remains. But I am glad that person's family got some relief and answers, though possibly more questions, too. The dog refusing to leave the tent, when its normal behavior was to be with its owner always, that really says something. And the wild animals not touching the food in the empty tents is also just strange. And how about two of the tents having the center support missing or broken? All of this is just so strange. Thanks, MrBallen. You're so good at this.

@Ken Fullman My parent's taught me from a very young age: There is ALWAYS someone else in the woods, even if you don't see them. Nowadays the only thing that really scares me is exactly that, when I'm in the woods totally "alone" I always feel like I'm being watched. Doesn't matter if it's before sunrise when I'm going hunting or in broad daylight. And being a hunter, I know how hard it is to see something or someone that doesn't want to be seen. That's the reason fluorescent orange is so important, it's damn near impossible to see someone wearing camo even if they're standing in the center of a trail not making any attempt to hide

I say homicide. It's easy to club someone in the head when they can't see you outside the tent. It would explain the top strut broken on 2 of the tents too. Unless the rangers knew exactly what and how much they took in, they really don't know how much was actually missing. If you were a serial killer, state parks are pretty decent hunting grounds. People go missing every day.

This is the truth. A woman's instinct is scary good. My wife has saved us from all sorts of bad luck, and at this point in my life, when she tells me she's got a bad feeling about something, we just stay home and don't do it, and i swear to god, 98% of the time, it's for a reason: the weather gets real, real bad; a log falls on our in-laws car out in the middle of nowhere in the UP and they're stranded up there for a week; we find out the day later that the convenience store she didn't want to go in after shopping got robbed exactly when we would have been in there. Woman's intuition is real guys and you're fools to ignore it. It's like a super power they have it's some kind of Spidey sense i don't understand it but it's real and you're making a stupid gamble when you write it off.

Even as someone who works in a national preserve and whose daily routine involves walking average ~8-10 km radio tracking wildlife, I could never think of going out there without all the safety measures we're instructed to use (GPS, a live tracking device, an emergency beacon, radio and compass). Hearing these stories makes me even more aware of how important it is to NEVER get separated from your group/partner. I definitely do not have the iron confidence of more experienced hikers but I feel that that a little fear goes a long way keeping me and my crew safe. These places are so vast I'm not particularly surprised when a body is never found.

As the trail opens up to the foot of it you get a really eerie feeling, you move from a beautiful forest to a dead lake surrounded by cliff walls. The path narrows considerably along the side of the lake. One thing I've learned from binge watching these 411 casing. When you go looking for someone, think of the impossible. They probably left not in the right state of mind, or their state of mind changed, and nothing they do/did will make sense. If they are an accomplished hiker.... good luck. The search radius is going to be an extra mile every 2 hours, if not more... if it's a kid, make that a mile every 30 mins because somehow that kid's going to be 40 miles away and up a 1400-foot cliff.

I've wanted to get this off my chest...years ago at my work place in which I guard I had an experience I can't explain. I've tried to tell people, but its only made me isolated with colleagues, and friends who just think I'm telling a story for fun, and that I'm taking it too far by mentioning it to them from time to time..I look after a patch if land around 100mi in diameter on the blue ridge mountains to make sure people don't trespass onto this property. There's a ranger, and myself located out there, and I'm responsible for making rounds to keep it secure from the public. The area is littered with motion sensor trail cams, and thermal imaging cameras that scan the tree lines, and forest near the cabin I stay in. One night I went out to do my rounds make sure no one was camping there or hunting, and I pulled up to a deer stand I put up to check the tablet connected to the cameras, and noticed I had 5 motion alerts, mind you seeing that isn't a concern as the wildlife ranges from deer to black bear, even cougars. The way the camera system is set up it sends a ping to my tablet, and while not taking video, and saving it, it does let me go to the feed and view the most recent ping, and what mightve caused it, if I can catch it quick enough. I brought up the camera view, and saw what I thought was a person or at least a bear on its hind legs standing on the edge of a clearing about 2 miles away from where I was sitting while on the mountain looking down at around dusk. It really only looked like a person with black splotches of hair all over. I sat up with my thermal scope I used for my rifle to see exactly where it was headed since the most exciting thing I get to do is tell a random hiker or hunter to leave every so often. Standing up I noticed that whatever it was it was quite large for a bear making me think it was a person resting their arm on a tree a couple miles away down the mountain giving me a clear view, then another ping, and another looking down for a few moments to see which ones were tripped I saw it was heading up the mountain not in my direction, but towards the powerlines at the top since powerlines are barren of trees for safety, with the forest touching both sides. Seeing that I raised my scope again, and noticed whoever this was walked in a way that made a little uneasy, almost like they were able to see in the dark avoiding making to much noise while going up hill in dense forest, I had been watching for about 10 minutes just trying to figure out what was going on, when I received a ping to my radio from the ranger asking me if I was checking on sensors being tripped, because it was happening every few moments now, and it was an intelligent, and intentional pathing to the powerlines where you are not allowed to go through, especially not while trespassing into the guarded area I looked after. After watching for awhile longer my hair on the back of my neck stood up when I looked up from the tablet to find in just a moment they had made it through the clearing into the next patch of forest facing me. They had stopped going towards the path of power lines to heading towards my direction. I switched my view to the trail they were near, and saw the black and white imagine of heat I can only describe as a very tall thing that had a stride as if it was stretching its legs as far out as it could, while being conscious enough to not make a single noise. The sensors trip again, and it's now stopped in front of another camera standing there, and while I didn't notice at the time until after thinking about it over and over what I didn't know then was that it was watching me from its position very closly..my thinking behind this is what my actions leads too, and seeing their reaction to my movements..when I noticed they were headed towards me quite quickly, and had paused as if it saw me I jumped, and dropped the tablet onto the ground from about 10ft off the ground in this tree stand, panicked I switched to my phone, and check to see if I can get back into the system quickly as it was not a quiet mistake, and I didn't want them to know I was out there watching them..ping ping ping ping ping ping ping over, and over not from, but towards me as if the sensor trips were my own heart ringing in my ears, they had started to full sprint through the forest straight towards me, I pinged the ranger our sos, stumbled down almost falling completely to the ground rushing to my rifle, forgetting the scope in the stand rendering my vision useless dropping it, flipping the ATV into gear turning the lights on high, and realizing I can now from what I thought was miles away hear thumping, and cracks around me as if the entire mountain had become alive, and each tree was charging me as it echoed throughout the forest..I managed to turn around quickly checking my phone reassuring myself the pings being triggered were consistent with only 1 path of movements helping me pick out the trail I could safely speed down to safety, my ranger pings me again on the radio this time breaking silence to ask me if my alert required him bringing his rifle, not wanting to crash I ignored his question barely making it out in the first place, but seeing he was asking me while already holding it in his lap speeding down the trail I was heading down in his truck..once we met up a few moments later I picked up my rifle, and fired once into the air to allow the sound wave to reverberate throughout the bowl we were in between the mountains, and clearing seeing if that would at least stop whoever was charging down to us the ranger seeing me as panicked as I was went white as a ghost lifted his rifle that was equipped with nvs fired after a few seconds only to pause when we here the whole forest fall silent..taking my chance I pulled my rifle, and essentials off the atv into the truck, and we rushed to the cabin to see on the monitors what was going on..instead the moment I got through the door, and it was shut my legs went limp making me fall to the ground injuring myself since the armour I wear is heavy my tailbone had a hair line fracture, after another moment Pat, well ranger ran to the monitor looked not seeing anything looks back at me seeing my hand was bleeding, I looked down, and noticed when I had hurried down the ladder of the deer stand I had compound fractured my hand having the bones that connect my pink/ring finger snap through my skin. He ran to me berated me with questions that I can't remember now, just sitting on the floor as if I was the only one there, staring at the monitor seeing nothing but darkness in the mountain, a wave of relief, and emotion washed over me knowing they had not followed us to the cabin brought me to tears, a grown man armed with an AR platform, armour, and as good of kit anyone in the mountains could need to survive broke down into tears over whatever had happened. Only a few people know this happened to me, as the nature of my job is secretive, and I can only tell my wife, my parents, and brother, only telling friends I think would at worst think I was joking, at best think I over exaggerated or embellished...I just wish I saw them I wish I at least knew what happened, and why, I wish I had went back out regardless of my hand, I just want to know who it was, how is a person not afraid of two grown men firing rifles at them? What kind of confidence does it take to be in the middle of nowhere no one for miles in the forest, near a ranger cabin, and is able to do that

Strange thing is most mountain dogs (experienced outdoor animals) won't shy down from a Mountain Lion or Bear.... or another Human. For that dog to cower in the tent like that it had to be something they were hearing or smelling that really had them spooked. Very strange. It's like something snatches these people up and takes them away. For some reason a few are returned dazed and unaware of what happened. For most unfortunately they are just gone. The strange thing with the second case and the "knife"-theory: if you leave your tent with a knife in the middle of the night to confront a perceived danger (or even just to run away), you don't take the time and turn your back to said danger to bend low and close the zippers on your tent. The thoroughly closed tent doesn't fit to a nightly, stressful or in any way frantic scenario.

There isn't an ending to these real life happenings. Really wish there were because that means they were found. There are people missing all over the country, actually in every country in the world. EVERY national park in our country have many people missing that went into them and never came out. They wouldn't admit it for the longest time. Yosemite has the most people missing in a national park. There are also cases reported of missing truckers, but their rigs are usually found. Others as well. People go missing usually when they are alone.... or become detached from their group and they are momentarily isolated. Adults, kids, all ages, both sexes, all physical conditions. People with dogs sometimes go missing, too. Some of the dogs are found alive. Sometimes dead, sometimes the person & their dog are never found. Most of the time these people are never found. Or they find their remains a long time later in areas that has been searched multiple times. Sometimes they are found, usually dead, but every once in awhile they are found alive and they usually can't explain what happened to them. This has actually been going on for a LONG time. Cases reported from the 1800's even.... over the decades up to current. Upsetting, to say the very least. Watch "CanAm Missing 411" with David Paulides here on U-Tube for many more cases and reporting on these and other cases.

I think most ppl have the insight and gut instincts to know when the forrest goes silent there is danger nearby. It’s a common theme in shows and movies bc it’s a prevalent clue of danger irl. It also causes an ominous feeling. A trepidatious feeling to come over you. I experienced it once w my dad on a camping trip and he said “let’s go back” the moment it happened. We both stopped walking immediately bc it’s such an obvious change in the environment. It’s creepy. We never found out what it was & I’m glad. We just turned around without missing a step after that one second of pausing.

8:17 If you're giving a deer carcass a pillow and your lunch on the side of the road where you just hit it and then wander off and leave your car behind, you are either in the process of a psychotic break or you hit your head in the accident. Also, what witness watches that happen without stopping the guy and asking him if he's okay? Maybe they were freaked out by his weirdness, but at least call the police to report the accident and give them a heads up that a potentially injured or sick man is wandering around the wilderness. That whole scenario is bizarre.

That's pretty logical actually. I'm very sane and I walked all the way back to my house after a car accident on and came to my senses in front of my door. Though I knew better I just stood there freezing for over and hour..I could've gone in. I didn't seek help though I had my own phone..plus neighbors fairly close. They only found me because someone saw my car with a busted windshield where my head hit it off the road and came looking for me. I went to the hospital and had a concussion which I recovered from fairly quickly and easily. At first I'd try to say sentences and the words would be out of order..but no real issues. Imagine if I'd been on a strange highway or near a bluff or cave. Head injuries cause one to do illogical things. Many of these cases could be head injuries.

I got caught in a thunderstorm one time. I want 50-100 meters off the trail and set up camp in this bowl area to prevent myself from being seen, and all of my gear is camouflaged. You were NOT going to see my campsite. It was so wet, I couldn't even get a fire going, so there wasn't even that to see. Night fell, so I want to bed. All. Damn. Night.. I could clearly hear a bipedal creature that was at least the size of a large man just circling my camp. From the sounds of the footsteps, it couldn't have been more than 30 feet away or so at any given point. The other time, I got ran off my campsite by a large pack of coyotes. I had to abandon camp with nothing but my shotgun, and I got lost in the woods for hours before finally stumbling onto a road I know several miles from my truck. I made it to the truck and I waited out the night. Went back at daylight to retrieve my gear, and they tore up the area where I was at. I refuse to go solo camping any more
