Excellent work and teaching! The videos about forehand topspin helped my to find some weakness in my technique. I would like to suggest some videos about tactics after serve and positioning during rallies. Although there are plenty of content about technique in youtube, we can find almost nothing about advanced tactics.

Thank you for your kind words :) Yeah I agree with you on the tactic based ones and I will for sure provide some high level tactics / exercise drills for the future when I have more resources available :)

Good video. All critical steps to advance. Right now, I'm really working more on footwork (instead of "reaching" I want to "move!" more).

Awesome content mate. Thank you for your work. I just started out playing in 2021 and recently found your channel and you really help me understand the proper basics. Now it's just a matter of properly implementing your advice.

Amazing to hear that :) Thank you so much for your comment. I hope as a starter you do not go and buy some mad expensive "fast" racket, because table tennis is way more than just speed. Let me know if you have any future questions or want something directly filmed for you :)

@@dublintabletennisclub Will do! Thank you. I bought a racket for 25 Euro that serves me well. I thought that I can still upgrade as soon as I learn what I like and dislike in a racket.
@dublintabletennisclub3 жыл бұрын
Yeah that’s not bad thinking. Your next racket could still be a build one again, but higher level like the one I use (4 star or a 5 star that has a carbon blade) before you set up your own full set. 5 star racket that has carbon would serve you good for 1-2 years on your development easy and I would recommend that to my players :)

Your teaching technique is amazingly effective....no matter if it is for beginners or advanced, you lay it as if it is for 6 yr old. Kudos to you! It takes to be an observant teacher to teach what you observed. No many have the ability to convey the knowledge selflessly as you are. Thank you from NZ :)

Great information Please advise how to generate more spin when serving long and short What is the best way to ascertain the amount of spin on your services I cannot seem to do a backhand ghost service this I believe will assist in advancing spin capabilities on the backhand side Sharad Naran

Great question and not so easy to answer through comments. Summary is basically like this: The fastest difference is either flick out your wrist so you can get as much wrist action as possible to create the spin -and if you can add or use this - Have a big arm swing so you can create momentum. Holding the racket with a strong grip. When making contact make sure racket is gripped even tighter so then you can "handbrake" your arm and use a bit of wrist action to scoop extra spin. The fast braking with tight grip will create more spin. I hope that makes sense? This is for sure easier to shoot than write to explain!
@twenty4seven3682 жыл бұрын
Look at the quality of spin of those serves!
@dublintabletennisclub2 жыл бұрын
Thanks 😊 The key is the sharp brush contact with the wrist! How’s is this serving coming along for you?

Amazing vid! Could you please do a video explaining different types of rubbers and paddles suited for beginner to intermediate players?
@dublintabletennisclub3 жыл бұрын
Great suggestion! Do you need a beginner racket right now? We have that level rackets for sale in our eBay store :)
@modelo2983 жыл бұрын
@@dublintabletennisclub I need an intermediate racket, and most people recommend making your own instead of buying one pre-made.
@dublintabletennisclub3 жыл бұрын
It is true in bigger picture, but if you're getting your first proper racket AND are a player that is learning / coming back to sport then I would suggest to any that a build racket is better. It is build more for that purpose to learn / adapt and improve. A racket that is special made is for players who KNOW who you are in almost all areas. Like you know how you are with flick / serves / footwork etc etc. So look what and who you are as a player now :)

Great video! What is correct technique to transition the grip from serving position where you hold rubber with your fingers to grip the handle quickly to get in ready position? Thanks

Great question and I think I have actually answered it in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/l4rRoJKYfc-FoLc At the segment of the video "how to un-grip" so check it out and let me know if that answered or not :)

@@dublintabletennisclub Thank you, perfect. I will try it tomorrow. Once in a while I have problem with changing grip when ball comes back quick and I go for the third ball attack with unbalanced grip.
@dublintabletennisclub3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I feel you. It could come down to a few things like even watching your ball too long and or too slow to get back into the ready position so make sure you have a sharp re-set after the serve!
