I think some people need to justify how they spend their money. When I bought the dash I noticed there wasn't much of for instruction, probably because until recently the people buying these didn't really need it because they were used to working on high end cars and the price kept it out of the regular Joe's budget. Shortly after I got mine installed I noticed people asking questions and shading videos seemed like the most efficient way of sharing that knowledge.

this video was spot on perfect.. exactly the info i needed. although im setting up a dual mac valve config, but its basically the same other than the software config and a slightly different fitting setup. now for me to find out where to steal power from for my mac valves.. thinking the pink wire that turns my sniper on since i don't wanna run new wires through my deutsch bulkhead (if i even have any spares)..

Great video. I'm guessing that if you want raise your target boost, you need to adjust the Dome table to reflect the increase? If you have a 10psi spring, adding 8 to the dome should yield 18psi. If you want more, increase dome, correct?
@TrailerParkMotorsports4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. Yes, that is correct, however verify on the datalog because sometimes adding pressure on top of the dome doesn't always correspond to the pressure in the manifold. In your case, 8 pounds on top of the spring may come out to 20 pounds in the intake.

Hey man, just to make sure I got the wiring correct from the dome sensor to the power tap and input: Wire 1 goes to B Wire 2 goes to C Wire 3 goes to J1-A4 Pin and for the mac valve do I just wire the J1-B10 output to signal a conventional relay to power the mac valve? Or maybe just directly to the mac valve? Just confused by the solid state relay you have there. Thank you.
@TrailerParkMotorsports3 жыл бұрын
Yes, correct to all. You don't need the solid state relay, you could just run an ignition hot wire to the mac valve to give it power. In my case, the J1-B10 is the ground side of the circuit, how the ECU tells the valve to open and let pressure into the top of the waste gate. Since I have the Pro Dash, one of the screens is my switch panel, but that MSD SSR is overkill if that's all you're wanting to power from that relay. A regular Bosch 40 amp relay would work just fine. Thanks for watching.
@GamerBoy2ndSt3 жыл бұрын
Okay I am starting to understand it better but what is the difference between having a relay and directly wiring 12v switched to the mac valve? Why would you wire a relay? Thank you for explaining this, I just need to wire my boost solenoid and I can get started on tuning my 73 k10 6.0 ls twin turbo swap. =D
@TrailerParkMotorsports3 жыл бұрын
No difference, the valves don't draw much power. You could run it from a voltage source and put a $2 toggle switch in line and then to the valve.
@TrailerParkMotorsports3 жыл бұрын
The only reason I used the solid state relay is that I already had it and I could eliminate a switch on my old switch panel by using a virtual switch.

Great video man. i have sloppy harness for my e85 on my power tap. can i use something else for 5v reference or should i just tap into the sloppy harness. i love how you break shit down Barney style and make it very simple.
@TrailerParkMotorsports4 жыл бұрын
Glad you liked it. You can tap a few things onto the power tap with no issue. I'm also using the Sloppy flex/alt harness and have the dome pressure sensor on the same 5v source as the flex sensor.

@@3rdgenjose699 you could any pressure sensor you want. I just guessed when I bought it that the 50 psi one would work best for me.
