Also, get minimum 8 hours of sleep a night. I was on a roll of getting 4- 6 hours for a couple weeks each month and, hate to admit, my libido was destroyed. Back to 8 hours a night, hitting the gym and cutting down on snacks and heavy carbs and voila, back to normal.

Just to clarify; overtraining doesn’t occur in one workout session. Overtraining occurs in killing your muscles doing too many workout sessions in a week. So yeah, overtraining is not a factor of reps or sets. Its a factor of frequency. Give enough time for your muscles to rest and recover.

Everybody is different just listen to your body, Dorian Yates did 2 days on 1 day off 2 days on 2 days off for the weekend and that was juiced because he felt like anymore and he didnt recover, I’ve trained 17 years natural full on and thought I reached my full potential, training 6 days a week, each muscle group twice. Then I switched to dorians way and broke through all plateaus and realised for 14 year before I switched that I overtrained the whole time, I used to get central nervous system breakdowns the lot, simply couldn’t function some days after lifting, had to take pre workout an hour or two after training to keep focus
