Love your videos for the wisdom and the energy you bring to the table. Been playing at a 4.0 level for decades but i still need a refresher in my forehand every now and then. Your video helped me get back to solid technique and it showed on the court today

Thanks for the clear checkpoints and emphasis on feedback. Maybe this video is too advanced for me, but I don't understand how to have the racket aligned with hip pointing outwards, with tip up, and then be able to rotate shoulder inwards?

I have watched many of your videos Grant and after watching this one my forehand felt amazing and much more powerful. By aligning my racquet with my right hip and flexing my wrist to make the racquet tip pointing up and keeping my arm straight through the shot my forehand improved drastically. I thought that my forehand was pretty decent ; but, after I followed the checkpoints I was amazed at the speed and accuracy I had. Hitting off a ball machine I was able to hit cross court, middle and down the line time after time. Like I said before I watched many forehand videos on KZbin; but, this one was a game changer for me.

Can I achieve these checkpoints with an Eastern Grip? Or does my grip matters?

Grant, really enjoying all your vidoes. At 1:58, regarding the internal shoulder rotation (racquet at 45 degree), you said it promotes spin vs. having the shoulder externally rotated which allows for flat strokes. Do pros, and should amateurs use two different set ups (shoulder internally rotated vs. externally) depending on when they want a top spin vs. flat stroke? Or should we stick to the the one set up for both?

@Grant VanderHayden Hi would like to ask you or someone who understands, to explain one thing to me, I have been playing tennis professionally and I have been training it for two years, let's say I have been playing recreationally, I play with Babolat Pure Drive 315 g, I have been reading and watching about rackets for a long time and I'm thinking of switching to Head, because I'm missing that kind of control in the exchanges, and now I'm really undecided between Gravity pro or Speed pro,or some other racket? so I'm interested in the opinion of which racket might be better suited? please can i get an answer?
