I was thinking to give it a read but just as I started the audiobook I felt I nothing knew and all I know is just an illusion and his work is hard to grasp too so I wanted to know the basic fundamentals to start reading or listening his work.

I had the same problem, made no sense at first, but then I read “Maps of Meaning” by Jordan Peterson (has to get it used; it’s quite pricey) and things started fitting into place.

You can start with Man and his symbols or Memories Dreams Reflection, any of the 2 books would be a good start to enter and know Carl Jung Properly!

I would say Man And His Symbols is a pretty good book to start with, given that it was explicitly written for the non-specialist. There are some who also suggest Modern Man in Search of Soul, which unfortunately I haven´t read. Either of the two options seems quite apt for a good start.
