@Swirly Tunes 64 nah there was never salt stuck in my dreads because you shake up the sea salt and the water in a bottle so the sea salt just goes in the water and it looks like regualr watee

@@choppaboymon9685 Agreed. Back in MA, I was swimming in the Atlantic all the time when I first started my locks. The salt water locks you up quick and it treats any tender spots you might have on your scalp. I live in Denver now where there is no ocean and decided to lock my hair again. It's taken me 2 years for my hair to mature and break out of the awkward phase.

I just started my locking journey and last week i did the crochet method. My locs was VERY frizzy and LOTS of loose strands. I tried more crochet but wasnt good enough. So i bought a locking gel and the before and after is night and day! I used the crochet doing some touch ups as i was use thr locking gel and it worked pretty well. Now the frizz isn't 100% gone but looks alot less bummy than what it was before

Based on this video I want to try washing once a week and hopefully that will help my scalp produce some natural oil.

The first time I tried dreads was in 05, comb coil method with twist gel. FAIL! My hair unravels easily and curls right back up if I don't manipulate it. Parts of my hair doesn't even curl its just wavy and kind of straight. I gave up and went back to cornrows then eventually shaved all my hair off. 2 years later I discoverd the crochet hook method. It worked & I've had locs hella times since then. 😂 Always get bored around year 2. Currently working on a new set I think this time I'm going to stick with locs since I keep coming back to them.

If the rubbing your hair when you wash is the problem then just rinse it with cold water (you should use cold water when you wash it too) because the process of hair getting wet and drying locs up hair especially with cold water sense it makes hair contact while hot water makes expand.
