I love the parallel processing tip. I've sometimes made it instinctively, then stopped doing thinking that that was probably a wrong decision. Didnt know bout transient shapers tho. Awesome that you share your hard earned knowledge, man.
@NavieD3 жыл бұрын
Interesting that you stopped doing it. Did it help your beats?
@radiobe41793 жыл бұрын
@@NavieD It was a confidence thing. My mix process was very misguided, in some aspects, at the time I started doing it. So I blamed the idea of having parallel processing on the drums and stopped doing it. I will definitely be trying this out today. I always feel this way about the vids, by the way :P I make, like, 3 beats everytime I learn something from your channel, just to "make your techniques mine".

Hey Navie, love your videos, I've learned a lot from them and I feel that your videos have helped me to improve my music and sounds. I'm having an issue right now though where when I listen to my songs on my computer either through FL or in a media player, they sound fine; but when I play the same files in my car the hats come out sounding like lasers. If it was intentional I wouldn't mind, it does kind of sound cool. I don't want them to sound like lasers though. Do you have any thoughts on why this might be happening?
@tbrizOfficial3 жыл бұрын
Mixes sound different on different speaker systems. Try doing a mix then listen on laptop speakers, studio monitors, headphones, and your car. They will all sound a bit different because of the system. In your case, unless your car sound system is completely wrecked, you may have exposed an issue in your mix. It could be the level, EQ, or something else on your hats. Play around and figure out what it is and then going forward you'll have that learning experience to take with you going forward. Good luck 👍
@SFFireSoul3 жыл бұрын
@@tbrizOfficial Thanks for the advice. I play it through bluetooth to FM, and I'm pretty sure that's the main reason. If I turn the volume down from the phone it sounds normal. Anything in the orange though it starts chirping. I'll try playing with the EQ or something. Thanks again.
