I hear you about the time. Money comes and goes, but time just goes. When my mother got cancer, she told us, "Go while you can".

AMAZING!!! I couldn't agree more. I work a job that takes a toll on both mental and physical health. Lately, many of us that are inside of 6 years till retirement eligibility are discussing how "you can always make more money, but you cannot make more time." I am 4 years 5 months from eligibility. I plan to retire the day I can, for ALL of the reasons you stated. Mostly the part about getting older. I am realizing that I cannot walk as far as I could 5 years ago. My feet start to hurt more and more these days. I realize that my physical self is not what it was 5 years ago. Why waste time at work trying to earn 4% more, when I won't be able to experience things I want when I retire? Is $500 a month really going to give me a much "better" living. The answer is simply 'NO.' Enjoy what you can, while you can. Thank you for this video. All of your videos are such a pleasure to watch. This one, however, really hit home.

Just finished the video. Thanks guys. We don’t own a house right now - nor have a good means to retire and quit but this all gives me more ways to think about retiring early.

I enjoyed working, but retirement is even better. I've been retired for a little over four years. I'm earning more now than I earned while working because I'm averaging more than 20% annual returns on my savings. I'm able to buy original artwork by famous artists, I can play with my hobbies, and I can travel when I want to do so. I can also be as irresponsible as a teenager. Retirement can be a time for people to do whatever they wish. I'm very happy that Allie and Rob are doing what they enjoy, and I'm happy that I'm doing what I enjoy.

Great video! This theme is so relevant with us. Time is definitely our most important asset and I feel like we’re trying to get out there and see as much as we can, while we can.

I retired as soon as I qualified for Medicare health insurance. My company does not have an affordable plan for retirees. Anyhow, I am so glad I did. I am lucky however that I have a pension and collect Social Security. I also saved as much as I could in an IRA. I can now travel during the week and have no restrictions on my time - such a wonderful feeling. My job “owned” me. So, for those who can, do it! Like they mentioned, there are things you may not be able to do physically in your later years. 😁

Thank you guys for your honesty. Any tips for someone who is in their early 40s who wants to start a family but also travel

It can be done, the key is finding a monthly income that you can maintain while you travel.

Health insurance is a big factor for people who are not retiring before 65. Can you do a video about health insurance option before 65? I know you told us you have a crowd funded religion affiliated type of insurance . Besides this type of insurance, can you talk more about other options that are affordable. How do you justify using retirement fund that you are trying to save and buy health insurance before 65 though?

Yes, we recently switched to a more traditional model so we need to talk about that.

What is a good amount for a couple to save before retiring?

For us it comes down to how much income per month you can get instead of a lump sum.
