Shan Richardson It absolutely does! In fact when I left, my friend who was moving in was upset that I took it off. Just be careful with cutting. Use a wide cutting board and you’re fine. It’s easy to clean and doesn’t lift.

I did a lot of these things in my last apartment (mainly updating the kitchen/bathroom counters with marble contact paper and lining all the shelves/drawers) and when I was moving out the folks that were leasing after me loved all the upgrades I made. After I moved out the leasing company came in to clean and inspect the unit, and they ripped everything out and charged me about $500 for repairs. When the folks picked up their keys and showed up to move all their stuff, they were shocked that all the "upgrades" were gone and they were left with the standard 90s apartment decor. She called me and sounded like she was about in tears but there was nothing I could do at that point. Just something to consider for other renters out there looking to do the same!

MEGA TIP : you have thoroughly cleaned the grout lines back to white, to keep them that way, brush them with cleat nail polish at night this will give them 6-8 hours drying time) and say goodbye 👋 to repeating the cleaning process a few times per year !

Started watching and was impressed with the way you did the righthand side of the countertop so I gave it a LIKE. Watched some more; when you got to the sink and cut precisely around the metal corner I was like 'Oh she did that' and I went back to give it a like again- remembered that I already liked it once. lol. I also put contact paper on my kitchen countertops. The best tip I got was to spray window cleaner and using a squeegee to push it out before laying it down. so I was able to move it around to get it lined up right. I also used the peel and stick square flooring for my backsplash and they both look great.

heyyy, you can use a magic eraser on grout, works great. im a cleaner for B&B cleaning and me and my husband used them on a car dealership's grout and you would be amazed at how white they turned out. looked great. but you did great!❤

I believe she said that she used silicone caulking to help seal in the edges and I think that's a wise idea but also for the underside of the counter I would have used white quarter round to keep the edges from coming loose. But for this type of finish...you cannot put hot things on it. It will burn, discolor and melt. I did one a very long time ago and used glass with rubber nubs to preserve the countertop.

Your kitchen is the bomb! And The works does WORK!!! Omg! When I saw u using that I had to write something cause I thought I was the only one using that to clean, not just for toliets, but to clean tubs, and sinks. I never thought about using on my floors but I am now. I thought I was the only one and who knows about that little kept secret at the dollar store. OMG! I use that to clean my tubs and it gets it so white and clean as heck baby! Fyi...dont ever mix w bleach or ammonia. I tried to do a "Super Clean" and mixed all those together with The Works too, girl I almost kilt myself and my pets!!! You never want to mix The Works with bleach or ammonia!!! Girl those chemicals started smoking, I was like, "uh ole!"😳 what have I done!?? Whats happening? Girl I immeadiatly turned the cold water on and ran the shower on that and ran out the bathroom too because the smell WAS SOOO STRONG! You cant be in that bathroom or stand by it or you will die, u have to leave. I closed the door and went outside. I had to go outside bc the smell was WAY TO STRONG! Hey, just wanted to tell you and easier way to clean those grout lines. I did this last year. I have those hexagon white tiles in all my baths and I thought they had grey grout lines. I started using a baking soda and Dawn. It worked real good, but was a lot of scrubbing, bending over and kneeling. I’m 68, now the old bod can’t take a whole lot of this. I saw a you tube using toilet bowl cleaner, but same problem bending over etc. I decided to use my O cedar broom. Apply TB cleaner and work it in with the broom. Wait abt 10-15 minutes, mop rinsed and big old towels to wipe up the rest. ..Magic! Guess what? Those grout lines...white! I was amazed. So much easier.

Nice! Your kitchen would look nice with a stove cover and backsplash to compliment your work. There’s some great videos here and ways to do the backsplash with real tile and not the peel and stick. You can do the floor too and it looks flawless!

I may try and do a Before and After 2019 small kitchen Tour showing the contact paper I used it on my daughter's kitchen as the backsplash and countertop. I plan to also use it on a table creating it as a small island giving it a Water Fall Edge Island using that contact paper.

Becareful if u try this... If u cook alot..not a good idea.. Its easily to ruin..decoration purposes, its perfect💖💖...I did this years ago...water around sink started leaking under contact paper... But she did mentioned use some sealer...... Remember its paper... Nothing hot.. No cutting food around it..

Just found this video!! I love love love this!! I bought an older home that really needs some updating. These ideas are awesome and I can do this without having to but a table saw to cut everything. I’m planning on putting peel & stick flooring on my bathroom walls to get the shiplap look. I plan on using very small nails to ensure they stay exactly where I put them. I used a granite looking one in my apartment 9 years ago... that I ordered online lol...just have to stay on the men who sometimes don’t feel the need for a cutting board... but thankfully the granite look made cut marks hard to see.

Yes... it's water and oil proof. Just make sure you use a cutting board...
