I have been with Poshmark since 2017 and do pretty well on that platform and I am quite content there. My other two platforms are Mercari and Ebay. And I can't believe you brought this up as my sales on Mercari are not as good as they used to be and it seems I have to drop my prices big time on that platform to make sales, so I am thinking about dropping Mercari and going to Depop.

I think you should go for it. Mercari is going through an identity crisis at the moment and from what i've heard it's affection most of their sellers.

I've been a full time reseller since 2018 and my best month ever was actually this past July. My gross sales was $7500 (similar numbers to yours) on 2 platforms. I've also been listing every day (6-15 items per day) since May and been participating in Closet Clear Out every weekend. Congratulations on your sales!

Same about Mercari- I let them go and now w more focus and I agree 100% about the Poshmark going in and making aggressive offers to likers on older inventory is key for me-thank you for sharing always

this is my first time watching your channel and I'm glad I did. I HATE listing clothes!! I have always LOVED shoes and boots... they are my favorite to source, list and sell. I'm going to take the leap and only sell shoes and boots after I list my last batch of clothes. I think sourcing will be faster, listing will definitely be faster and hopefully selling will be more lucrative for me. Thx for the info and the push to make this change 😊😊

@SandraTheMomBoss I found a Tory Burch plaid skirt. I got really exited thinking that I can sell it for a good profit. I was only able to find only one comp for $13. How is that possible? It’s a Tory Burch. Should I not price mine around that comp? Seems way too low for that brand right?

@@evelynmaltez571 That is REALLY low for a Tory Burch. Was it a sold comp or is it listed but as an auction starting price? I have never sold Tory Burch anything for under $30. It's possible the person just wanted rid of it or maybe it's flawed?

Niching down is good. I've stopped selling a lot of hard goods especially the large stuff because the work for the shipping and storage didn't make sense for me.

Even if you don't niche down all the way to one category setting parameters on what you're willing to sell (only clothes, only shoes, no large items, etc.) is a great start.

There's so many moving pieces involved in running a reselling. Focusing on a small category makes all that a bit simplier. Once things are running really good you can add another category.

Demonias will always sell like that they are a very popular brand amongst the goth and alternative community and highly sought after. They have their own website but also stores like Dolls Kill sells they can be very expensive! Great find!!

I’ve been on Depop since January and just as I was going to quit I started seeing better sales. My best sales there are shoes and jackets. Mercari has not gotten better. I did start deleting and resisting all items once a month. That has helped on Mercari.

Great video! Have you tried buying the shoe boxes from ThredUp? I source through them as well (clothes, purses and shoes) and have always done really well with them. You never know what you are going to get but for the shoes, usually 2 pairs ends up paying for the box and there are 15 pairs per box.

I am a shoe seller and I don’t get a whole lot of returns but one that will always get me is mislabeling a shoe men’s or women’s. If you’re not sure make sure you try to figure it out before listing!

@@Shoeshinegirl I had a friend who was only dedicated to selling that type of shoes but she told people the problem was that the shoes had that defect, people bought them because they were shoes to go to war or work in construction so she sold them. cash only back then apps did not exist. I remember each pair of shoes was only $100 she sold them.

My kids help me. I source with my 12 year old son (most of the time). I list on List Perfectly and my 14 year old daughter crosslists to all platforms. My 16 year old ships and takes pictures. Sometimes I have to take up those jobs, but for the most part that's how it works. I could do all that alone and be just as successful If I didn't also do KZbin.
