Just got my set a few days ago. shooting a 62#@29" recurve cut 1/8 past center, so I needed a super stiff arrow to be able to shoot the amount of weight at the tip I want. Ended up going with 300 spine, 75 grain brass hit insert, 150 grain broadheads/field tips. Ended up at 31.25 inches and flying like darts bare shaft. The great thing about these arrows is how much you can customize them to fit your needs. A lot of people think that 5/16 carbon arrows have the most available components, but the axis arrows seem to be taking over. You can shoot lightweight aluminum inserts, 50, 75, or 100 grain brass hit inserts, and so on. Super adaptable arrow to fit your needs and like you said, they look pretty sweet. I put reflective yellow wraps and 3" shield cut yellow fletchings on and they look fantastic and are easy to see in flight.

I love how the German Jagers fly, they fly like field points for me with crazy penetration. I have the 100 grain though with 75 grain incerts. I'm shooting them with gold tip traditional classics at 400 spine cut to 30.25 inches. That was my receipe for perfect arrow flight without feathers. I put three inch straight fletched feathers and have perfect flight out of my bow which is 45# at my 28 inch draw. I bounce between 3 Rivers and Lancaster, two great companies

I agree with you on these arrows I've been trying to get the Beman white outs and I understand that Easton bought them out and these look pretty much identical so they're good chefs you will enjoy him but I would change the inserts I've been hearing bad reviews on that but the how do you hear that all the time best thing to do is testing yourself and bear shafton and you won't have any problem nice talking to you again drop me a line thank you

Hey mick, love your videos . Mainly for the excitement factor! Reminds me of me! So I have a “tip” I had my 400 spine flying weak @30.25 inches with 175 grain up front( 50 grain insert, 125 point) Added an arrow wrap to stiffen it a little and worked a treat. Also if you four fletch with those 2 inch it’ll stiffen it some more and if you four fletch with 3 inch feathers (without wrap) that might just nail it....! However as you said, just going of vision provided... might need some testing Love ya work, from da 🇦🇺

Great advice! I’m going to put some 5 inch feathers on and see how that does. I dropped the poundage of my bow to 45 and it corrected things but I want to get to around 50. New spines arrows I think are the only option .. maybe?

Oooooo! Didn't know they made white shafts! I tried the small feathers on the last batch I made, and really don't like them for aesthetic reasons. They fly fine, I just don't like the look, so I'll go back to the 4 inch feathers next time. Yours REALLY look sharp though; love the color!!

Here’s a thought, that I’m yet to test. But does the spine of an arrow get affected by temperatures? Example would a softer spine shaft become stiffer when hunting in ‘minus’ temperatures or does a stiff arrow soften from extremely hot weather. Again just a thought. Beauty arrows you got there sir, they must be great arrows for video work.

I'd advise not to go with wood arrows. I've been shooting since last March and I had the same mindset as you by shooting wood. Wood is not consistent and you have to do way too much and have knowledge to make sure they all fly similar. Once I went to carbon, my grouping shrunk overnight. I love the look and feel of wood but I'd rather be accurate and consistent in my shooting. I'm finally seeing real improvements after I went to carbon

@@r1sabotage you have to go through a lot of wood shafts to find a consistent set for your quiver, but nothing tunes out of a bow better than wood arrows.

I went to 3 Rivers website to look at them... they’re a little pricey, but they come pre-fletched and save a little work. They look really nice. I may give them a try! Always looking for something new to try! Any idea what company builds them?

@@ArcheryGeek yes, i thought your channel was huge for the objectivity and the image quality. Congratulations again man! The bow I was researching was this: pt.aliexpress.com/item/33058853897.html?spm=a2g0s.8937460.0.0.654d2e0eT2aRY0 I was also seeing this: pt.aliexpress.com/item/4001061202660.html?spm=a2g0s.8937460.0.0.5ef82e0e2VSSzI Which looks like an alternative version of black hunter with a different riser, but apparently the draw length @28" is too small for me ( I'm 1.82cm tall and a pull of approximately @29~30") so I think I'll buy the first bow link for security. Good feedback! I think I mention that they seem stiffer because of the coating, you are correct.. they are heavy too but I still really lobe the look of them and I’ve found them to be bulletproof.

@@ArcheryGeek I shouldn’t say they suck, you can get better inserts for them I just wasn’t a fan of how the half outserts bent on hard impacts and if I grouped to tight the white finish would easily damage which is more my fault I guess
