Nice. Hardest gravel skill that I've been working on is staying seated on those short, slippery climbs. You are killing it, good job.
@bullwinkle4285 жыл бұрын
Loved the "moonscape" that you guys hit along the ascent! Gravel riding gives you the distinct benefit of a near-guarantee that you won't get run down by a motor vehicle, so I've really started getting into it this season. Unfortunately, I've been doing it on my almost 20 y.o., 32 lb. beater of a MTB, which provides a perfect justification for purchasing a new gravel bike next spring!
@geoffreyanderson47195 жыл бұрын
You know that drop bars can go onto an MTB. You can put thinner kind of higher pressure tires on as well. So no, it's not justified to buy a new gravel bike.

Seems like riding a $5000+ "gravel" bike on back roads is the realm of the White-collar professional who sits behind a desk all day, also seems like most of these rides are set in scenic mountainous locales. Gravel roads here in Southern, SK- Canada aren't as charming a ride, not many would be crazy enough to try. Farmers who actually live down a real gravel road deal with trashing whatever vehicle they need to get around in.

The felt breed is what I have an it's great. But maybe the best in my opinion is the Canyon endurance. That's a bike you could race a crit on, swap wheels, and go do a MTB trail.
