Besides the great pop groups from Sweden - the biggest hits by American artists like Britney Spears, the Backstreet Boys, N‘Sync, Katy Perry… were written and produced by Swedish musician Max Martin. Think within Europe, Sweden even challenges the UK here. They have an ear for flawless pop tunes. Roxette were the best! Best wishes from Hamburg, Germany!

It's the same version. The location is Borgholm Castle located on Swedens second largest island Öland. The castle was grounded in the 1200s, more or less completed in late 1600s (lots of wars and demolition and rebuilding). In 1806 there was a big fire and it has been a ruin since then. Used for concerts and more. And... of course Sweden is perfect 😆🤔😘

​@@cswong71 It is still used for concerts every summer. I was there last summer. Not on a concert but just visiting the ruins. There had been a concert the night before so the stage was still there. It is a beatiful place!

Marie Fredriksson was an wonderful singer and interpreter. She was Swedish however her English pronunciation was excellent. You can understand every word she said and English isn't my first language... And I have to say Marie sang VERY GOOD in Spanish which is actually my first language. She only learned the phonetic of the lyrics in Spanish and she did a great job. An extraordinary artist in several languages.

The music video version of the song is actually a slight remix of the original, the "U.S. Remix". The studio version has the same vocals, but different musical arrangement. The video was recorded at the Borgholm Castle that is located on an island on the east coast of Sweden. The castle is a tourist attraction and can be visited. The castle is not in official use other than a tourist attraction. None of you mention how HOT Marie is on this video. Nobody could fill a mini skirt like her. Fantastic song......

The thing about having a long history like for instance several european countries and others is that during all those years there have been immigrants and influences from all around the world at different times. How do you think english and swedish are so similar? Why do we even have olive oil in Sweden? And where did all the pizza places come from? and now kebabpizza? And what's with all the german words in the swedish language oh wait something called the hanseatic league? Why are the swedish state church protestant? What's with all the thai restaurants here? You are right, some countries are newer than others. But a lot will in the end be very similar. At least if you strive to uphold the human rights, democracy and the worlds environment.
