a practical trick for timing the walk-cancel is focusing on the book the animation usually shows the book turning its pages when you attack so as soon as you see 2-3 pages turning you should already be tapping w and click i'm not a psychopath i swear

Here’s a tip for the *very useful* Yanfei dragonstrike tech: While it is still very hard to time it right, I found it helps to time it so you dash right as the CA hits the ground, so that the A4 hits as you’re already off the ground. It also helps to use Lost Prayer which buffs your movement speed by 10%.

Walk cancelling is something I discovered when playing Yanfei alot , You can do it in an NC3 and it might be hard but I'm pretty sure most Yanfei mains by now got used to it

Combos - it mostly depends on hydro appliers really. By Yanfei's kit itself, 2xNA+CA wins by being faster. But most important is doing reactions, what depends if it's Xingqiu or Yelan and whether Xingqiu is c6 or not. As for Ganyu - it will be great for short fight, if you can clear content in like not even the whole rotation or close to that... So for serious fights and Abyss - nope. It's mainly because of how reactions work in general. Forward reactions are stronger but are taking aura very fast, can be even said - whole aura at once. So after stronger first hit further dps will be worse. Yanfei pyro application is too fast and too strong. More interesting is going for electro. Either full overload or just adding Fischl to vaporize, in place of anemo unit.
