Jason is correct. I took the recurrent test on September 28 and it was very heavily weighted to airspace and understanding the sectional.

As always, you do a great job. No monotone just pure awesomeness. I take my Recurrent in November. I just received a Magic Air yesterday with a first flight today. Fantastic!

Thanks, just passed my Recurrent test today. Yes Airspace but a lot of operational stuff, and a question on registering a drone in two different countries. But definitely worth getting the Remotepilot101 course!!!!!

Yup, just passed mine. Definitely, mostly airspace, and operations.

Took it in January. Verify heavy on Charts. Charts was my weak point but managed to get about 85% right. I was use to getting 100% on the remote pilot 101 course practice exams in 20 minutes. Unfortunately, when taking the tests in Arizona, use old computers, physical charts, takes more time to complete the test and seems more difficult that way.

Thank you for the information! I am 17 trying to gain as much knowledge on aviation before going to get my PPL in order to (hopefully) minimize the amount of hours needed to become licensed. Your channel seems to be directed more towards the unmanned sector of aviation, but the information seems to be very similar (if not the same) as the information needed to obtain a license for manned aircraft. Thanks again for sharing!

Your goal is a good one. Don’t try to get your license in any type of time frame. Do the work. Flying a VOR is different than learning it in the class room.

Circle with x in middle is closed or abandoned runway paved or grass. I know of 2 paved closed runways in Florida. One near Clewiston and one west of I-95 in Melbourne, Florida. Check them out. Ad one more, Opa Locka West, paved runway abandoned.

Gliders use batteries to power their systems. The difference is we don't use an electric driven system. My glider for example has ADSB in (so I can see other traffic) and a very sophisticated navigation system. Some gliders even have transponders. Our radios are the same as in power aircraft. The main difference, because it's quiet we don't have to use headsets. Modern gliders are very sophisticated. No glider uses a fan system to power it's avianocs.

What does the T stand for as in T over 13 and also T over SFC in the Orlando, Sanford INTL Airport airspace ?
@MrTakeOne3 жыл бұрын
?
@Sportie32 жыл бұрын
T when used in airspace ceilings means Top, and is written to state that other special airspace exists above the ceiling of that airspace. Here, the class C airspace of Sanford exists below Orlando’s class B airspace which begins at 3,000 ft (around Sanford) and goes up to 10,000 ft. Thus, the class C ceiling shown by T is 3,000 ft, which is also the floor of class B airspace. As class B airspace requires permission to enter, the T ceiling designation is there to alert you to look at other airspace in the area.
@Sportie32 жыл бұрын
And as you probably know, SFC means surface, as in the floor of that airspace is at the surface (at ground level).

@@Sportie3 Hi Mr Sport. Apology for the long response time in replying to you. Was watching captmoonbeam videos. Thank you for your response. I think I get it now thanks to your reply. It makes sense and it is now clear to me. In that area class B starts at 3000 ft and up and class C goes down to 1300 ft (T over 13) or to the SFC (T over SFC). And yes I was aware that SFC meant surface. Thanks again. Ted

Just took ReCurrent test May 3; lot of symbols that I don't remember seeing on review videos, including the "the flag" in a lake and faded magenta line. Had to guess at it.

Did you pass
@robertkirkvideos49065 жыл бұрын
@@GoProMeetsAeon No missed passing by 4, and have to pay an additional $150 to retake. The Recurrent videos on Pilot 101 were so vague compared to what was on the test, very disappointed in the Remote videos. A lot of airport symbols like gray but solid gray not covered in the courses. Also a flag in the middle of the lake, not in the FAA handout or any symbol chart provided at the test site.

I concur as well that the test utilizes airspace maps extensively. I passed the UGR test on 24 Sept and there were also some concepts similar to the initial test dealing with Notams, reading headings and coordinates. It would be helpful to refresh all the training material.

It would be best to not talk about stuff you have no clue about, as having done so eroded credibility, the viewer left to ask “what can I trust from this guy?” Gliders typically have both radios and “avionics”; in the case of radios, the useful point of clarity would be common frequencies used.
