Ross Hauser, MD reviews the use of Prolotherapy for the 3 most common sequelae of hip instability that are seen in pain doctor's offices: snapping hip syndrome, hip impingement, and hip osteoarthritis. Did you know that surgery is not necessary for all of these hip problems, including when the labrum is torn? In our experience, Prolotherapy with or without Platelet Rich Plasma or Stem Cell therapy is a better non-surgical option to explore. For patients who have already had surgeries but are still having pain and disability, Prolotherapy can often provide pain relief as well. As always, we wish you all the best in health and healing!
The Hauser Neck Center & Caring Medical Florida are located in Fort Myers, Florida in the US. We treat patients who travel to our center from all around the globe, however, please understand that we do not treat all cases. If you are looking for our team to review your case and possibly see you in our center, you can contact us through www.caringmedi..., call us at 239-308-4773, or email info@caringmedical.com.

**DISCLAIMER: As with any medical treatment, no guarantees or claims of cures are made as to the extent of the response to treatment that every person experiences. Every therapy/treatment has patients who experience varying levels of success and failure. Results may not be the same from patient to patient, even with a similar diagnosis, as the body’s internal status is unique to each individual.

That's great information. Thank you Dr. Hauser. I've been watching your videos for awhile now. Very knowledgeable and inspirational for patients and therapists alike. I'm a manual therapist and because of your videos I'm encouraging my clients to consult with doctors who perform Prolotherapy, prp, stem cell therapies before deciding on surgery. I see a lot of people on the hyper mobile spectrum and you've convinced me that Prolotherapy and prp are important treatments for them to consider.

is prolotherapy/ prp the only treatments to stimulate ligament tightening. I’ve failed physio therapy but was wondering if there was another/maybe cheaper alternative?

I needed to hear this today. Going back for another consult for a labral tear but continue to have my pelvis get out of alignment were 1 leg get longer than the other until I go to the chiropractor & get adjusted. I have pain to the touch on my hip, pain in my left lower buttock & when it really bad I have pain in both hips but the tear is in my left hip. Do you have a clinic in CA? I dont want surgery but can't continue to have this every day pain. Thank you for your videos

I have hEDS, so I know that I have a lot of instability in joints all over my body. Snapping Hip Syndrome makes me think I might have that, HOWEVER, I assume that the hip snaps as its moved, correct? My hips don't do that. Instead, they get a stiff feeling, if I sit or stand too long and then I am able to pop them (kind of like cracking your neck). I stand feet together and balance on one foot, swinging the other leg backwards (sometimes leaning over slightly) and there is a loud auditable 'POP!" that releases the pressure, otherwise, it feels as if I can't walk without a 'catch' in that area. There isn't usually pain, but it's rather uncomfortable if I don't pop it. This is something both I and my Mother and children can all do. Does that sound like an instability issue? Would it be worth testing?

Thanks for sharing part of your story Angela. It is always better to get assessed as you can have a clear diagnosis. The thing with instability is it is degenerative meaning it happens over a period of time and only continues to worsen if nothing is done about it.

I have hEDS as well. I have a labral tear with snapping hip and FAI. Currently in PT because it became so painful! I'd get it checked out if it bothers you!

I can verify bike riding is great. At first it may be hard but it you do it an hour or so lightly every day, you'll begin to notice huge improvements.
