I fell hard for this man 7 years ago and while we were long distance, we clearly had feelings for each others and he was a Christian. Well, we were young (early 20's) and I guess things got complicated since we had our own lives going on so we agreed to cut ties. It was very painful and it took me a long time to get over him. I will admit that he would pop up in my mind once and awhile now, but I'd tell God to watch over him and that I do not want him become a distraction to me when I clearly need to move FORWARD, not backward. Do I miss him? Of course! He will always holds a special place in my heart, but I know I cannot let him be a idol or daydream in false hopes. If God wants us cross paths again then He will allow that to happens. If not, then, we will see each others in Heaven and be friends eternally when that day comes. Ladies and gents, you are not the only one struggle on letting someone go. I know that person can holds a special place in your heart, but do not let them replace God. God is the number one main focus you should pay attention to and I realized I've failed to do that in the past. Right now, I'm working on getting closer to God.

The thing is, do not live in the past too long and be eager to open up your heart to someone new. God knows you and the person you need. Right now, I am blown away by my boyfriend's personality and nature. He truly wears the crown compared to all of the other guys I've previously dated and treats me like I'm a rare gem. It is such a wonderful feeling! Do not settle for less or someone you're not strongly attached to, but do not lose hopes, and keep close with God. He will provide.

I prayed hard that one day we’d get back together and here we are! Best decision of my life! Thank you, Lord for bringing my soul mate back to me! I always thank him for that! There are many times that we hold on to people and things out of fear. We fear that if we let a person go, we may not find another one. Out of fear we end up holding onto things and people who are not good for us. May we learn to always trust in the Lord and learn to let go. If something or someone is not of God, then that thing or that person should not be in our lives. Learn to surrender and allow God's will to prevail. God has good plans for us, and when we are tightly holding onto what we should let go of, we may end up missing our blessings. We may not know what the future holds, but God does. When we know that God holds the future, and He knows what is best for us, then that makes it easy for us to let go of what we know we should let go of, and trust God to work out everything together for our good and for His glory.

So sorry for all you've been through. I've also been a victim of cold, mean and abusive guys. The reason they hurt us is because we hold onto them and cling to them like we would never survive a second without them. They see our "desperate cling" and because they're mean, they always take advantage of it to hurt us more because they believe regardless of what they do, we would never leave. When you brace up and leave them, you'll hurt (because you love them) and be lonely for some time but it'll all be worth it for your sanity, peace of mind, dignity and an incomparably better spouse. P:S- You have to permanently let him go and walk away to meet God's better choice.

Summer K Yes my ex was very much a believer in God. In fact, 2 months into our relationship he accepted the call to ministry and completed his trial sermons successfully and is on track to become licensed now. He broke up with me 🥺 because he had to move out of state due to the pandemic. He couldn’t handle the long distance and neither one of us was in love anyway. So we had to split. It hurts so bad! I’ve been very distracted. But when you know it’s not working, it is best to let go.

My ex gf and I broke up over long distance. We had a biblical and strong connection with a deep love for God. She contacted me a few months ago and we've been talking since. She said she doesn't want anyone else but me for a spouse. I know it sounds pretty odd, but I watched this video hoping to find a way to say "aha! It's not meant to be between me and this woman I met.", but upon watching it, I found that God is speaking alot through the interactions I have with her. And in the times between me and her speaking, he speaks waaaaay more. Constant little signals everywhere I go that I don't seek out. Even as I'm typing this, I can sense God's hand in all of it. I trust him so much more now with whatever the outcome is for me. Despite the fact that I argue with him constantly and I struggle with deep personal beliefs and doubts, he uses her as a way to speak to those things in a very good way. She doesnt wind up hurt and he teaches me at the same time. I think the funniest part is that after several months, we aren't exclusive. There isn't any labels and there isn't sex. But the attraction is definitely there. We're kind to each and she really has a way of being consistent without being clingy. A constant encouragement on my path and truly a great person! I honestly can't wait to see God's work completed in my life and I know he has something very special for me!

@leticia alvarez She was lying about who she was to me. She had multiple other men in her life and decided to pick one of them in November 2020. I found out over instagram and I wished her well on it. Sincerely too! But she tried for like a year to breadcrumb over instagram (liking my memes and watching my stories) to make me think that there was a chance. I didn't fall for it lol and she wound up engaged to that same guy lololol. I don't know how the marriage is going, but her profile picture is her riding a camel through the desert so that may be an indication lololololol. But yeah she got me, I'll give her that. But my life is sooooooo much better without the lies and deceit. I would encourage anyone who experiences this to RUN!!!! Those red flags need to be acknowledged and dealt with properly.

Okay God. I hear you. I didn't want to before but I do now. I just don't know how to let go. What does a person do to let go, Lord? Is it a silly question? Guide me please. I got saved last year. And for the first month or so I was on fire for God. Not so much anymore. I started feeling like I was doing Christianity wrong. Other Christians in my circle seemed so far ahead of me. Help. I am in a new relationship that neither me nor my partner want to end. We fell hard quite fast and I still love him. He loves me. He makes me feel safe and vice versa. Our connection is real. My mom's objections have gotten in the way of my feelings, and I am still recovering from the trauma she put me through.
