the “get a life” part really gave me a reality check. it’s such a simple piece of advice but it is so true, sometimes when we get attached we open up so much space in our day to day lives to constantly talk to them. and then when they arent constantly talking like before, youre left with all this space you made in your day to day routine. never let someone change the original life/routine you had before you met them!!

I have noticed a toxic pattern I had, always getting attached to people I talked to or dated. I felt so anxious everytime they did not respond and I felt like I was literally dying when I knew they are going to end it with me. I gave a boy a second chance cause he apologized for his mistake and treated me so much better than before but guess what, he ended up hurting me again the same way like the first time. I got super attached to him since I had this boy back and now when I lost him the second time it felt like my world was ending. I cried nonstop and even told my parents about it. I don’t have any close friends that‘s why I felt super alone and I was wondering whether I can make it alive or not. Guys this is completely ridiculous, we all know it, but in that time, as a anxious attached person, it really does feel like that. I listened to several videos about it but always end up here. It feels amazing hearing your words Liz. I love that you humble me so much and thanks to you I feel so much better. I am aware of my feelings and that it has nothing to do with that one person who made me feel like that. At the end it is always you against you. Never stop respecting yourself, loving yourself, taking care of your body and mind. Everyone deserves a second chance in life but not in my life. That was my lesson. And I will make sure to become the highest version of myself and everything will start to work in my favor. The biggest revenge is no revenge. Have a good day and thank you for reading

@@harshitasingh8944 it is okay to feel sad for a while but I can assure you it gets better with time!! Something that really helped me was a little note I wrote for myself to read when I got upset. After a week you‘ll start to feel a little better. There will still be days where you might get a little upset again but time heals every wound trust me!! Do something you loved doing before you met that guy.. a book you loved .. read it again.. draw something.. and exercise!! get back into ur routine and you will see it works!! ❤️
@xox-dilay
@xox-dilay 5 ай бұрын
@@harshitasingh8944 I‘m so sorry honey :( 🩷 but I can really assure you that this phase will end some day. It‘s been 3 weeks since my ex broke up with me and I cried nonstop for 2 weeks and did not do anything since I constantly felt bad. I had this victim mindset. Asked myself questions like “How could someone do this to me? Where did everything go wrong? Why was I so stupid and naive?“.. and it really hurts going through this phase of constant sadness and regret. Now this 3rd week has been different. I am regularly going out, studying and changing my mindset. If it was true love would it hurt so much? Ask yourself this question. I‘m sure that you‘re a really sweet girl and you should know that it is his loss. Like literally who is this guy even? who is he to hurt you? It‘s his loss. Something is wrong with him for upsetting you like this. Start thinking that way and slowly the sadness will fade trust me. And after a few week you will start to feel the way you felt before you met that boy!!! I have experienced this so many times and I can‘t wait for feeling nothing at all anymore for a person who does not respect my feelings. ❤️

when u really get into these two mindsets "it is what it is" & "there is always someone or something better for me when it comes about ending things",your life really gets better. Edited: I didnt know that this has so many likes and some people are telling me that this is narcissistic but the truth is u have to work thru some things with ur someone but when they do hurt u intentionally you dont have to hold onto them anymore.I am not narcissistic I just got broken up by someone and im hurt rn as i should be but you have to let go of things which are not meant to be with you & there really are good people that u havent even met on this earth 🤍

Same for me. I don't agree with Liz saying that people who get attached easily have no life, it's not that easy to explain. I do have a life, I constantly meet up with friends, go to events, restaurants, try out something new and I do have things I'm passionate about. I can be on my own and never get bored because I always find stuff to do. But I just tend to romanticize a lot. Especially because I've never been in a relationship, I just get excited when I like someone, wonder if they like me back, daydream about them and then get disappointed when they're not reciprocating my feelings the same way. I need to learn to not depend my emotional state so much on how that person is feeling about me.
@drearae1922
@drearae1922 Жыл бұрын
Felt this I dilute myself into thinking that one day they will change and I romanticize them to the point where I actually think it is them so when I find out that they aren’t going to change and that the person inside of my head isnt them I get disappointed and upset, but I’m already attached so it’s hard to detach from the person that created in my mind. Because I want it to be them .

Preach sister!!! Here’s my biggest takeaways: 1. Get a life!!! Replace all the time you’re thinking of them with a passion, hobby, or goal. 2. If it’s not out of love it’s ego!! I was friends with this girl for over a year, then become real close friends, then started talking and being intimate. But she was never interested in taking it further, just wanted to be friends with benefits. I set a boundary so no initimacy, just friends, but weirdly enough, started finding myself being jealous of her, because I am popular at my university. But she is more popular because she is foreign, beautiful, travels all around the world, is super well known, comes from a family with money, dances sings and presents all the time. Being jealous is not love. I have no self love if I’m being jealous. I’ve put her on a pedestal, but I need to remember that we are all equal.

Today I have learned 8 things. Detachment saves you from heartbreak and betrayal with yourself. It saves you from Fantasies and give happiness in your reality. Detachment is so important because you should have your own power instead of relying on someone to make you feel good about yourself. I need to stop generating from my ego and whatever my ego tells me is not true and I deserve everything best and I am blessed. I don't care what leaves I care what is the more great thing has entered in my life. I don't care about the lives that I see on social media because I am creater of my own happiness. I go my own hobbies that define me as me.everyone has their purpose and I learn everything everyday life is so beautiful and I am blessed alhamdillah.

Everyone here who's on your healing journey, remember what Liz said about fantasies. It applies to your healing as well. Do not fall into the trap of believing that you must heal by this certain time or in this certain way, so that you can do all the things you're "meant" to do and "be happy." If you're struggling right now, give yourself some love. Sit with yourself and ask yourself, "what's wrong?" You will get through this, and you are oh so beautiful.

Attachment usually occurs due to a limited mindset of a "limited" ambition or "limited" options. Have hobbies, goals, plan a daily routine for yourself, keep yourself busy, shower, workout, eat healthy, affirm, walk your daily steps, soak the sun for 10 minutes daily. And most importantly, KNOW YOUR WORTH. Like Liz said, anyone in your life is there to TEACH you. It's done by them either staying or by leaving so know that they can go and there are a ton of other people :)

Exactly! You have not seen the world yet and are unaware of all the goodness waiting for you in abundance ! Don't despair. Everything happens for a reason and everyone enters your life to teach you. Have ambitions for yourself. Have daily must-do's like getting 10 min sun, walking 5000 steps, eating fruits once and showering. Other than that, invest in yourself. Expand your horizons. Learn a new word or language. Try reading or writing. Maybe dance on your fav song. Call a family member or friend to catch up with. Draw and paint like you did when you were a child. YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE PERFECT. Stop looking at the details. We are literally living on a petite planet earth. There is no such thing as "time" or past in the higher dimensions. What is time anyway ? When the earth rotates and revolves you call it seasons and time lol. Stop stressing over the small stuff. Come on, live a little. Cook yourself a nice healthy meal and watch a funny movie. Do a DIY facial, take 5 extra mins in the shower, moisturize your body and sleep like a God/goddess. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL AND I AM SO PROUD OF YOU ❤

You need to understand that telling those people your BOUNDARIES will not going to hurt them because you are telling them about your comfort zone and What triggers you or what not and if they really care about you they'll understand your BOUNDARIES and they'll not getting hurt by showing some Respect to your BOUNDARIES. At the end of they day You are showing respect to their comfort zone over yours. That's why YOU ARE ONLY HURTING YOUR OWN FEELINGS OVER THEM. THINK ABOUT IT☺️ ( STOP THINKING THAT YOU'LL GONNA HURT THEIR FEELINGS YOU ARE LITERALLY HURTING YOUR OWN FEELINGS HAVE MERCY ON YOURSELF.) 1. if it leaves, i’m comfortable by thinking something better will ( _always_ ) come. because if i give this thing the power of making me happy or unhappy, i’m so powerless. it’s just an extra, because i don’t need anything or anybody to make me complete ! 3. we’re constantly being guided in our life, everything is meant to make us _wiser_ in some aspects. -> not “why is this happening to me?”, no. but “what is that _teaching_ me” is the mindset. once you realize that. you will begin to see the values in all of this 4. stop creating fantasies. just live in the present moment. 5. it will never be good enough. NEVER! so start appreciating EVERYTHING 6. don’t pass all the time in your head. don’t be too focused on being focused. 7. don’t have FOMO. = fear of missing out. if you don’t know what you’re missing out, you’re not missing out at all. that comes from no-comparison mindset, firsty. 8. “if i have this thing, i will be happy” FALSE. this is an attachment mentality. completely false! you have already your happiness within yourself. realise: you will never leave you. instead you wont have this specific thing forever. so it doesn’t come from that to have happiness. fuck, everything, i have me!!’ go to therapist, meditate, heal those things 9. “if god would been done with you, you won’t even be alive anymore”. you don’t need anyone, any situation to say : “oh hey, i got this thing now i’m valuable”. no. it is just because you’re alive, you’re breathing . you have everything you need within you and the faster you realize, the happier you’ll be. because all the people attached too much to something or someone will never be happy. you have to be happy and comfortable and confident and proud with your true self in order to get your dreams. even if someone appears to be literally perfect, they will NEVER be anything without this mentality. so be fucking proud of who you are, who you are becoming and who you could be. being happy with ourselves unconditionally is ALWAYS A WIN.

Damn, you hit the spot. I feel so low today because the person I care about was talking with random girls online despite us being in a "relationship", which triggered my trauma of not being good enough to any men I was romantically involved with - both IRL and online. Then it hit me, I was attached to the idea of what they are in my head. Thank you so much for helping me realize this, even though I randomly found your video here. Romanticizing people and situations has been my problem (because they make me feel "secure" in some way, but it's not when reality strikes). Your video is like a slap from the Universe/God to me lol and I'm thankful for that.

This is a video I didn’t know I needed until it popped up… I’ve been out of high school for 7 years and haven’t done anything because o have spent all of that time attaching to people that already served their purpose and it has driven me to a point of depression so deep that I have been having passive suicidal thoughts in recent weeks. Thank you for this.

This is absolutely INSANE, I have been consistently telling God and trying to detach. I have been really starting to learn about the Law of Detachment the past 2-3 weeks and Liz comes out w this video...she's intuitive, empathic like me, and knows what we need. Kudos to you sister, thank you so much for helping me in my healing journey!

@@Daryana_lilith Ig when you’ve been hurt by multiple ppl in different situations, you toughen up and understand exactly why you should be self reliant when it comes to company and distant yourself from ppl. Talking to humans sometimes is nice but I’ve always been the type of person who loves being alone and these days, I rarely interact with ppl. The more I tried connecting with others, the more I realized I feel more comfortable and at peace when I’m alone. Not like I’m completely antisocial but I do love enjoying myself alone and ppl these days just tire me out. They come and go, nobody really stays but I’ll always have myself so that’s why i just don’t seek other ppl at all these days and I’ve been better than ever with myself. Plus, makes shit so much easier for an introvert like me 🖤

I’m so thankful that you posted this video right when i needed it the most, i’m having a hard time to let go and detached myself from my ex. I created this idea of him in my head and when he showed me who he really is i became disappointed and hurt. It’s really the thought that holding me back like i’m creating this fantasy in my head that “what if miracle happens and we’re gonna get back together again” you see our mind poison us from the truth. I love how you enlighten me on this video that i should’ve focus and love myself more. Thank you Liz you’re like a big sister that everyone needs ❤️

As a psycholigist, I'd only say that the ego part is not named correctly but everything else is so clearly and truthfully put. I wonder whats her source of inspiration and knowledge but either way I'm so happy that there are people like her putting such helpfup content for others. We have created such a lonely world, and we need more humans, more real talk, and more authenticity

She says "our ego makes us put others on a pedeastal and makes us obsess over them cos it makes us feel like we're not good enough". This description is rather of a low-self esteem. And indeed then this person would need others validation more and consequetly seek higer attachment as they don't feel enough on their own. When we manage to stop being obsessed with our ego, we actually accept ourselves more, and we are capable of accepting others too. Anyway, I didn't mean to go after a few of her sentences just wanted to respond to you :) Overall she is a nice fresh air on the internet and she seems to mean well

@@Evieran Actually I would say that she's right, with your ego and romanticising a person who is not good for you, it will definitely make you think better of them and unknowingly obsess over them, and then because of your growing obsession when the person isnt who you romanticize them to be and actually treats you like trash, you will begin to think your in the wrong. Its not neccessarily because you originally had low self esteem but because you put them on a pedestal on which they definitely dont belong on. sorry if this doesnt make sense.

i am an empath and being empath is both a strength and weakness but i also figured out that detachment is the key to fell less pain or be less emotional or less affected. Being strong mentally and emotionally is very difficult thing to do for an empath because as much as possible we want to be gentle and soft and give it all out but we also know giving it all away wont make us get what we deserve…. We can do this 💪🏻

I don't usually write comments but I had to, I'm so glad this was recommended to me. My ex cheated on me and I couldn't get over him, I kept giving him chances, which led to my family members calling me cheap and easy. I was too caught up thinking about the "what ifs" and totally disrespected myself. I deserve better than this, Liz helped me to see things differently, as a lesson, as a motivation to become a better me, It's crazy how just watching 1 video can make me get totally detached from a person that I thought was the love of my life. I believe that better things will come to me, because I am a good person, i do not deserve to be treated like this, it was a lesson. This video is inspiring and eye-opening for me, thank you so much Liz!
