Tbh fair there is nothing saying god does not exist and most atheists say that there is no evidence or information for god existing but tell me how would you get and understand a being that is omniscient and omnipotent and lives literally outside the universe? I think it’s a little hypocritical saying god has little to no evidence existing when the whole Big Bang is but a scientific theory and so is most if not all atheistic beliefs for some now I don’t think I can change any one’s mind because really unless you go to war with them or they change their own mind it will never work also for me it’s sad seeing other peoples of faith leave because that faith abused them or made them feel disgusted when it was supposed to benefit them and all people.

Actually that isn’t exactly right. I thought this at first, but actually the first question is where he plants the trick. An atheist is someone who DOES NOT believe in a god. The question that he is asking is “Do you BELIEVE that there is NO god” which could be interpreted as the exact same thing, but he is interpreting it as “I know that there is no god” which is specifically a ‘gnostic atheist’. Therefore the “do you have evidence” question kinda holds weight. I imagine that most atheists are agnostic, due to the fact that we can’t truly disprove a god.

Almighty’s saying ‏Or (the Unbelievers' state) is like the depths of darkness in a vast deep ocean, overwhelmed with billow topped by billow, topped by (dark) clouds: depths of darkness, one above another: if a man stretches out his hands, he can hardly see it! for any to whom Allah giveth not light, there is no light! ‏Modern sciences have revealed that in the bottom of the deep seas with abundant water - the deep sea - there is great darkness, to the extent that living creatures live in this darkness without visual tools, but live using their other senses such as hearing. ‏These dark darknesses are not found in the sea water that surrounds the Arabian Peninsula, but rather they have been discovered in the oceans far from it ‏This verse shows another aspect of the Qur’anic miracle, which is that the sea wave that all people only knew was one wave in the seas ‏The verse says there is another wave in the depths of the sea, and divers discovered at the beginning of the twentieth century a fact that was hidden in the depths of the sea, that fact that shows another wave that throws divers into it as it is thrown at swimmers, and this wave was discovered by Scandinavian divers. I will tell you what the Prophet said. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: One day the Bedouins who live in the desert will build tall towers, and this is my duty. Go and see where the tallest buildings are and who owns them. ‏God Almighty: ((We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth. But is it not sufficient concerning your Lord that He is, over all things, a Witness?) And God informed the Qur’an of this by saying: “Did you think that we created you without a purpose and that you would never return to us?” ‏All these and other matters that I have not mentioned indicate that this is a prophet from God..More important than that, as I told you, is the only religion that commands you to worship one Creator, who created everything and before him many prophets. ‏Say, if you wish, there is no god but God, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of God ‏ speak from the heart .

Actually, he's not shifting the burden of proof at all. There are two types of atheists--weak and strong. Weak atheists are those who simply lack belief in God. These atheists have no burden of proof to meet, as they don't maintain a positive ontological position on the question of God's existence. Their position (if you can even call it that) amounts to nothing more than a mere description of their personal psychological state. Strong atheists, on the other hand, make the positive claim that "God does not exist." In other words, rather than merely exhibiting a lack of belief in God, strong atheists actually maintain the ontologically and epistemologically positive proposition that there is, in fact, no God. It is to this class of atheist that the video is directed. Those who maintain a strong atheistic worldview certainly carry a burden of proof. That much is simply indisputable, and anyone who disagrees is plainly confused. Strong atheists may use any number of arguments in an attempt to meet their burden of proof (for example, the problem of evil, the problem of suffering, omnipotence paradoxes, omniscience paradoxes, etc.). However these atheists attempt to meet their burden of proof, one thing remains certain: the burden of proof is there to be met. Unfortunately, most self-proclaimed atheists these days are terribly unsophisticated (if not outright illiterate) philosophically. As such, they simply aren't aware that positive claims like "there is no God" carry with them inextricable burdens of proof. If I had a penny for every time I've seen an atheist claim that they carry absolutely no burden of proof, only to turn right around and positively claim that "there is no God"--well, I'd probably have enough money to fix all the holes that my head has had to bang into my walls after reading their asinine comments.

So it is effectively strawmanning atheism by presenting a select position that does not apply to all atheists in general. Atheists do not... unless they take the position that no Gods exists, which again... most do not. To say it's never been experienced is question begging. And the third question is very simple if you followed the video. If you have the positive belief the God does not exist (as opposed to being agnostic), and you also believe that beliefs are proportioned to evidence, then that simply entails that you would have to have evidence that justifies your positive belief that God does not exist in order to be consistent. The obvious out is to either be agnostic or to reject that beliefs always need evidence behind them to be justified.

Thanks for asking! Here are my answers: 1. I don't necessarily believe that "God does not exist"... I just don't have the belief "God exists." My view of God is very similar to your view of fairies. You probably don't believe that fairies exist, but you also probably don't believe "Fairies don't exist" (since you can't be sure that God didn't create fairies somewhere in reality). 2. I do like evidentialism, and generally find it to be a very sound philosophy (especially compared to faith-based systems of belief). 3. Since I answered "no" to your first question, your question here doesn't apply to me, but I should point out that this series seems (to me) to be a standard shifting of the burden of proof. In most things (aliens, God, fairies, atoms, Australia, etc) disbelief is the proper default position, with positive belief only coming proportionate to the evidence. Using this standard, a reasonable person would believe in Australia and atoms, but not in aliens, God, or fairies.

My real problem is that he flat out lied about the questions. It’s definitively a gotcha. A question tree where each follow up only matters to him if you answered the previous one a certain way.
