The Warning is a Rock Band from Monterrey Mexico, they are Daniela (Dany) 21, Guitar, Piano, Lead Vocals. Paulina (Pau pronounced Pow) 19, Drums, Piano, Lead and Back Up Vocals. Alejandra (Ale pronounced Ah Le) 16, Bass Guitar, Piano, Back Up Vocals, They started playing as a Band in 2013, they started playing covers, in 2014 they played a cover of Metallica's Enter Sandman that video has over 22 million views on KZbin, in 2015 they released an EP called "Escape The Mind", in 2017 they released their First Album called "XXI Century Blood", in 2018 they released their second Album called "Queen Of The Murder Scene", all Fan Funded, in July of 2020 they were signed by Lava Republic Records in September of 2020 they went to New Jersey to Record their Third Album with Producer David Bendeth, that Album in Done and should be released later this year.

These ladies recorded an EP and 2 full albums of originals, opened for Def Leppard twice and The Killers twice and played major festivals, before the oldest even turned 19. Let that sink in. They have even played the legendary Whiskey-a-Go-Go 4 times, and have an open invitation to play there any time! All of their music sounds familiar, yet fresh! They are a throwback to GREAT classic Rock and many sub Genres. They are now signed to Lava records (Greta Van Fleet, Lorde, etc.) and their third album is complete and should come out any time now. This was done for De(Tour), a virtual festival I believe to raise money for struggling clubs., and it was how Lava Records introduced the band. Apparently this was the only song that got played twice. Three minutes of the purest head banging bliss. It seems that a number of people (including their parents) wanted the song to be longer, so they went back and tried a few things, and nope, didn't like any of them, decided the song as is was perfect. Hard to argue with that. Survive is the song that pulled a lot of us in. Very catchy and had it been on a major label would have gotten a lot of play everywhere (well, so would this, and surely a lot of their other songs). The TedX performance is the one most people know about, but they've rearranged the opening a bit and Pau has developed a serious snarl (like somebody really, really pissed her off and their ass is about to become a kick drum). Black Holes (from their first full album, XXI Century Blood) is a power ballad and if you read the lyrics you'd hardly believe that a happy 13 year old (Pau) wrote the song. But all three sisters read a lot and have vivid imaginations. As others have pointed out, their subject matter is often very dark. Their stage presence is pure hard rock. If you want to see what they can do with an established standard, there are two recordings of Atlas Rise (one in their basement and one at the Whiskey-a-Go-Go as an encore for a fan who's a big Metallica fan). Essentially all of their funding has come from their fans, and the sisters are humble by nature and are very supportive of their fans (the Warning Army). They went without a record contract for a long time because they wanted it on their terms -- a lot of labels wanted them to change their music, their performance, and all that (let's not even think about what *that* meant). One record exec asked them if they'd rather play for 12 or 12000 fans, and Pau responded "I believe I speak for all of us when I say that we'd rather play the music we want, the way we want, wearing what they want for 12 people than to do something we don't enjoy for 12,000". Well, they've played for 20,000 at at least one or two festivals in Mexico, opened for Def Leppard, the Killers, etc, so they got the last laugh. They spent 7 months negotiating the contract with Lava because they wanted to ensure that their fans wouldn't be left out in the cold; they kept their Patreon, for example. Do not think of them as girls. They may be young in years and joke around, but they are formidable both in their music and their business acumen.

This is part of their concept album Queen of the Murder Scene, in which a girl goes from love to obsession, stalking, murder, and madness. In this song, the girl (the Queen) is self-mutilating. That's why dull knives cut better - it hurts more. She has committed murder in a previous song and she is now fighting with her evil side for control.

The Warning are three sisters that started making music very young Alejandra (Ale = Aleh, not the beer. Bass, backing vocals and keyboard, the youngest) and Paulina (Pau = Pow. Drums, backing/lead vocals and keyboard, middle sister) at 3 and Daniela (Dany = Dany. Guitar, lead vocals and keyboard, the oldest) 5, all learning classical piano. They got the video game Rock Band and fell in love with the feeling of performing on other instruments. Their father asked if they wanted to learn another instrument and the girls jumped at the opportunity and gravitated to the instruments they played in Rock Band. They had been uploading their musical journey to KZbin for their family to see and had wanted to try and play music together as a band around 2012 and rehearsed for a small performance for their school xmas show. Well They loved the experience so much they began learning and playing cover songs of hard rock and metal bands. One song in particular shot them into the limelight. That song, "Enter Sandman" by Metallica had gone viral (currently over 22 000 000 views) and had gotten the attention of Metallica, Dee Snyder and The Ellen Show!.The Warning wrote, composed and recorded an EP called Escape the Mind in 2015 to experience that whole process and to determine what type of music they liked to make... Thankfully they chose Rock/Hard Rock! Ellen Degeneres invited the band to play live on her show, to which they accepted and played Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne, after the performance Ellen and Target awarded the sisters $10 000 each to attend Berklee School of Music in Boston. They performed a number of small and large shows afterward and began writing and composing new material for their first full length album XXI Century Blood in 2017. They supported this album with some very high profile gigs like opening for Def Leppard and separately The Killers for two shows each in Mexico. Also following other large rock bands in a couple music festivals. In 2018 they wrote and recorded Queen of the Murder Scene and released it in November of that year and have toured Mexico and South American venues. In June of 2019 they released a single, Narcisista. A scathing rebuke of their Mexican critics that had accused the band of being "Malinchista" a Mexican term used to call out cultural traitors, because the group has only recorded English language songs. Well this song is in Spanish and it is full of attitude and angst fired toward those critics. This was recorded live in June 2019 st Foro Didi in Monterrey Mx (their hometown) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWiscnieg5mFg68 The Warning is totally fan funded through Patreon, KZbin and crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe and Kickstarter. They have turned down offers from record labels and talent shows like American Idol because they did not want to lose their control of their music, image and wanted to focus on learning. In fact in one interview with a record label they were asked if they would rather play to 12 people or 12000. Paulina piped up and said The Warning would rather play in front of 12 if it meant they would keep their integrity and could play the music they want to play, how they want to play... That is the most Rock n Roll quote ever! So after a very successful Kickstarter campaign to raise fund for a North American tour and to record a new album achieving their goal within 24 hours and surpassing that goal by 600%. Unfortunately the Covid19 Pandemic forced the band to cancel their tour plans and postpone making their album. Their last live show before the global lock down was March 14 2020 at the Vive Latino 2020 Festival in Mexico City.This did not stop The Warning from performing though, they played a full concert set from their basement studio/rehearsal space for free for their fans on KZbin and Facebook achieving well over 50000 simultaneous viewers on March 25 2020. They have since performed from The Warning a couple more times including for the city of Brownsville Tx for the Fourth of July virtual celebration and later in the summer for a charity event with rock legends like Slash and Ringo Star. On August 9th 2020 The Warning announced to their Patreon community that after seven long months of negotiations they had signed a five record deal with Lava Records a label under the Republic Records and Universal Music family. During the announcement they reiterated their dedication to their own creative integrity and dedicated fans on Patreon and were able to retain both in their record contract with Lava. In Sept of 2020 The Warning traveled to New Jersey USA to begin rehearsal and eventually recording of their third album. After 3 months of recording and a month and a half of mastering, mixing and editing the third album was completed at the beginning of February 2021. All that remains as of 22 02 21 is the album design and artwork amd logistics of the release which will hopefully happen by April 2021. So now you've been WARNED! All 3 can sing lead when they want to and they tend to switch off if the normal lead needs a break. Since this video they have recorded and mixed their 3rd studio album which should be out in the next few months under the Lava Records [Republic] label. They also have an early EP when they were much younger and a single out in Spanish. All 3 are fluent in Spanish and English and the two older ones (guitar - Dany @21 and drums - Pau @19) are working on learning other languages as well. The youngest is the Bass player Ale @16. BTW, they all started by learning to play piano before they were 5 so they also mix in playing keys during their live shows. They do put on a great show as you will find out but the thing that really stands out to me is how good their songwriting is. Especially Black Holes which Pau wrote at 13. They have played at the Whisky a Go Go 4 times. Their last appearance was in January of 2020 when they did back to back nights. There are pretty good videos of them from there with good sound.
